  4. Medhue Simoni wrote: LlazarusLlong wrote: Medhue Simoni wrote You'd be lucky to find 10 Maya users in SL. That's probably because the Mayans thought the world was going to end in 2012. Out of interest, are there any Maya users here in GD? [Yeah, I know, that question should really be asked in the Technical Forum.] PS Anyone that claims to be will have to prove that they are neither a Linden alt nor a shill. PPS Is it coincidence that one of the meanings of the original Sanskrit word Maya is "Unreal"? PPPS All of the other meanings imply something that doesn't, and will not exist except as a figment of someone's imagination. PPPPS Do you think LL's codename for SL V2 is Maya? Funny stuff! Cathy Foil is the only dedicated Maya user in the forums that I know of. Chosen Few is another Maya user, more like a fanboy, that was on the forums alot. Him and I have worked together on a few projects outside of SL, and we argue over Maya and Blender quite a bit. Chosen has pretty much left SL tho, mostly because of the TOS, but I know he does do work for some SL merchants. I just worked with him on 2 games in the last 2 months, so I know he's around. It wouldn't surprise me if LL gets him to be in the alpha, cause he has actually done work for them before. So basically, you choose to ignore the actual texts as Innula has pointed out - in which Ebbe makes it clear Maya is just in the first rounds of testing for reasons LL will know and later they will incorporate A LOT of other softwares - I get the feeling you are just ranting about because you do not like or ..maybe, want or //gasp, maybe you cannot!, use Maya and so you focus on that specific alpha-testing phase and love to skip the rest. Good story.
  5. LlazarusLlong wrote: Ah, Ebbe also mentioned "The Lab does not view the new platform as a contiguous “world” with a unified “geography” and "There will be segregation based on age / content" so he obviously intends to create ghettoes for grown-ups - as well as minors that don't even have to lie much - or perhaps he has never acquainted himself with the age verification debacles. Oooh..so nothing changes much then! Phew!
  6. LlazarusLlong wrote: "One interesting decision we made among ourselves, just the other day, is that we want the next generation platform to be 13+" - Ebbe Altberg, VWBPE 2015 Well, that completely puts the mockers on SL V2 for Adult participants. Yeah, I wondered about that. Perhaps they forgot that....well, sex sells? (sex in the Disney categorie as I am afraid this implies, also means no nipples (from women), no bare butts, no innuendo, no skimpy clothing or anything that we in Europe consider natural and beautiful forms of art and expressing yourself in the nude, but.....lets cover the virtual eyes of everyone in case someone gets offended by omfg ....a nude, pixel, body and worse: showing sexuality exists!)

Ohhh you got 50 Shade of Grey treatment! IKR? The most annoying is, that after the whole eclipse was done (or so I heard on the news, because I could not see it?), the clouds disappeared and it is a bright, sunny day every since.

At least half of them are showing up at the ankle level, with my foot below the bottom of the shoes. I've removed the shoes and tried putting others on, or even the same shoes, and every one of them is hitting there. I make sure to put the base on and they still do it. I have some outfits that aren't affected by this. It's the same mesh skin, on all of them, so I'm not exactly sure what is going on. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Not sure what you mean with 'mesh skin' as there is no such thing, but I am guessing you are not wearing the alpha-layer that comes with shoes. Then again, guessing here...are you wearing SLink shoes and feet? Or SLink shoes without the feet? Or GOS shoes? All of those need alpha layers and the right feet, except GOS that only needs alphalayers. A bit more information on the brand of shoes would help!

Remember not to pick forum threads because that goes to questions and answers and pick forum posts and then swap the tab from all to the normal view, by which time I have forgotten what I was going to respond to or where it is. On my iPhone (the one I took the screenshot with) and iPad I use Safari and I can easily navigate with the top-tabs.

I want to sound all posh and fancy and say something along the lines of Hob Nob, but the truth is it's got to be the reliable Richtea. A Digestive has a far better soaking quality, but that is seriously offset by its fragilty. Ah....I tried those. I do like them a lot. But, they tend to break so easily! I should have mentioned perhaps, I do not dunk in tea - I do not believe in drinking hot water - but I prefer Ovalmaltine (or Horlicks as you probably call it). Do you think dunking in malt drinks requires a different biscuit? Ah, that would be the ones with pictures of grazing cows on them; malted milk, I believe. For milky drinks my personal preference is something my now sadly departed grandmother used to consider her special treat: Marie biscuit sandwiches. This involved slathering one Marie biscuit (very difficult to find now, and relatively expensive for what are simple plain thin tasteless rounds in their unenhanced form) with heart-blocking amounts of full-fat butter, then placing another on top. The dunking process has a visual aspect, with melted butter forming golden spirals in the froth of the milky drink, but don't do it with tea, it just looks like scum. I have to admit that there is a degree of danger of disintegration, but I limit my risk by consuming the whole snack in one. [it didn't do much harm to my Gran; she lasted until her late 80s.] Marie Biscuits!! I love those! Thank you for reminding me. They are the most common biscuits overhere, plenty and cheap...sheesh, how come I forgot about those...! We call them, as we like to translate everything: Maria Biscuits. /me runs off to supermarket

I want to join the larger ones that keep traffic high for days, are there any other large-scale events like that, that you know of? High traffic for days is usually not that wonderful for your shopping experience, but yeah it is a good indication an event is popular. As already mentioned to you, Seraphim blog has updates a lot. Big events with monthly rounds are (and you can find them easily in search): Shiny Shabby, FaMeshed, Collabor88 and on 23 april the Fantasy Faire will open - an annual event with this year 10 sims in theme and proceeds mostly go to RFL. Then there is the Dressing Room Fusion, The Secret Afffair and The Liason Collaborative....so many events, so little time!

This question deserves a whole Friday thread of its own. [For our colonial friends "biscuit" is real English for what you call a "cookie".] Oops.....I may post it again tomorrow and perhaps I could then also mention the Bourbon, which I do not like but are always in the majority in those packs with 'assorted' biscuits.

Dang, Llaz, you must be right: how could someone possibly want to wear such a group tag? (but I kind of miss Wasted's posts sometimes when the forum is so boring - that is, all the time...) I miss Wasted also. He did start to get a bit annoying at the end when he had to start making new accounts in order to post here. But he sure could be lots of fun. And he had some wild Machinamas. I don't miss him at all. I have seen his last 'work' on other platforms - after he left here- where he teamed up with another unsavoury individual, posting the most vile and disgusting things. I am glad he disappeared.

Groups can indeed be hidden: Group visibility in your profile By default, others can see the groups to which you belong in your profile. To hide a group so that it does not appear in your profile: Choose Communicate > Groups or right-click on yourself and choose My Groups. Click the group you want to hide Click Group Profile. Deselect Show in my profile. Click Save. I think OP already did that and is now worried someone has a program to find out what groups he has hidden. I doubt such a program exists and think he is worrying for nothing but someone must be laughing their *** off.
