  1. I really don't know what is going on with this, it really is a mess. Did you ever manage to find out who the owner of the pic is? Perhaps they can do something. eta: I just had a look at that listing. Can you tell me what happens if you relist it again? does it still go to the marketplace homepage or does it go to your listing? When it's relisted, can you edit the listing to remove the picture? or can you add more pics and make one of the others the main image? At the moment it looks like my mascot but I can't do anything with that because not only did I delist it but then deleted the listing - so it's uneditable for me.
  2. Did any of you bother to check your manage listings total against what your storefront says? I have a discrepancy of 1 in the other direction - ie I have 1 more on my storefront than I do in my manage listings - this is the dud one that has the right picture but goes to the marketplace homepage because I deleted the listing long ago. i.e it's the one which I'm keeping as my storefront mascot. If you find you have more listed in your manage listings list than you do on your storefront, it means you should have some of the corrupt listings and can get to them to change the picture back to your own and/or delist it. So check your listing totals and have a look - then you'll need to go down your list of listed items to see which ones are missing from the storefront - a sucky job if you've got lots of them
  3. When LL suggested a merchant verification a few years back, the outcry was deafening. The main complaints against using a premium account from what I remember was that it was unfair to people who couldn't afford it or didn't need it. They also wanted to put in place a mechanism for merchants to confirm that all the components used in their builds were legit. For anyone who doesn't create all their own stuff (scripts, textures, animations, sculpts etc) it's impossible to confirm that because you really don't know if the creator you bought them from didn't rip them. Sad but true.
  4. have you tried changing it to a jpg and seeing if that works? ok scrub that, I didn't comprehend the post first time around. have you tried putting the pic in a different directory on your hard drive - try something higher up the menu tree, it could be something as simple as you've blown the file path length and so it can't load it
  5. good, at least you've come to no harm then.. I put no level of incompetence past these people anymore.
  6. I'm with you on the enhancement, that's their lookout but can you actually update your listing? (add keywords, re do your description etc) the code should be separate so it shouldn't impact but these guys are so woeful that it's possible they've broken something as a sideline
  7. can you still modify the listing as you need to? The last thing you need is it to become uneditable because of this listing enhancement..
  8. I swear I'm going to set up a fan club for you. I can't be the only one who adores your posts.
  9. afaik, the gteam was disbanded years ago. if you've got a premium membership it might be worthwhile talking to support and seeing what they can do. otherwiselook at it as just another cost of doing business in here
  10. I saw this on the merchant home page and wondered if anyone had tried it. Merchant homeTechnical AnnouncementJanuary 24, 2013 Aditi has been updated with some fixes for email notifications and the ability to manage email preferences. Please take a look at the Beta Release Notes and give it a try!
  11. I have the same problems with another pair of shoes I own, they look fine in phoenix (I dumped the invisiprims and replaced them with an alpha) but, as I discovered last year, are not so fine for anyone not using that viewer. That's when I decided to go barefoot. It's all too hard and no one ever sees her anyway since I won't let her out of the workshop. edit.. invisprims *not* megaprims!!
  12. I'm with you on the cankles and some of those feet look gorgeous but I hate having to spend what feels like (and probably is) hours skin matching and then still have them change colour because they're prim not av mesh. I did buy a pair of mesh heels with feet for one of my other accounts and spent more hours than my patience lasted trying to get the skin matched and gave up. So Couldbe stays barefoot unless I'm taking the ad pics for my stuff and even then I'll keep her unshod if I can get away with it. The problem for me is that the feet (both male and female shoes) change the animation positions from the unshod by enough of a margin to be quite noticable, I reason people can forgive if they're shoeless and floating above the thing but it's no so easy to be happy if you're partially stuck in the furniture . Usually I remember to put the shoes on but for these, I forgot.. sigh
  13. I asked this question a few years back but then it was asking if anyone did.. Now I'm asking if there's anyone left who doesn't wear them. Couldbe is still unfashionable and only has them in one pair of shoes but I've seen all manner of naked fake feet and of course there's always mesh shoes and feet these days. So has anyone not succumbed? (I only ask because I've just finished three major bits of animated furniture and as I'm doing my final check I'm wearing shoes and realise just how far poor Couldbe sinks into the ground with them on! Which means I need to readjust them all... or not if people still use the defaut av mesh feet.. yeah, I know, call me optimist!)
