  1. Hello Chutnie and welcome to SL Forums. If you need something only for SL it is preferable to build a tower than to buy a laptop. However if you want a laptop this one looks good for me and you can run the application without problem in High Graphics. Ultra graphics is possible with an Nvidia GT540M, a fast middle class graphics card for laptops (is better than 520M) but this way you will overload your laptop and your fps will be decreased. Remember you need at least 15 fps in order for your avatar to run smoothly.

  5. Hello tuta. Open your dashboard (log in http://secondlife.com/ )--> Land Manager on the left --> My Mainland to see where is exactly your Linden Home. When you go there, landmark the place and set your home location (Menu World --> Set Home to here). After you can go there easily with ctrl+shift+U or clicking the icon with the house on the left of your address bar. However if you still can't find your Linden Home as a Premium Member you have the right to use the LiveChat (you find the option on the right) asking for support (from 9am to 6pm PST). However today LiveChat will be intermittently unavailable from 07:00 PM PST to 9PM PST for planned Maintenance.
  6. Hello Tourmaline. I am not British but sounds that you have to experiment with your maximum bandwidth under preferences --> setup in V3. If your internet connection is so fast increase it.

  11. Hello Avalyn. My prim eyelashes is something i never remove / detach. It is standard for all my outfits. I agree with Charolotte that there are many types. Mine are without alpha by Catwa. Alpha lashes don't look so good. Especially with blonde hair look terrible.

If you didin't get the gift the resident who offered you the gift has two options: He can contact the merchant asking politely for redelivery If he purchsed the gift from marketplace he can also submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> Failed Marketplace Delivery including the order number and the name of the item that failed to be delivered
  14. Hello Kojiamora. Try the following: Move to a region without lag, or better relog there. Protected lands like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere are recommended. Open the 2nd tab of your inventory (recent)and wait fetching all your items till the last one. When fetching finishes, try to change outfit choosing choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. Wait some seconds and rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Repeat same process if it is necessary. If the problem remains follow the suggestions one by one at the following link: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=fs_bake_​fail They work for all viewers and it is very possible to work for your also. However suggestions there won't work if: a) You have corrupted files saved in your hard disk. If so, you will fix the issue if you delete them and download new files. To do that, delete all contests at the following folder: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife After login back in a quiet sim and follow the same process as above. b) You have problem with your internet connection. If so, you will fix the problem if you fix your internet connection. You can test your internet speed at http://speedtest.net/ If it is too slow less than 1mbps, reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and try again. If you use wireless connection, simply avoid it (it is no recommended for SL) and prefer direct cable connection instead. You can experiment also with your maximum bandwidth until to find the best setting for your system (under preferences --> setup). Good luck.

    Hell MsDel and welcome to SL Forums. No problem for me so far. Marketplace works. Clear your browser's cache under Menu Tools --> Internet options and see if that makes any difference. If no, try a different browser. If the problem remains submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace issues. Report the problem there, include the error message(s) you get and wait for a reply.

These messages generally indicate you have been blocked from the Second Life servers by Linden Lab as the result of: •Documented cases of fraud •Use of Second Life by a minor •Exceptionally flagrant abuse activity Note that someone else in your household may be responsible for this activity, not necessariliy with your account. If you believe that this is an error, submit a support ticket via the support portal. To help customer support determine what block has been placed and why, include in the ticket your Second Life account name and any Second Life accounts that log in from your location". If LL banned you, you have recieved a mail explaining why. Check out your spam folder also. Your account may also have been put on hold by mistake. The only who can take your account off hold again is Linden Lab.
