  1. I tend to find that the people places are the clubs. Off the top of my head there's Blackhearts, Classic Rock Rumours Big Daddy's and many more besides. I tend to enjoy being alone more these days. I'm a saddo
  2. Top one reason why people don't buy inworld. Overly paranoid and privacy invading security devices. Keep those out of your store if you want to keep your customers. I like shopping inworld, but I'll never return to a store with one of these devices.
  3. Thank you Lumbar but I can't see that image. Any chance you could post again please?
  4. Ooo Nuuna I have that corset and I love it. I only wear silver and white, which presents its own challenges.
  5. " I know when I need to tp out to a customer and when I don't. I don't need to hand someone a chair in person to make sure it works right. I pull it out of inventory, sit on it, and if it is fine, I send it. If they still have a problem, then I go check out their land settings to see if scripts are working. (And my chairs don't require "setting up".) My goal is to take care of problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. This is my full time job and I treat it that way. " @ Pamela. You didn't make that clear on your last post and your suggestion to send it again didn't infer any service attached to the redelivery. I can see now that you do provide, but not all merchants sell what you sell to be useable "straight out of the box", so as I said, it's not always faster to just send another one. My post wasn't aimed at you. It was trying to see the other side.
  6. @Chelsea, I want to shop in your shop.
  7. @Pamela, I would hand her the chair in person to make sure it worked right. Often, the error is with the way the customer sets the product up. Handing them another one without support may be faster, but it won't solve the problem and if they set it up wrong again, they won't be coming back to you for anything.
  8. Try bringing up the advanced menu (CTRL+ALT+D), then go advanced/character/character test/test female. That'll take you back to "Ruth", the original default avatar. Go into the places you stored all your body parts and re-wear them. Try all this AFTER clearing your caches first though, and maybe restarting your computer.
  9. I have subfolders after subfolders. For instance, if I were to open dresses it would offer me mini, evening, sundress or cocktail, then under each subfolder would be colours. I put everything away as soon as I open it (mostly, ahem) and then if it's copy, I save the box in clothing boxes, which has subfolders of dresses, casual, tops, pants, and shoes....and shoes has a subfolder of shoes and sandals, boots and overknee boots. Phew! Took me three straight days to set it up but it seems to work.
  10. It's one person and one profile. Anyone with any sense will read past a personal gripe and you never know, they might even check you out for themselves and find out what the truth is. Those that are discouraged by one person's profile are probably not the clientelle you would prefer anyway. At least you had the courage and decency to ban them personally and not rely on a machine to do it for you. For that alone, you have my respect.
  11. I only ever get that message when I type my username or password incorrectly. I know it's a dumb question but you have checked the boxes and made sure everything is ok in them?
  12. If you were in busy mode you won't have received them, but they will have still been delivered. If this was not the case then first check your objects folder, then your lost and found, and if it was clothing, your clothing folder. After that, all I can suggest is to contact the seller and see if they will replace the items. I've been here over 2 years and I've only been left without my item once. It's very rare.
  13. Have you tried a different viewer? When all I had was my laptop, I crashed on every viewer but phoenix held out the best. Cool viewer was after that, followed by Snowglobe, Imprudence, Kirsten's and finally the official LL viewer which crashed before it loaded every time. It might not be the problem of course, but it might help to minimise the real problem until you can get it fixed.
  14. WOW! Thank you. :smileyhappy: I agree about the irises. They are the part that needs the most work. Of all the things I've tried to make, I'm enjoying eyes the most, simply because it's such a challenge to make them look real, so your compliments about that are a great encouragement. On another note, I have a cheapo Median drawing tablet but I still love it, but for the eyes, I used my fingerpad on my laptop. It was all I had for such a long time that it almost feels like holding a paintbrush to me now.
  15. Okay I read a few tutes and played around and I think my second attempt is getting there. I know I have a long way to go, but it's very rewarding. Thank you again Chosen for pointing me on the right road.
  16. Fantastic idea. My thoughts are with all of the Japanese people. I truly hope that your loved ones are safe and that your life returns to normal as soon as possible. El x
  17. Have you scrolled to the end of them?
  18. Thanks Chosen. I'm gonna have a go at the other tutorial today and see if I can do any better. Your help is much appreciated. El x
  19. Thanks Chosen I'll do that and look at the new tutorial. I'm not bent out of shape. I like constructive criticism, but, considering it was my first attempt, some sugar on the pill would have been nice. Thanks again.
  20. I thought I'd have a bash at this and tbh I'm not unhappy with the results, except that they are HOOOGE!!!! I used a French template download with a mask in place, but having used the SL template without a mask, I find the same thing. The template and tute is here: http://www.avatars-3d.com/tutorial-template-secondlife/262-eye-avatar-secondlife Now, I would love to do something about this myself and fix the mask, but I only know what they do on Hallowe'en night. The template is very good otherwise. Can anyone help me out on how to make smaller eyes, but still use my lovely masks? Thanks again from a very grateful muppet. :)
  21. Thanks guys. Looks like I'll just have to get better at it.
  22. Hi all, Has anyone come up with a template yet that has the upper and lower body together? It would be lovely to be able to draw a longer top without all the grief of matching the top half to the bottom. Thanks in advance, El x
  23. If you are using the Emerald viewer, it has a feature to make your avatar phantom. I've found it very useful in sandboxes and welcome areas. It's also quite fun to feel the griefers' disappointment wash over you as they sail straight through you. ;-)
