  1. Hello Swift0H and welcome to SL Forums. Seems like a graphics issue. As already mentioned download the last drivers for your graphics card (assuming that your system meets the requirements for SL): Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Amd: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx Intel: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ If this doesn't fix your issue, try a different viewer: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory

  3. Hello. About Mainland a monthly US$ land fee required as you can here depending of sq m2 and how many prims you need. To buy land on Mainland you need a premium membership. The other options is to buy land on a private island (estate). In this case you don't need a premium memberships. Buy land means that you get more of owner's rights but you have to pay a weekly or monthly tier to another resident (land owner) who have got the land and pays LL. Many offers here in forums under Land forum, more at Marketplace and in world.
  4. Hello YaninaYanochka. Except of Linden Realms, voodoo sploders is another way to earn lindens in SL (usually more). Land owners offer lindens trying to increase traffic and make their places known. Residents get informed online for the places with bigger pots and run to earn some lindens. Another way to earn lindens is to participate in contests. Every day clubs organize contests and often awards for the winners are really big. You find them joining in groups and watching the events using the sl search. Good luck.
  5. Hello Belliosa and welcome to SL Forums. It is no possible when you are in public places. The only you can do is when for example you teach into a classroom to use an option under "About Land" window --> Options --> Avatars on other parcels can see and chat with avatars on this parcel. Disable this option.
  6. Hello lionheart07 and welcome to SL Forums. Cinn gave you the right answer about what you have to do if you want to report these problems. However if your hud is no appeared you can walk through a different portal and you will see the hud again. Choose portal 3.
  7. Hello LiaLala and welcome to SL Forums. About crashing, check some general suggestions here. About L$, the best you can is to contact Billing Support. Other options could be: Toll-Free Support Number for UK, Germany, France, Japan, Spain, Brazil, and Portugal: +0080071237123 Customer support phone number (All Countries): +44 2033620268 Email: support@payments.secondlife.com
  8. Hello ConstantineJames and welcome to SL Forums. Please check out the following link from English Knowledge Base for possible solutions. Maybe you do something wrong with the settings or maybe your firewall is the reason: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Using-voice-chat/ta-p/700169
  9. Hello rory and welcome to SL Forums. Mesh queue indicates that arround you one or more mesh objects are rezzing. I don't know how you can hide it.
  10. Hello Electra. If you open MS Word and you save a document on your desktop, having the document open, you will see a second faint document which is the copy of the original document (saved in your hard disk) in your RAM and this copy is what you see. When you close the application the faint document dissapears. Something similar happens with all applications and files and also when you log in SL because you have changed your cache location under preferences --> advanced tab (as already Ansariel mentioned). The default location for your cache is: C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\SecondLife
  11. Hello 01 and welcome to SL Forums. You can find the list with all the Third-Party Exchanges at the following link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Archive/Third_Party_Linden_Dollar_Exchanges Read carefully the pink frame: NOTE: The third party exchanges in the list below work with Linden lab to keep Residents safe by using the Exchange Risk API. Linden Lab tries to ensure that only high-quality resellers are listed here, but does not endorse any of these resellers and accepts no responsibility for their actions. If you have trouble with any of these resellers, please email Linden Lab and we will address your complaint with the reseller and potentially remove them from this list. I have 2 friends who use virwox without problems so far. On the other side, it is suggested to make all your transactions through LindeX™ Exchange (if it is possible).
  12. Hello Aphrodite and welcome to SL Forums. It is a known problem. Some other residents posted the same or similar problem last days. As CommerceTeam Linden reports here, you can submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Report the problem there (error messages you get also), include a pic with your shopping cart showing inside your items and wait for a reply.
  13. Hello Shadleer and welcome to SL Forums. You do nothing wrong. Sounds like a connectivity issue for me. Reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins. If you use wireless, avoid it and prefer direct cable connection. The problem with profiles happens to me sometimes but it get fixed itself after a while. Try to open profiles at https://my.secondlife.com/ Your graphics card is old, so set your performance to lower under preferences --> graphics and see if that helps.
  14. Hello Ayako and welcome to SL Forums. The only you can do is to submit a ticket --> Account Issue --> Account Creation Issues. Report there what was happened and wait for a reply. Alternatively create a new account. You have no something to lose except of the name.
  15. Hello MsMoNeYhOnEy and welcome to SL Forums. At first open the second tab of your inventory called "Recent" and check out if you can find them there. Usually you see a box. If you reloged, look into the folder called "Objects" in your main inventory. If you are sure that you can't find them or you have never recieve them, you have 2 options. Analytically: Contact the merchant: Open your Dashboard (log in http:// secondlife.com )--> Shopping on the top --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases (there you see the name of the merchant)--> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery. Contact support: If you don't get a reply by the merchant, Submit a ticket https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain what was happened, include the order number and the name(s) of the item(s) that failed to be delivered and wait for a reply.
