  1. Hello Antea. Clear your browser's cache, relog in your dashboard or try a difference browser. If the problem remains submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Report the problem there including the error mesage(s) you get, also a pic which shows the items in your shopping card and wait for a reply.

  3. Hello Goshe and welcome to SL Forums. There are many causes for a CC failure. Often here (almost daily) residents report similar problems. The best you have to do to contact Billing Support. Other options: Toll-Free Support Number for UK, Germany, France, Japan, Spain, Brazil, and Portugal: +0080071237123 Customer support phone number (All Countries): +44 2033620268 Email: support@payments.secondlife.com
  4. Hello Carmsie. You have to deed the land to your group. If you deed the land to your group other members will no be able to sell the land except if you give them this power under their role in your group (parcel management). Your second issue will be resolved if you deed the land in the group assuming that you have set correctly the abilities into your group (parcel settings --> Change music & media settings and parcel powers --> Always create objects).
  5. Hello SecretFromHeaven and welcome to SL Forums. Are you sure that you didin't get the original shape? If you purchased it in world is possible not to find it into the "Objects folder" but elsewhere in your inventory. Use the search (filters) there typing the name or a part of it and see if you can find the shape this way. If not, contact the merchant sending a notecard and ask politely for redelivery. Be patient because some residents don't log in every day. About your second question open your dashboard (log in http://secondlife.com ) --> Account on the left --> Transaction History to see where exactly your lindens gone.
  6. Hello rozzaliinda and welcome to SL Forums. Try to log in a different region. Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere are protected lands which are recommended. If you use the offiial viewer and you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. If the problem remains reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and try again. The problem could be relative with your firewall also as Cinn already mentioned. More about how you can configure your software and hardware firewalls properly for SL here.
  7. Hello Geordy and welcome to SL Forums. As CommerceTeam Linden reports here, you can submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Report the problem there, include a pic with your shopping cart which shows inside your items and wait for a reply.
  8. Hello Wazzas. Did you try to change the Landing Point under "About Land" window --> Options?
  9. Hello Mikaela. Sounds that you experiment terrible lag for me. We don't know your system specs and about your internet connection but a first suggestion is to set your performance to lower under preferences --> graphics (try low to check if you see any difference) and also disable everything you don't need or it is no necessary like voice, stream, etc. Easily you can understand if lag is the reason showing the statistics bar with Ctrl+Shift+1. Explanations about here.
  10. Hello redfox. I think already you got answers and suggestions about dancers in your previous thread yesterday. You can read also other ways to earn lindens in SL at the following threads: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Everything-Else/How-to-gain-money/qaq-p/1290233 http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Linden-Dollars-L/Where-do-I-Earn-Lindens/qaq-p/1335573 Even we accept that you can earn 20 bucks a month dancing is it worth to spend 1 month in SL for it? Will you improve your economical statues in real with more 20 bucks a month? Just i wonder...
  11. Seems that this thread continues here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Linden-Dollars-L/Can-i-make-over-20-bucks-a-month-if-i-become-a-dancer-on-Second/qaq-p/1375617
  12. Hello Irene. Good point. The "solved by" list shows always the resident's name who posted last of all . Someone else posted the same in past but i can't find the thread. Minor issue but it would be good to be corrected.
  13. Hello ScrewyLouie and welcome to SL Forums. If you have already downloaded the viewer, run it and in your login screen give the command Menu Help --> About Second Life --> Copy to clipboard and finally paste here editing your post (Options on the right --> Edit).
  14. Hello Gothromanic and welcome to SL Forums. Sounds like a graphics issue. It would be helpful to post your graphics card for a better answer. You can edit your post (Options on the right --> Edit) adding more details. My first suggestions are: Download the last drivers for your graphics card. If this doesn't work or if you have already have them, Disable VBO under Preferences --> Graphics --> Hardware in V3 and also HTTP textures under Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) and see if that makes any difference.
  15. Hello funkilicous. Normally yes. However give a try to contact billing support to see if something can change. As a Basic, you still can get land even a whole region on a private estate (no on Mainland) buying it from another resident.
