  2. Hello lanarra. I guess you wear one of your default skins and you can't remove your underwear with them. You need to change skin. You can find in your inventory 1-2 skins for nudity. Before do that, be sure that you are in a region where nudity is allowed. Alternatively ask your friends in world to give you another free skin, or buy a new one at Marketplace You can find there free skins also. Have fun.
  3. Hello preema. In Viewer 2 give the command: Menu Advanced (Ctrl+Alt+D if you don't see it) --> Show Debug Settings --> hit the down arrow and select "RenderUnloadedAvatar" --> Set it to True --> click the X.
  4. Hello melcrazy. Having the edit window open (build mode) select the prims you want to join holding SHIFT clicking one each one. When are all highlighted, click CTRL+L to link them. Your prims linked in one object. To unlink, use CTRL+SHIFT+L.
  5. Hello. A cache file, is a file which automatically saved in your hard disk when you are active in world. It could be a private corversation you had, images, textures everything. To understand better is something like the Temporary Internet Files of your browzer. Every time you visit a web page, this page includes text, images, animated images, maybe videos etc. All these files saved in your computer. Why? Because next time you visit the same page, all these files loaded from your computer (hard disk) and NOT from the web and that means the pages showed very quickly. Exaxctly the same are cache files for Second Life. I guess you have noticed that when you visit for first time a region (sim), you need long time to see everything arround. When you visit again the same region, you need shorter time for the reason i explain. You have already the textures (everything you see arround in world are textures) in your hard disk. You can find these cache files in your computer in 2 folders. If you have Windows Vista or 7: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife EDIT: It is suggested to delete these files often. Some users delete them every month, some others more often.
  6. This is a very good new Oz. Often in SL Q&A, we have residents with Macs, who complain for that issue.
  7. Hello Nicolae. It is a known problem with the last editions of Viewer 2, especially with users with Mac's. Look this jira: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-25627 A solution for this problem described at the following link and seems that it works for most users: http://neilrobinson.wordpress.com/2008/05/19/a-fix-for-dns-errors/ You need to add the following additional DNS servers to your DNS settings in Network settings under System Preferences: 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 If it doesn't work for you, download an older edition of Viewer 2: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes The older Second Life Viewer versions are still active on the production grid, but are not formally supported by Linden Lab Customer Support.
  8. Hello again. I gave you the link with all the Third-Party Viewers. There Phoenix is first in queue. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory
  9. Hello juampys1. I am not sure what exactly you ask. If English isn't your first language, edit your post (Options --> Edit) and re-write it in your language. The privacy settings is only for your SL profile, https://my.secondlife.com/juampys1 which is totally empty as i see. You can set who you want to see it: a)Only your SL friends b)All the SL residents log in world or in the SL webside c)Everyone in the whole internet. The blog you posted is no relative. It is one of the thousands blogs in internet.
  10. Hello. If you need older version of viewer 2, you can download it Here If you need a Third-Party Viewer, you can download it Here
  11. Hello piecheese. Depends of the policy of the brand and how long ago you purchased your item. Some brands allow to someone to return a product after some days if the client aren't satisfied with it. In this occasion the products are always transferable. If your item isn't transferable i think you can't return it. The best you can do is to contact with the merchant. If you don't know his/her name you can find it in your Order History.
  12. Hugs back Vallerie. Have a great time and after be back here. We will miss you.... :smileyhappy:
  13. Bonjour spacedrive.
  14. Hello karmoo. Normally you must to wait 24 hours. If this time expires and you are sure that you haven't get your purchases or you haven't them in your inventory, if you bought them from Markeplace, open your Dashboard --> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant(s) got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases (you see there the name of the merchants) --> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery. If you bought them in world, go back to the store and try to contact the owner or a manager there. If you can't find someone, open your Dashboard --> Account --> Transaction History --> copy your last transactions and repeat the same process as i described.
  15. You are welcome Penelope. Did you watch the video Marigold posted for you? With few words in Viewer 2 the command is Menu Me --> Prerefences --> Graphics Tab. As Torley explains in the video the higher quality, performance and draw distance, the more information your computer will receive from the servers hosting the regions around you, so the longer the time your computer will need in order to upload everything you see around. @Marigold: Nice Video. Greetings...
  16. Hello Dobi. I guess you used the Password Recovery Page? and followed the instructions? If yes, try again please. If still have problems, go to https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and do not login on any account. Submit the ticket for SL Account Login issues using your valid email address.
  17. Hello Jane. For me also you need to clear your cache manually: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife Log out and delete everything in those folders and restart first your computer and after the program. Usually the folder Appdata is a hidden folder. (Windows Tools \ Folder Options \ View & enable Show Hidden Files/Folders) Have in your mind that if you clear your cache manually you will lost all your private conversations which are saved in your computer. To avoid it copy the folder with your username in the folder Secondlife in another position in your hard disk. If you have more that 1 viewers installed in your computer, you must to do it for all following the same paths in your hard disk. For example C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer Good luck.
  18. Hello DjAnntony. I guess you loged in Basic Mode with Viewer 2. Relog in Advanced Mode. You will find the option down in your log in screen. Basic mode is a simplified interface to Second Life that's easier and more enjoyable for new users. Though it includes only a basic set of features, Basic mode is just a simpler "skin" for the Second Life Viewer. Advanced mode offers the full set of features. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Basic-mode-FAQ/ta-p/733541
  19. Hello Artomis. Is it a weapon?
  20. That's unbelievalbe! Thanks for sharing Dillon.
  21. Hello Greene. Usually clearing cache corrects this issue: In Viewer 2 clear your cache and relog. Menu Me --> Preferences --> Setup --> Reset --> OK --> Relog If problem remains, try to clear your cache manually: (XP) - C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME) - Application Data \ SecondLife and C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME)\ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Second Life (Vista) and (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife Log out and delete everything in those folders and restart first your computer and after the program. If you use Phoenix, the path is: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer
  22. Hello Valto. I suggest Maitreya's. 3 colour packs from 50L$, fat packs (all colours) from 175L$. For free or almost free hair you can search at Marketplace. Last days i 've seen there great offers. Just sort the results by Price: Low to High Have fun.
  23. Hello Greene. The Develop menu is not for general use. It provides access to unsupported features that may change at any time. My feeling is that you can't find official descriptions by LL. Maybe only if you google them.