  16. Hello Coda and welcome to SL Forums. If i understand right, navigate to: (Vista) and (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife \ logs If you mean something else, please edit your post adding more details (Options on the right --> Edit).
  17. Hello Shambolic. You can't enable lightings and shadows with Nvidia GT 240 (i have it on my pc). However is a reliable graphics card with which you can run SL in High Graphics without problems. For shadows you need at least a Nvidia GT 500 series (525 is a good choice) although you will force it to overwork and overheighting is very possible. GTX series is the best option but they are expensive. About Amd 6670 you can read opinions at this thread.
  18. Hello niteown and welcome to SL Forums. At first remove the resident's name. It is against Community Guidelines. Wait a little more, it is weekend. Some residents aren't online every day. If finally you don't get a reply and if you ordered the outfit at marketplace you can submit a ticket --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain analytically what was happened, include the order number and the name of the item that failed to be delivered and wait for a reply.
  19. Hello Solitear and welcome to SL Forums. As Rolig mentioned, sounds like you are on a region where you have no right to run scripts. Also is possible the object you try to sit no to have a script for sitting. Other times you sit with right click and sit and other you have to left click, to get a menu and use pose balls.
  20. Hello WhytTiger and welcome to SL Forums. If you are a Premium and you haven't got your weekly stipend, it is easier to use LiveChat. You find the option on the right.
  21. Hello BrennaMorgan and welcome to SL Forums. Try to change it at mysecondlifecom Your profile there is https://my.secondlife.com/BrennaMorgan Use default ASCII characters.
  22. Hello Dori and welcome to SL Forums. Lag is possible to cause this especially when invite someone who is on a different region. Try to send the invitation being face to face with the other resident and from the group's window. Right click on the other avatar --> Invite to group. See if that makes any difference.

  24. Hello Jordan and welcome to SL Forums. You don't say something about which viewer you use, your system's specs and if the problem started suddently or since you use SL. You can edit your post (options on the right --> edit) to add more details. Some general suggestions about crashing: If you are new to V3 and your recently download it, i would suggest you to log in a quiet sim like Smith or Exeuxoa. If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. Stay there under the water open your inventory and the recent tab and wait fetching all your items till the last one. Sometimes it takes time but no so long as in Phoenix. Avoid during this process to do something else like teleporting for example. Be patient when you teleport to a region especially if you visit it for first time with the new viewer. Everything arround you are textures and even you can't see some of them like for example under the floor of a house, the server must cache it and download it to every client viewer, both in your sim and in adjacent sims. If you are not patient and you try to move immidiately, in fact you "force" your computer to download stuff faster, so crash happens. When you download every viewer, it has some default settings under menu me --> preferences. One of them the maximum bandwidth (default to 500). Although, according LL 500 kbps is enough to run SL without problems, you can increase it especially if you have fast internet connection. This way you increase the maximum rate that the Viewer can download contnet so everything arround will be loaded faster. However if you notice packet loss you have immidiately to set this option to lower. With few words experiment with this option till to find the best for your computer / laptop (under preferences --> setup). If you crash also during teleporting you have to follow the suggestions here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Troubleshooting_teleporting Make sure that you use the last version of Viewer 3 (current the version is 3.2.6) or of TPV where bugs theoretically got fixed and no the beta version, no the development viewer). Check out also your viewer's crash logs to see what causes the crash. More about how you check them out here: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Finding_Log_Files Another top cause for a crash is overheat. Try to set your graphics to lower under Preferences --> Graphics and generally to disable everything you don't need like voice for example. Check out also if your computer adequately cooled. If you dont know how to do that (checking that your fans for example are clean and work) ask a friend to help you. You can find also free programs which inform you about. One of them is CPUID Hardware Monitor. Make sure that you have the last updates for your graphics card. SL is a very demanding application. If you need a link about it let us know. Firewall also is often a cause for network issues with SL. You can read more about, here. Check out if there is a problem with your connectivity. Visit http://speedtest.net/ Avoid downloading and generally to run other applications when you are online in world. You need at least 1Mbps. If it is lower, check if your router is locked with WPA-PSK (password). If you haven't password someone else is possible to use your connection. Contact your ISP to help you with it and to see if there is a problem with your line. Finally if you use wireless, avoid it and prefer direct cable connection. If the problem remains clear your cache manually out of SL and having your viewer closed. Always it helps. If you don't know how to do that, let us know. If you are a Premium you can also submit a ticket asking for techniqual support or also mail to: support@secondlife.com You can use also the LiveChat reporting the problem there. If you still can't find a solution don't hesitate to create a jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa --> Create issue. Usually there you have official answers by the Lindens.
  25. Hello Antea. If your shopping cart is stuck with items and you can't remove them, please check my answer at your previous thread. If you ordered something and you didin't get it normally you have to wait up to 24 hours. If this times expires you have to contant the merchant sending a notecard in world asking politely for redelivery. If the problem is general, you have to contact support (check other thread).
