4 GIG of RAM is plenty. One thing you may want to check is your Virtual Memory. If you have it turned off, it can have a huge impact on how your system handles large loads of data being sent to your computer. You can have 8,12, or even 20 GIG of RAM and still be slow if your Virtual Memory is turned off. In my system (XP Pro) I have the choice to turn it off, let the computer decide how much it needs, or I can set a maximum amount to be used. I let the computer decide.

If all else fails, download the new beta SL viewer. When you open up SL with it you have a choice of a new AVI. As soon as you do it will completely rez. Your inventory will also completely show up all of a sudden if you were missing anything. You can then go in and change yourself back to how you were. I tried that other trick with the female avi with my phoenix and it didn't work for me. The problem is in the inventory servers. LL borked it big time Thursday night or early Friday morning.

This probably to fix all the crap they screwed up when they did it the Inventory Server Maintenance the other day. They sure screwed mine up. However, I found a slick way around it and get everything back.

I have had those problems for the last 2 days plus my complete avatar would not load up. It couldn't find my body parts or inventory either. Could not even go into "edit appearance". Solution? I downloaded the new BETA version of LL viewer and selected a new avatar. Voila, all of a sudden it rezzed completely. Then opened up my phoenix viewer and put all my old avatar, skin, huds, and clothes back on. Problem solved. Seems to be something your wearing is corrupt while your wearing it. Getting the new avatar from the new viewer seems to "reset" everything.

Perhaps you should look at getting with the developer of Mysti Tool HUD. One of the things in the Mysti Tool is a no push setting for each individual avatar which can be turned on/off. Perhaps she can help you.

Why couldn't they have put the website in the article? Thats what I mean about Linden Labs. They presume that everybody knows everything about everything. All it would take is to say is "and to access it go to ***". Like I said, typical Linden Labs.

First thing I would do is contact everyone of those customers to see if they got the product and money was withdrawn from their account. Of course, emphasize that in no way do you want them to pay for any product that they recieved even if money was not subtracted from their account. Emphasize there may be an issue between yourself and Linden Labs and that you need the information for research purposed only and to verify if there is a problem. If they did pay for the product, ask them nicely if they would take a screen shot of the transaction and send it to you. The evidence of a problem (if there is a problem) you have to present to Linden Labs that they have a problem with their system, the faster the problem can be fixed. Of course, if there is a problem, I would be demanding that Linden Lab pay you Linden $ they did not pass on plus interest. If they won't, take them to RL court. If its a problem with they system, it could turn into a class action suit.

Where do you go to access "Inbox Messaging"?

Does anybody know where to find more information about "Inbox Messaging"? It talks all about it in the November update and how its over the web (apparantly a specific web site), but doesn't say what website. Typical information from LL. Introduce something new and then not tell anybody how to access it. Like pulling teeth getting information from those idiots.

At one time, LL was going to allow selling on the marketplace without requiring land ownership (store) in-world. Is that still true? They were going to have a minimal charge for your majic box to be sitting somewhere. I can't find any information out about that. I had a store at one time, but had to leave SL for a year and a half for personal reasons (health). Now that I am back would like to get into the Marketplace at least with my products. Thanks, Namss

Looking in Wiki about using SketchUp for making meshes, it only mentions Sketchup 7. Does Sketchup 8 (the newest version) work as well?

okay... I have tried finding out about how to build and import meshes.... I can't find a thing about it in "Wiki" ... I have Sketchup already... where can I find all the "how to's" for importing into SL?

Congratulations Kim! I do have one question though. Is SL going to abandon all marketing to RL corporations to set up marketing and training sims?
