  1. I host a race that goes through Blake Sea - China and 3 of the last 4 weeks the racers have crashed as they entered that sim. I've even crashed flying into it. I hate to change my course since my racers enjoy competing with past times but I'll have too until things are fixed. Either that or suspend the races since then. I"m tired of setting things up just have it collapse because of technical issues.
  2. I"ve been running a race in Blake since last September. We had an occassional bad night but the last month or so has been horrible. We can't finish a race. Everyone crashs. And Just what is a pgi-maint-server. Blake Sea China used to be on the Magnum RC but now it's a pgi-maint-server. Is this why it's always screwed up? I'm about to give up.
  3. People used to complain about the old viewer before there was a V2. They said it had to be updated. I kinda like V2 but i wish my web profile wouldn't erase itself every few days.
  4. This Jira is the perfect example of why they shouldn't remove voting and why they shouldn't close Jira's just because someone doesn't like it.
  5. It's good to see you enjoying the world. If you want to try something immersive, join us at the Blake Sea Contested Waters sometime. We'll have you fighting pirates in sea battles, lol.
  6. looks like a good way to play to the strengths of the Second Life platform.
  7. Welcome to Second Life. While your checking out the various communities in SL, come by one of our sea battles in Blake Sea. It'll also give you a chance to observe vehicle sim xings with the sims under a lot of stress.
  8. I hate to see you go Burman. I love sailing your gunboat and was looking forward to the larger ship you told me about a while back. I think your wrong about the future of SL but then I've not invested as much as you. Good luck whatever you do. Merry Christmas
  9. What exactly is easier to do for builders in the 1.x viewers compared to V2.4. The only issue I found was the delete option was down one menu when you clicked an item inworld to delete it. The Starlight skin fixs that. Adding this skin should not be an issue for computer savy users. The original V2.0 up through V2.2 were "an atrocity for builders" but a lot of progress has been made in 2.3 and 2.4.
  10. I've found V2 since the 2.3 version to work fine for building. Since I'v become used to the setup of V2.x the 1.x viewers seem clunky and harder to use. Before V2.x people used to complain that the viewer wasn't very intuitive and needed to be updated. Strange how now 1.x has become the perfect viewer that shouldn't be changed.
  11. 2.4 has been great for me. I've had few crashes with it. I had a few crashs at first but the most recent version is very stable. The opaque water option has been great for when I'm fighting sailing ships. It's given a huge performance boost.
  12. I'm sorry to see you go. Come by the Blake Sea Contested waters sometime and I'll let you gun for me in a battle with pirates.
  13. I"ve been using v2.2 beta for about 3 weeks now and it's great. It's been stable and with the new customizations it's a lot easier to use than previous v2.x viewers. I woudnl't use V2 before either but it's my main viewer now.
