  1. Portugal is 8 hours ahead of Second Life time, which uses Pacific - so 9 am in SL is 5pm your time. Here is a world clock for you: http://www.happyzebra.com/timezones-worldclock
  2. or swap the gin for some bourbon and the dry vermouth for some sweet vermouth, combine with ice, dash of bitters and a couple cherries and stir well. pour into rocks glass and savor.
  3. Start simple. Google is your friend. Try googling "making clothes in second life" and you will get hundreds of choices of tutorials and information. Go into the Textures and Building forum here and read the stickies. Take some of the clothes designing classes in-world offered by New Citizen's Inc. or Caledon. Those are all great places to start. You will need an outside graphics program like Gimp (free) or Photoshop (not free) to start with, and learning either one will get you on your way, there are tutorials for both online.

But there's still so much to see in SL, you couldn't possibly see it all anyway, especially with as fast as things change! I don't mind people wandering around my house, just don't wander around my house and not speak to me! That's just rude~ lol, really tho.
  5. Somewhere in preferences you are given the option to 'mute on minimize' for the SL viewer window - maybe you checked that option or on V4 it's set as the default.
  6. Perrie Juran wrote: Can you explain what you are referring too? Honest, I don't think I get more than one E Mail every other month from SL. Probably less than that. Same here. I've gotten like two over the last year.
  7. Being involved in an IP issue at this very moment, I can tell you that for an ISP to release your RL info, yes, a court order is required.

It's no one's business how much anyone pays for their land or how much they decide to sell it for. The market decides.
  9. Hi Ceka! I love your posts, you really lighten up the mood around here. Plus you're really funny! Thanks! :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:
  10. My pixel eyes say something to you? Well, perhaps you need to show us your eyes because your words are saying vague doom and gloom nonsense. Who is Lucinda? Confusing troll is confusing. I'm starting to miss Wasted Engineer...
  11. am I the only one scratching my head here? Y2K? Didn't that happen over a decade ago?
  12. You are aware that lots of people at SLU have had accounts here since before you were a pixel on a computer monitor, right? And that many of them are long-time and much respected content creators, developers, business owners and instructors in SL, right? And that much of what you see in SL today stems directly from their contributions, you are aware of that, right? And for anyone to say someone defended any type of child abuse on SLU is ridiculous, truly ridiculous. You went over there to start a flame war and it worked and they handed you your butt and now you're upset. Understandable.
  13. Boudicca Littlebird wrote: lol, the affects of peak oil take a while to feed the pipe, i don't mean to be rude, but that is all i will say, sorry, you will have to learn a lot more, sorry. Well, here's your opportunity to explain and help me learn. Your question was how would war affect SL... my answer is there have been wars going on throught SL's existence and it's still here.
  14. Actually numbers in SL in 2006 and 2007 doubled and tripled as far as users went. The economic downfall the US suffered in 2008 affected many things, particularly disposable income - and that economic downfall was war-related to a degree, but there were many many other factors involved. Point is - you asked how war would affect SL - and the US has been at war for ten years or so already so ask Americans how the Iraq war affected SL and there's your answer. If you are talking about SL users in the Middle East and how they could be affected, I'm guessing most of the middle eastern countries don't allow SL to begin with - feel free to correct me.
  15. Seems to me the United States has been at war for about the last ten years or so... how that has affected SL, if at all, I couldn't say.
  16. I think the modeling industry in SL has seen better days, I personally would look for a broader market than just models... A lot of people are screaming for mesh clothes that are built for small-busted avatars as it seems most mesh is made for those larger up-top -- so maybe that would be a good market to target and encompass the models as well.
  17. I haven't used the official viewer in quite a while but I seem to remember a setting where choosing an object would make it become transparent, somewhere in the Build or Advanced settngs IIRC.
  18. Suki Hirano wrote: Unless your computer doesn't support seeing mesh (only computers I can think of are pre-2008 laptops or pre-this-century desktops), or you're one of those avatars with cow-sized butts and breasts, there are no advantages non-mesh has over mesh. Nice. So only those with cow-sized butts and breasts have any business NOT wearing mesh? How about- I don't want to look like everyone else? How about I haven't seen mesh fashions I like all that much yet? How about I'm waiting to see some diversity in the styles? How about any number of other reasons I may have to not purchase mesh items? Are my opinions just not valid since they differ from yours? You don't speak for everyone, Suki.

You can make an report file once a year if you have the free membership. This law states in if those organizations, sites, residents just share your items, theydo not trample any right if they do not make money under your brand and e.t.c. They just share the products, photos and everything else as you share it in public. BUT, if they make money under your brand, products, name and you can prove it, you can promote all evidence to the court and you will got all the right in your side. Its very difficult because you need lawers and its will cost you a lot and you will spend many days, months, years it is no coincidence that copybot websites you will find up to 200 brands and stores that are full copyrighted and they have been violating and they havent do nothing You really need to stop posting this complete and utter nonsense.
  20. I saw the hairbase in your original photo at Wasabi Pills.
  21. zigazav wrote: You're not helping here. That advice is useless at this point. Try some other advice to throw at me. No offense intended to you at all. OH but he WAS helping - what he told you is extremely important but you are probably too new to understand. Being rude, and then saying 'no offense' does not mean your rudeness wasn't offensive - it was and you know it. Have a little respect for people who are trying to help you.
  22. oh Ceka, my dear, you are a breath of fresh air!! I love your posts.
  23. Thanks for that post, Melita - that was a nice thing to do!
