  1. Hello PrincessDi45. At first be sure that you have followed all the suggestions here: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=camera If the problem remains, clear your cache manually out of SL (no under preferences). Try the following. 1)Uninstall all the viewers using the windows Control Panel. 2)Delete all contests at the following folders: (Vista) and (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife (except of the .xtx files into the folder with your name in order to keep your im logs and chat logs) C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer 3)Download a fresh copy of Phoenix and install it. Good luck.
  2. Hello krisy66 and welcome to SL Forums. In Viewer 3, give the command: Menu Me --> Movement --> Stop animating me. Normally it will fix your problem. If no, relog. If still the problem remains make an avatar test under Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q if you don't see it) --> Avatar --> Character tests --> Test male / female. This will remove everything from your avatar which can cause the problem. After you can change outfit again. Good luck.
  3. @257ct Glad to hear that you fixed the issue this way! Have fun! (I can't guarantee that this solution will work for all residents, but it is worth to give a try) Good luck to all.
  4. Hello Edward and welcome to SL Forums. You can also request a renew of your account to increase your limits. Submit a ticket --> Billing --> LindeX Billing and Trading Limits Review Request (for basic accounts) or Billing and L$ -> LindeX™ Tier Review ticket options (for premium accounts). Linden Lab will review your request and get back to you within 5 business days.
  5. Hello KrystalSweet and welcome to SL Forums. If trying another browser does no correct your issue, submit a ticket --> Account Issues --> Account Creation Issue. Describe the issue there, include a pic showing what you see and any error message you get and wait for a reply.
  6. Hello scottttt. All the answers at the following links: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Selling-in-the-Marketplace/ta-p/700193 http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-Marketplace-store/ta-p/700191 Good luck.
  7. I deleted my account there about 5 years ago and i would never create a new account again.
  8. Hello SpinWeaver. Just to add that you can find the version 3.2.1 here (another link): http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions Maybe is better idea to try 3.0.3 version. Good luck.
  9. Hello Akustaka and welcome to SL Forums. If the problem remains, the best you can do is to contact Billing Support. Other options: Toll-Free Support Number for UK, Germany, France, Japan, Spain, Brazil, and Portugal: +0080071237123 Customer support phone number (All Countries): +44 2033620268 (no toll free) Email: support@payments.secondlife.com (if none of these numbers are in your country)
  10. Hello Clarissa and welcome to SL Forums. Some other residents reported problems with their shopping cart last days. Generally avoid to overload your shopping cart. It is one of the top causes for delivery failures. Clear your browser's cache, relog in your dashboard or try a different browser. If the problem remains, as CommerceTeam Linden reports here, is good to submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Report the problem there, include a pic with your shopping cart which shows your items into it and wait for a reply.
  11. Hello Rucki and welcome to SL and SL Forums. You are at the right place. Just a look here in the forums is enough to see how many other residents are looking for new friends every day. About common interests follow Hippie's suggestion. How to do that? Use the following link: https://my.secondlife.com/interests/ and add the word key at the end. For example: https://my.secondlife.com/interests/music or https://my.secondlife.com/interests/shopping I wish you to make many friends here. Have fun!
  12. Hello Ekela. There are 2 top causes for your problem: You have corrupted files saved in your hard disk. If so, you will fix the issue if you delete them and download new files. To do that, delete all contests at the following folder: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife (or under preferences --> advanced tab. After login back in a quiet sim like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere. Stay there under the water, open the second tab of your inventory (recent) and wait fetching all your items till the last one. When fetching finishes, try to change outfit choosing choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. Wait some seconds and rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Repeat same process if it is necessary. It will fix your issue. You have problem with your internet connection. If so, you will fix the problem if you fix your internet connection. You can test your internet speed at http://speedtest.net/ If it is too slow, reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and try again. If you don't see there the speed you pay for, contact your ISP to check if there is a problem with your line. If you use wireless connection, simply avoid it (it is no recommended for SL) and prefer direct cable connection instead. Confirm that your router is protected with password. Finally you can experiment also with your maximum bandwidth until to find the best setting for your system (under preferences --> setup). Suggestions reported in http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/doku.php?id=bake_fail always help for all viewers and of course you have to start with them, assuming that you have no corrupted files and there is no a connectivity problem. Good luck.
  13. Hello Judysl and welcome to SL Forums. Navigate to the following folder: (Vista) and (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife Files from SL are saved also under: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife ( C:\ = your hard disk, you find it if you open "My computer". Where you see ( \ ) in the paths, follows another folder into the previous one. If the folder Appdata is a hidden, show the hidden folders (Windows Tools \ Folder Options \ View & enable Show Hidden Files/Folders).
