  1. How to send in a Report: Send in the Report, move on. How to fish for drama: state you're going to send in a Report - no matter if you do or not.
  2. Your feelings where objective matters are concerned is not as relevant as you might like to believe. They in fact stopped being relevant the moment you tried to claim that your experience was the norm which you very much did with your phrasing. And the usual responses are being given at this point. How many more entries from the Playbook are going to come out and be attempted?
  3. Next step in the Playbook: "I'm gonna report you and you and you over there! Phear meh for I wish to stifle responses!"
  4. Oh do please keep pretending you're in the right. Got it dead wrong on the one pretending to be an expert as well - another page in the usual Playbook. Get new material.
  5. I see that the Playbook is coming out now .... How utterly typical. Like I said, new material is needed ... This went exactly as expected.
  6. You'd best come up with far better material - heard this all before and from better.
  7. That's nice. This isn't a cruise, get a better analogy if you're going to attempt to justify yourself here as that one does not hold up whatsoever. In the meantime, how about you put that experience you have to good use? Go. Solve these issues, perfectly. In the meantime, reality itself will keep on reminding you that issues like this will continue to happen until such a day as someone develops the perfect system. That is the reality - deal with it. Don't want to? Tough, It's not going to change any time soon, anywhere. No one whatsoever has stated that a friend's list is not a basic function of such programs. No one. What has been stated is that these systems universally have issues - be they ongoing or intermittent. Guess what? It is not as widespread as you wish to present. Beginning, end. Go argue with and waste the time of someone else.
  8. Now we have entered the phase wherein there is not just simple complaining but an abject refusal to acknowledge basic reality ... Some here were attempting to aid in troubleshooting and have gotten one of the usual types of response - "It's not me!" When you've perfectly solved this issue - one that has plagued social systems since the bloody dawn of the Internet and of private message systems - do make certain to cash in on the solution. As for the rest? Again, SSDD and the same closing thought applies: Do make certain to cash in when you've found that oh so perfect solution.
  9. This issue has persisted for over a decade within Second Life It exists outside of Second Life as well - this is not the only program that has this sort of issue and you are fooling yourself (at best) if you believe otherwise Gamer/coding background means bupkis as far as this goes - congrats on the background, unless you're going to code a competitor from the ground up it is meaningless for this topic I could go on further but what is the point? Want to complain, complain. You'll do so anyway. Oh and as for it being repeatable/having certain criteria to trigger? Yeah, haven't seen it whatsoever - it has been quite random.
  10. The Friends list has always had flaky moments. Funnily enough, Second Life is not the only place I have seen over the years that has had that sort of issue and it certainly will not be the last either - not for quite a while yet. Funnily enough with very few exceptions the Dashboard Friends list has had the fewest issues - I long ago got into the habit of using that to see who is and is not online before even deciding if I am going to log in or not. Not really going to touch anything else as it is not the first time much of it has been brought up nor will it be the last - even if much of it is minimal in scope/scale/impact the next time someone else harps.
  11. .... I haven't used the Dashboard Status Page entry for a long time now. I have the status page bookmarked as well as on its own 'dial' for my web browser's start pages. Now for a newer user, yes this could be problematic.
  12. Yeah, that's after the ones that are archived as "Public" versions - the archived ones date back to at least 2006 or earlier. What is pictured there came later on and were among the first batch of attempts to revamp the experience. Sadly I do not think any copies of those exist.
  13. You just described the Orientation process that existed as Orientation Island and that was archived as Orientation Island Public. From there users were teleported to another set of Islands which resemble the two Public Help Islands in existence now as similar 'archives'.
  14. ah yes, yet another video wherein someone dedicates a segment to pretending to explore and examine Second Life while not really doing either and wherein at least one of the Usual Voices from these fora pretend this is somehow the normal experience for anyone or some other tidbit of absolute BS ... Yep ... SSDD on this particular front.
  15. Frankly this is not too different form the way it has always been and the update threads were far more than one often gets outside of specific games/platforms. At the least they're going to still do release announcements in some way.
  16. By all means, lock the thread. Leave the posts within it alone however - a record needs to be kept.
  17. A lot more than that is missing there, Love ...
  18. There are plenty of end users that seem to think that the present perks of Premium and Premium Plus do not outweigh the cost ... Many of whom use the yearly subscription option and stockpile their L$ so they can Process Credit later in the year to 'save on' that cost, even going so far as to suggest that/act as though it is the norm to do so all while ignoring that there are those who cannot take that sort of chance or that have to manage their expenses on as close to a month to month basis as is possible ... Funny that, huh? Less value to such people while there are those who have to manage things a bit more finely that obviously find more value ....
  19. Ah yes, and Linden Lab's most recent addition finally gets dragged into the "discussion" (in an off handed way) as though it has any merit whatsoever or as though it is what some have claimed it to be (spoiler alert, it isn't). You can stop trying to find ways to defend the original thread idea now - no defense exists. At all.
  20. My proof is a pair of things called post history and paying attention. What you have proposed several times now is not happening with the OP - beginning and end. There is not a single thing you can respond with that makes it otherwise. Stop. It.
  21. Locked? Probably. Removed? No. Not even with edited posts/removed responses. Leave it as is and roll back any edits made in attempt to clean up one's image/pretend things were not said. ETA: Yes, I'm quite irked and have been beyond fed up with some of this - it is well beyond time for some users to have to own their words.
  22. Shops come and go all the time with no guarantee their products will remain usable whatsoever Breedables are one heck of a 'gamble' in this regard. Doubly so for any that do not allow for making them 'permanent' in some way Ignorance of the Covenant stipulations is no excuse whatsoever - if you're not going to read it in enough detail to make sure you don't get hit by a Report ... Don't go renting or picking up a parcel there
  23. Putting this into its own post/response here as well: This thread is - as is usual for the OP's MO - a half and half thread. Half serious and half trolling - the latter is in the presentation (over the top honestly) but the overall premise is dead serious. The entire thing is so out of touch and over the top as to be beyond ridiculous. As is this notion of reporting anyone who dares to be honest. It is here partly for the Drama as one can easily figure out just by the fact that it was announced that the OP is sending in Reports as opposed to simply Reporting and moving on.