  14. and how much do you pay blizzard a month? A damn sight less than you pay these monsters I bet but then that's the difference between a company that's thriving and LL. here's a snippet of endurance.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=109-5Q5S3tU search you tube for clive james endurance for more (if you can bear it)
  15. Dartagan Shepherd wrote: All told though, I'm actually still pro SL. We all are lovey, we wouldn't be here otherwise. The thing we'rve stopped doing is giving LL the benefit of the doubt. Did you ever see that Japanese game show called endurance? That's us more than anything, I think.

  17. Thanks , I couldn't remember if it was Cerise or Void who did the original one and I thought that Ann Otoole did one too.
  18. and these "loose associations" are why when I (or anyone else) go searching for stuff on the mp the returns are full of crap. I really need to get that plugin. If I find something that comes up like that, no matter how much I like it I make a note to avoid that store in future as I don't agree with gaming. Interestingly these days I've also noticed than when I shop inworld if I see *ahem* instore models that aren't identified as bots I won't buy anything either. I reason it can't be that good if the owner has to game the system. I need to get my hands on that plugin again Madeliefste but I can't remember where it came from. Do you remember?
  19. I can top that in the petty, pedantic stakes. Back in the days when I still really cared I got hit with a rounding *ahem* feature that afflicted group liabilities, so it took too much out of an account for the liabilty and didn't even leave it in credit with the group. So I whistled up live help and made them repay that 1L to my account. I thought that it might trigger the devs to revisit it and do it properly. These days I expect them to rip me off (and of course they do, as we all know) so I try very hard to just shrug and put the blame where it lies - with me, for participating in this farce. Hey ho
  20. that means your click through rate is at the lower end of a run of the mill site - you'd like to hope that slm could have been considered a high affinity site though. according to the wiki, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click-through_rate (sorry about the code thing but it won't let me post the exerpt as normal text) Click-through rates for banner ads have fallen over time. When banner ads first started to appear, it was not uncommon to have rates above five percent. They have fallen since then, currently averaging closer to 0.2 or 0.3 percent. In most cases, a 2% click-through rate would be considered very successful, though the exact number is hotly debated and would vary depending on the situation. The average click-through rate of 3% in the 1990s declined to 0.1%-0.3% by 2011. Since advertisers typically pay more for a high click-through rate, getting many click-throughs with few purchases is undesirable to advertisers. Similarly, by selecting an appropriate advertising site with high affinity (e.g., a movie magazine for a movie advertisement), the same banner can achieve a substantially higher CTR.
  21. Czari Zenovka wrote: At any rate, I'm going to contact her tomorrow and ask if she could unlist the items that are in my MP store and then relist. She may not wish to do so and I can't blame her due to the relisting rule but worth a try. it's not just that but of course she'll lose all search ranking for the items and any reviews etc. If she just needs to unlist and then activate it again it may be downgraded a little (or a lot, it seems pretty random what happens sometimes) and she might consider it. You'll have to use your charm on her
  22. I just had a look at them and don't recognise them. have you tried doing a google image search on them to see if it turns anything up? (if you use firefox there's an addon called google similar images that you can install). since all G and I think M rated items are open to the google spider it may turn something up.
  23. I really wouldn't worry about the extras, I'd go looking to see if the items that belong to those listings has hooked up first. that's the important bit. Czari's post makes it look hopeful that something might happen..
  24. If it works I'll be really surprised as I think they're caused by previously deleted listings where the thumbnail was created in error and since the listing has been deleted from your store, it won't come back. So manage your expectations downwards for this, ok?* eta: but this is such a bug ridden PoS that anything is possible, so you just never know
