  2. Hello LibGlozz. Usually the message "Unable to connect to simulator" is relative with invalid characters in your group tag. You said that you used SL just once but do you remember if you joined in groups? If yes, do you remember which group tag you wear? If we assume that invalid characters in your group tag is the problem i fear that only LL can helps if we think that you are a new member, so you haven't an alt with which you could log in and kick out of the group your main account or change the group title. At first try to log in a differerent region like protected lands (Smith, Lime or Aqua). If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. See if that helps. If yes, remove immidiately your group tag and maybe leave the group. Another reason you have this message is the rolling restarts for server channels. In this occasion the problem is temporal and you need to check the following page for updates: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ So my suggestion (especially if you aren't sure what happens with your group titles) is to try to log in a different region and if you can't to wait a little more hoping the problem to be fixed. If you see that you can resolve the problem and reading again your post that you would like to join as a premium member, i suggest you to upgrate your membership and after to contact immidiately with LL using the Live Chat: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ This is the page, now as basic member you can't see the Live Chat but when you upgrate to Premium, you will see the option at the right.   7. Hello Protogenes. You are not the only user with Mac who has problems with the last updates of viewer 2. For me at first try to log in a protected land without lag like Smith or Lime or Aqua. If it doesn't work for you you can download a previous edition of Viewer 2: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Supported_Viewers You can find older editions and generally more options at the following link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes The older Second Life Viewer versions are still active on the production grid, but are not formally supported by Linden Lab Customer Support. Of course emptying the viewer cache always helps, as Luc suggested.
  8. Exactly Knowl. When the administrator creates new accounts, he has 2 options: a)To create a new account again as administrator with all rights b)To create an account (called Typical User in my language, i don't know exactly the translation in English) which hasn't all the rights. Anderson uses a limited account without rights of administrator. Thats why he can't download and install programs.
  9. Hello xalo. Normally you must to wait 24 hours and after you can start to worry. If eventually you don't get your purchase and you are sure that you haven't it in your inventory, open your Dashboard --> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases (you see there the name of the merchant) --> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery.
  10. Hello Anderson. The message is clear from Windows. You haven't the right to install programs. Do you share this computer and laptop with another person? Maybe someone of your family? You need to log in with the main account of this computer to install the program. That's what i understand, reading your post. EDIT: Can you install other programs? You can edit your post (Options --> Edit)

  13. Hello shaun. No something standard she needs to play with the colour and to have patience. The creator made the shoes with a specific skin and and matched the sculpted feet with it. I have many n-cores shoes, never i achieved the perfect colour. On the other side it doesn't mean that the result is bad. Noone knows which skin your lovely wife wears. If she wants to change stockings everytime she wears the shoes, she must copy the shoes (all shoes of n-core are copiable) and to match each one with her favorite stockings.   14. Hello Kandy. I don't think that you can find something similar. In past, except of EO one another club in SL had it, which now done. EDIT: How this board works: There is a bot, it runs in a computer. You need to buy the software which makes to bot to run and changes the roles with other words the automation for the bot is what you buy because it has to recieve the various commands. Check out this link: http://felis-net.com/ubot.php This is what people use. I don't know if it is good or no. That sort of thing is what you need. Then you make a board that sends the messages to the bot and the bot invites and changes roles
  15. Hello Rybbon. The best solution is to give her a landmark inside the house. No reason to unlock the door. If you want to give your girlfriend the right for rezzing, is possible just you need to set the land in your group. I explain: Owner: You (You can't change it) Group: Your group (general tab of the options of the land) In tab options, set Build :group You can't deed the land to your group. That means with simple words that your girlfriend has no access in the options of the land (for example to change the stream). She will be able only to rezz things (unpack and decorate).
  16. Hello Tarina. Sure it is possible, i know these houses and they have big height. On the other hand you need to know basic things about building. Theoretically you need just 2 prims for that. 1 for the platform and 1 for the ramp. Have in your mind also that it is possible if you wish to change your Linden Home and to get another one with 2 floors, like for example in Meadowbrook Infohub

  19. Hello Flor. We need more details about your problem if it is a problem. Every avatar walks same way with others except of you wear an AO. Most AO's have several animations for walking and you can change them by the hud. If you see your avatar to run or to slide on the ground or unable to stop or still walking without to move, that means lag. Teleport in another region with less lag, like protected lands arround and check out if you have the same problem. You can edit your post if you wish (Options --> Edit)
