Too bad I probably can't mention her name... ah, but you CAN name and shame on certain third party sites... it might be considered a service to warn people about it. and you never know, the named may just show up there to 'defend' themselves... could be hilarious!
  2. there's not much help anyone here can give you, it sounds like you need the help of linden lab.
  3. If the creators of Lola's would release the kit to create the appliers without having to purchase the bewbs themselves there would probably be lots more clothing designed for them...

  5. Storm, shoes are sort of a personal thing. As a shoe addict, at least they are for me. I think it's pretty hard to pick shoes for other people, perhaps not as hard to do as say pick a skin for someone else but still a task. Ask your friend who their favorite shoe designer is, and give your friend a generous gift card to that shop. It doesn't really matter what's new and hot if your friend isn't into whatever style is 'new and hot.' And giving a gift of shoes is quite a nice thing to do, you're a good friend!
  6. Lots of things can affect your ability to TP easily, internet connection is top on the list. Along with scripts. Check how many scripts you're wearing, often those are the culprits when you're having tp issues.

  8. so you were able to find your land and reclaim your things... what exactly did your landlord do that was so bad? when they return your stuff to you with one mouse click, it will end up in your lost and found folder in one big clump....
  9. iceing Braveheart wrote: you have not read a single post from this thread or any other thread linden lab's has put a script into the second life viewer which blocks anyone from using modern pc or laptop there is nothing to program linden lab's did it deliberately on purpose why invest money into a game/app second life if Linden Lab's doesn't want you to using or anyone one else in the first place? a question though why are you insulting and trolling when you know nothing? Iceing - your computer must be faulty, it seems to be missing . . . . . . and , , , , , !
  10. is that DeLa hair? if not, check there.

  12. i find it really hard to believe that if this was really possible, it couldn't be kept a secret, not for long anyway. Not in SL. branigon, do you have RLV enabled?
  13. many good suggestions above for you iceing. one more question: what kind of internet access do you use?

  16. SweetLadyMell wrote: Thank you all ^^ How reassuring...it's a great little home, and it would be most unpleasant to see someone else in there uninvited... Mell xxx There is no guarantee that someone won't show up uninvited. Unless your home is only accessible to the group it's deeded to, or just to specific people there's always the possiblity that someone will have a landmark to your home from BEFORE it was your home.
  17. Ok, maybe 'small' was the wrong word. I think your photos should showcase the fashions more than the avatar - your photos are large when clicked, but mostly empty. You could get better usage of the space by using more close-up photos that show detail, or maybe several poses, front/back, within the photo. If you want to catch my attention so I will actually click on the photo you have to show me a little more than what I'm seeing so far. You say you are promoting photography along with fashion blogging, so better photos are in your own best interest. You asked for opinions, that's mine. And the music is very annoying.
  18. Like the previoius poster said, custom hair can be pretty pricey but speaking as a hair addict, I think hair shopping can be quite fun. Try Truth, DeLa, Wasabi Pills, Ploom, Exile, Emo-tions, Lelutka (sp?), Zero Style, Magika, Fri.day, and there are tons more. You'll probably find just what you're looking for!
  19. Just a word of warning, be careful with gifts from unknown sources, especially gifts that contain parts you must "attach" to your avatar - nefarious folks sometimes hide evil scripts inside those. Not accusing anyone of anything, it's just good advice. Don't want to see you posting something about "I tried on a new necklace and all of a sudden my avatar is distorted and I can't fix it!! HELP!" or something like that!
  20. Demo shapes usually can not be edited, they usually present with huge hands and feet to discourage people from using them without purchasing the real thing. Some allow you to edit the 'real thing,' after you buy it, some don't. I'd personally never buy a shape I couldn't mod, and if you end up purchasing a shape be careful to note if it can be modified. You can create your own unique shape using one of the base shapes in your Library that comes with your account. Use the sliders to adjust it, then use "save as" and name it something you'll remember. When I edit my shape I usually name the new shape with the date and the name of the skin I adjusted it for. Purchased skins are normally non-mod, meaning none of the sliders will have any effect on the skin features. Some skins may allow you to adjust the lip color slightly via the sliders, but most are non-mod. Skins vary a lot from creator to creator, so a shape that works well with one skin may not look as good with a different skin. Personally I find I almost always have to adjust the lips slightly to work with whatever skin I choose. Skins worth buying always have a demo to try out before you purchase and provide samples of the skin in different shades and makeup options. They also usually come with a demo shape included in the box that goes with the skin. 'When I'm looking for a new skin I usually shop in-world, and gather many demos, go back home and try 'em all out. One skin may look great with my shape, another may look just horrid, but with the many many choices of skins in all sorts of styles, it can be fun. I'd do a search in the Avatar or Fasion forum for "best skin stores" or something similar as there have been many, many threads that have the names of some of the more popular skin stores in SL. There are also some blogs and in-world groups devoted to skins, those can be very helpful as well. I'll start you out with these skin stores: LAQ, Pink Fuel, AlVulo, Pulse (Avatar Art), Glam Affair, Redgrave, Unique, Filthy, Curio, and there are tons more - and these are just the mostly 'human' type skins... there's a whole bunch of designers who create fantasy skins as well. Try a bunch and have fun! Eventually you'll find your unique look - or another option is to create your own skin as many people have.. but that's another thread all on it's own, lol, for another time!
  21. It almost sounds like you are trying to spam someone and not have it bounce back on you. If you were able to manage to contact people anonymously, how would you know what their response is since they couldn't respond to you anyway?
  22. taking off a tattoo layer usually works for me.