  14. Hello kenny and welcome to SL Forums. We known nothing about your system's specs and your internet connection. Some more details would be helpful for a better and more specific answer. You can edit your post (Options on the right --> Edit), providing further informations. My feeling is that you experiment lag. Easily you can check it out if you open the statistics bar with Ctrl+Shift+1. A first suggestion is to set your performance to lower under preferences --> graphics. See if that makes any difference. About your question, which is the best viewer for windows 7, there is no a specific answer. For example for me is Viewer 3. For others is Phoenix or Firefox. If for you the problem is general with all viewers, maybe your system can't handle better performance.
  15. Hello FionaGherig and welcome to SL Forums. As others said you have nothing to worry about. It is not a public place, it is your house. If you want more privacy you can use 2 options under Menu World --> About Land window. Go to "Options" tab and disable "Avatars on other parcels can see and chat with avatars on this parcel. This way noone else can see your and your partner avatar even he is in the Linden Home beside yours, some metres away. Go to "Access" tab and disable "Allow public access". After add in the "Allowed Residents" list below, only the residents who you desire to visit your place. Have fun!
  16. Hello Delmeagan and welcome to SL Forums. Really i don't know how many times we have already answered for this problem. It is good to check the previous questions before to post a new one. It is a known bug. Please see https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SH-2946 Although it is necessary to download the last drivers for your graphics card, here is a solution which seems that works for some residents and it is worth to give a try. In Viewer 3 open Advanced Menu (Ctrl+Alt+D if you don't see it) --> Show Debug Settings --> click the down arrow and find "RenderMaxTextureIndex". Normally there you see the value 16. Set it to 0 (zero) and close the window. See if that makes any difference.
  17. Hello Rozmere and welcome to SL Forums. Nyll is right. As CommerceTeam Linden reports here, is good to submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Report the problem there, include a pic with your shopping cart showing your items inside and wait for a reply.
  18. Hello Hilda and welcome to SL Forums. Just contact the merchant with im in world or better with a notecard. If the product is copy is very possible to get a refund by the merchant.
  19. Hello SieadLR. It happened to me 1-2 times in past but the issue was resolved itself after a while. Relog and see if that makes any difference. If no, wait a little more and if the problem remains, clear your cache under preferences. I clear that my first suggestion is to wait no to clear your cache. Good luck.
  20. Hello Jbridge and welcome to SL Forums. Do you get an error message when you try to install the application? What happens exactly? You can edit your post (Options on the right --> Edit) adding more details.
  21. Hello Silver and welcome SL Forums. If they are many items, really they are too many and i don't see other way to fix the problem, except of clearing manually your cache. 1) Delete all contests at the following folders (for Windows Vista of 7. If your OS is different please post back here editing for your post (Options --> Edit) let us know about: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife Notes: Usually the folder Appdata is a hidden folder. (Windows Tools \ Folder Options \ View & enable Show Hidden Files/Folders) If you want to keep your private conversations which are saved in your computer, copy the folder with your nickname to another position in your hard disk. The folder is: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife \ silver_sablatnig If you have more than 1 viewers installed you must to do the same with all, following the same paths in your hard disk. For example: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer 2)Restart your computer and try to log in a protected land without lag like Smith or Lime or Pooley. If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. 3)Stay there under the water (in Smith), open your inventory, type something (2-3 characters) in search there and wait fetching ALL your items till the last one. During this process (downloading), avoid to do something else like teleporting, chatting, moving etc. It means you download again, you get back your inventory. See if that helps. (About Windows paths: C:\ = Your hard disk, you find it if you open "My computer". Where you see backslash, follows a folder into the previous one) Check out also the following link from SL Wiki: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Inventory_loss Good luck.
  22. Hello prettyparkin. One more link here: http://howto.slserver.com/?cat=4 Have fun!
  23. Hello Wazzas. Maybe the answer and generally what exactly exists for the new SL Search about events at the following link" http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Search-FAQ/ta-p/846121#Section_.1.21

  25. Hello Hazelena and welcome to SL Forums. The number of items (furniture) you have in your house is possible easily to misguide you. For example your neighbor have rezzed 50 items with 2 prims each (totally 100 prims) and you only 3 items with 33 prims each (so same prims). Before you purchase something, check out the prims at first and choose furniture with low prims. If you use the prims wisely you won't need more than 90 to full furnish your Linden Home. You can check anytime how many prims is each of your items with right click on it and Edit. You see there: 1 objects selected, land impact for example 22. Means that it is 22 prims. Below you see: Remaining capacity for example 35. It is how many prims you have more available. One last thing. The pose balls when they are visible count also for the total amount of prims you have. So when you don't use them, is good to hide them clicking the item and "Stop". Have fun and enjoy your home and your premium membership.
