The problem is: they don't stay/don't spend much time in world. According to LL's own statistics, even with the number of new registrations going up, the sum of time spent in world by all is going down at least since Q2 2010 already (that's the last quarter listed in the current Q3 2011 statistics). So it seems that all the concentration on "Nice and Shiny" doesn't really work, doesn't really makes the new ones "survive" the 1st hour/1st week/1st month.

Naja, zu sagen ""uch einfach in Google!" ist ein sehr zweischneidiger Rat. Vieles was man frei findet, darf man noch lange nicht frei verwenden. Auch bei regelrechten Texturensammlungen gibt es oft AGB bzw. andere Einschränkungen (z.B. "Nicht für kommerziellen Einsatz."). Im Marketplace haben viele Anbieter von Sculpties/Meshes/Texturen Bedingungen für die Weiterverwendung, wie z.B. keine Weitergabe des Originalproduktes (bzw. leicht veränderten Produktes, wie einzelne Sculpties auf die man nur noch eine Textur draufgepackt hat) als full perms - dies ist sowohl verständlich als auch gültig! Anders sieht es in meinen Augen aus, wenn man vor dem Kauf keine solchen Einschränkungen erfährt sondern diese sich erst auf einer Notecard befinden, die einem beim Auspacken des bereits gekauften Produkts anspringt. Dann würde ich allerdings noch einen Screenshot vom Marketplace-Listing machen.

Gut, dann ist es finanziell günstiger, auch bei einer Full-Prim-SIM bei diesem Schema zu bleiben. Die Punkte zum Thema Sicherheit bleiben allerdings erhalten - das ist etwas, was man nur für sich selbst entscheiden kann wenn man weiß, ob und wie sehr man dem tatsächlichen Eigentümer vertrauen kann. Ich kenne einige solche Konstrukte, die schon lange sehr gut funktionieren. Alle Owner-Rechte könnt ihr allerdings nicht haben, die hat nur derjenige, der das Geld an LL schiebt. Ihr habt sicherlich Estate-Manager-Rechte, die vieles abdecken, aber halt nicht alles. Wobei die fehlenden Dinge eher selten gebraucht werden (andere EMs ernennen, Terrain-Files hochladen oder speichern, Namensänderung für die SIM, Verkauf der SIM mit vollem Eigentümertransfer usw. usf.).

Ihr seid also in den Augen von LL nur Mieter und keine Vertragspartner. Der tatsächliche Eigentümer kann - wie oben schon erwähnt - die SIM gegen Zahlung des Differenzbetrages in eine Full-Prim-SIM umwandeln lassen, ohne dass dabei gerezzte Inhalte verlorengehen. Nun gehe ich aber mal davon aus, dass der tatsächliche Eigentümer euch die heutige Homestead nicht zum Selbstkostenpreis überlässt? Wenn ihr nun auf eine "echte" SIM umsteigen möchtet, wieviel würde er dann dafür an Miete verlangen? Konkret: wieviel mehr als was LL selbst verlangt? Vielleicht wäre es da mittelfristig günstiger, selber Eigentümer zu werden und zukünftig direkt an LL zu zahlen. Dabei aber auch durchrechnen, wie es mit der VAT/Mehrwertsteuer aussieht, da *kann* es für VAT-pflichtige Europäper tatsächlich noch günstiger sein, bei einem VAT-freien Amerikaner zu mieten. Allerdings ist man als Mieter halt immer auf Gedeih und Verderb dem tatsächlichen Eigentümer ausgeliefert. Sollte der pleitegehen oder auch auf die Idee kommen, sich von SL zu verabschieden und noch soviel Geld wie möglich dabei rauszuschlagen, steht man dumm da. LL gibt dann nichts auf "Aber *wir* haben den Kaufpreis bezahlt, XYZ war nur Mittelsmann!" - SIM und Geld sind weg.

Just make sure to not promote it as "Olympics" - that's a heavily defended registrated trade mark.

It affects other people, too. It is going on for weeks now. The regions are *not* on different server versions. I think it is a worthy ghost to hunt :-)

Point 2-4 are related to a big megaprim object used on that region for the sim surroundings. Today I ran into the teleport problems myself, too. Region owner will do a ticket.

Wobei die alten Emerald-Doppelpunkte nur per Trick funktionierten - und auch nur bei anderen Emerald-Usern korrekt angezeigt wurden. Du möchtest übrigens nicht mehr Attachmentpunkte sondern die Möglichkeit, insgesamt mehr als 38 Objekte gleichzeitig zu tragen. Und mal ganz ehrlich: du kannst 30 verschiedene Dinge am Körper tragen (plus HUDs), notfalls alle an ein und demselben Punkt, wenn das nicht reicht, würde ich mal mit den Herstellern sprechen, dass die ihren Kram etwas ökonomischer erstellen. Ich bin noch nie auch nur annähernd an die 30 rangekommen - und als Neko ist schon meine "Grundausstattung" etwas umfangreicher als beim normalen Menschenwesen.

Sorry, Brenna, you are right about one thing: people asked for the ability to change their SL name. But LL *does not* deliver this with Display Names! You are *not* able to change your SL name - you only are able to add another layer to it, something like a polished-up titler. To know that they are really interacting with *you*, people still have to know your old, not-loved-anymore username. People asked for a nice glass of french cognac - and LL delivered headache-producing moonshine. Some people really lowered their expectations from LL when they now hail this as "what we always asked for".