  16. Hello Nanicolas and welcome to SL Forums. The classical suggestion (it works for some residents but no for all) is to clear your cache and relog. More details (and other possible solutions) here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Inventory_loss Check out also the answers for a similar question we had some earlier: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Inventory/Inventory-instability/qaq-p/1374683 By the way here is a resident supported forum. We are residents like you, so we can't fix your problem, only to give some suggestions. Good luck.
  17. Hello Margo. For the vast majority the new V3 UI was a big improvement. That 's what i believe too. If you don't like the new UI, you have already got answers here about your options.
  18. Hello. There is no region with this name at http://gridsurvey.com/index.php
  19. Hello brightsmiles. Is your pic less than 500*500 pixels? All details here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Capture_Love_Contest
  20. Hello TatumDelaney. It is a known bug. Please see: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7492 Maestro Linden explains possibly why this happens. Also have a look at the following thread: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Server/deliveries-failing-AFTER-acceptance-major/td-... You can find there another explanation from CommerceTeam Linden. However anytime you can contact the merchant(s) reporting the problem and asking politely for redelivery. If you purchased them at Marketplace and you don't get a reply you can also submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> Failed Marketplace Delivery including the order number and the name(s) of the item(s) that failed to be delivered. Good luck.
  21. Hello alyssia and welcome to SL Forums. You can't do it in SL, only voice chat is available. You need other applications for video chat like msn or skype.
  22. Hello Venillah and welcome to SL Forums. The stuff you purchase, arrives in your inventory as a box with contests and saved in the folder called "Objects" in your main inventory. You can't attach or wear the box immidiately. You must to open (unpack it). So you go at a region where you have the right to rezz. Public Sandboxes are recommended about. You can find several of them here. So choose a Sandbox --> View this destination --> View on map --> Visit this location --> You see a pop-up window --> Allow --> you see the place profile in your monitor in world on the right --> Teleport. When you arrive at the sandbox you drag the box on the ground --> right click on it --> Open --> Copy to inventory. A folder is created in your inventory (easier to find it looking at the 2nd tab of your inventory called "Recent"). Now you are ready to use (wear or add the stuff, clothes etc with right click on them in your inventory --> Wear or Add. You repeat the same process to open (unpack) all the boxes. When you finish it is good to delete them. I don't understand what you mean when you say that you closed the chat. Your stuff normally is still into your Objects folder.
  23. It works for me (with right click --> Paste and Ctrl+V).
  24. Hello redfox and welcome to SL Forums. There is no a specific answer for your question. A dancer is possible to work for hours without tips and another day or under different conditions to make thousands in short time. It depends of: Your avatar. Is it attactive and beautiful? The club you dance. What about the traffic there? How long you dance. Many old dances have their own fans who follow them everywhere. Do you know to "emote" making the visitor to tip you? What more you offer instead of other girls? Why someone would choose you and no another girl to spend some time with? How many other dances are there? Less dancers, more possibilities to get more tips. You open voice? If yes, you will get better tips. General suggestions: Dance always at the same place. It helps visitors to know you and come back to you. Never try to im a guest when you see that he has already approached or chat with another girl. Always say something more than a "Thanks" when you get a tip. We say thank you when someone ask us "How are you"? .... I am fine, thanks! (even for a small tip) Always be in a good mood when you dance and "rumor" that you dance at first for fun (of course some tips are always welcome). Always empty your tipjar when your guest leaves. It is easier to get a tip with an empty tipjar, than when your tipjar is full. (but never if you have a second one there) You never know who is the good tipper, neighter when someone is coming there to tip or no, even he/she is 1 day old. (same attitude with all guests) Avoid places where owners "force" you to rent an adboard in order to get the job, saying that it will be good for you and your business. (it is a good way to cover a part of their costs) Avoid places (clubs) where commissions or over than 20%. Maybe is better to start at a freelance place where you keep the 100% of the tips. Good luck.
