  1. Since last week's rolls, it takes a minimium of two tries to change a group tag from the group pane for me. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?
  2. Indulging in a second question As Second Life continues on as a viable product for Linden Lab, what future improvements might be on the table or in consideration to keep Second Life fresh, even as we begin to see more of Sansar come to light?
  3. I've been in Second Life long enough to be considered an "Oldbie." During that time, I've lived primarily on the mainland, particulatly in the Bay City area since 2008. I am a hug fan of the mainland, especially when boating or flying, as it can give kilomter after kilometer of contigious travel. Much of what I've heard about Sansar implies there will not be anything alalogous to the mainland. Are there any plans to have a large, contigious mass of regions that Residents such as myself can enjoy?

  5. Thanks for choosing my photo! :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:

  7. Do we have any deploys planned for this week?

  9. Is there any sort of list out there of regions that are on the Snack RC? I'd particularly like to find out any in the Bay City area.
  10. Ya, I would rather like a more official confirmation here as well. Folks get nervous. :-D
  11. Well, it's scheduled maintenance tomorrow, and it is a holiday week in the US. My bet is that there's no rolls this week. Surprised tno not see an official note on it here.

Reading a JIRA makes my brain hurt, I read and write English, not BASIC, or whatever it is you guys use. Just what is going on? I'm also not a "highly paid computer professional," but I assume this is a potential fix for some of the issues you mention. Specifically issues with busy regions (I've seen this at events like C88, etc.) where an indiividual ends up losing presense on the server, having issues with transactions, etc. BASIC. That's funny. :-D Mari
  13. For BlueSteel and LeTigre, it says "Fixed a bug in which certain objects had incorrect status when crossing between regions" Can you go into more detail on this, please. or point me somewhere that I can find out more?
  14. BAY CITY ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING, CONCERT, AND FUNDRAISER Fourth Annual Event celebrates the holiday season Come to the Bay City Fairgrounds on Sunday, December 8th 2013 from 1-4 PM SLT for a tree lighting, skating party, silent auction, music event featuring GoSpeed Racer, Grace McDunnough, and CelticMaidenWarrior Lancaster. The event will be held at the Bay City Fairgrounds, in North Channel ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/North%20Channel/128/128/24/ ). There will be ice-skating, dancing, refreshments and lots of fun! In addition to all the above, a silent auction is planned for the event. Please contact Marianne McCann to participate. Auction will end at the conclusion of the event at 4PM SLT. All proceeds from the silent auction and from donation bins at the venue will go to Child's Play Charity (www.childsplaycharity.org). Child's Play is a 501c3 non profit organization offers online communities such as ours an opportunity to help seriously ill children around the globe during their hospital stays with the purchase of games and gaming equipment. Bay City is a mainland community, developed by Linden Lab® and home to the Bay City Alliance. The Bay City Alliance was founded in 2008 to promote the Bay City regions of Second Life and provide a venue for Bay City Residents and other interested parties to socialize and network. It is now the largest group for Residents of Bay City. For more information, or to participate in the event, please contact Marianne McCann.
  15. I'm hearing of an *increase* rather than a decrease in the "parcel full" bug (BUG-4024) after this morning's rolls, both from railroad and aviation fans. I'll try to round up more feedback on it.
  16. Now here's an oddity that I've been hearing about this week, and have now noticed myself. Sometimes, when I log in, there are items missing from the scene I log into. Items are just not there, and none of the usual tricks will make them rez. For example, this was what I logged into this A.M.: Now as you might surmise, this room does not normally look this empty. There's a lot of clutter on those shelves, and even a few other items on the walls and desk. But they were not there. Nothing selectable, no change if I went into wireframe, etc. Just plain not there. That is until I teleported to a different region, waited a couple beats, and teleported back. Revealing: There's all the clutter that should be there. I've seen similar issues with both attachments, particularly hair, that will be missing prims on login, and only reappear if I remove the object in question and re-wear it. This is happening on Second Life Server 13.07.08.278357, and from others' reports at least since the last round of restarts. I'm on the current official viewer on Mac, but others are using PCs and/or TPVs with similar results, leading me to assume this is somehow server-related. I'd want to accuse interest, but I don't see anything in the most recent deploy to easily hang the blame on. Anyway... not sure where to go from there, but figured I could at least mention it here. Edited to add: "missing" items included mesh, sculpted, and primitive objects.
  17. Maestro Linden wrote: Hi Imagin, that sounds like it could be an issue with your inventory rather than baking, especially if the "wrong outfit" issue extend to your attachments. If the issue persists and clearing cache doesn't help, I would recommend that you contact support. FWIW, I've seen similar issues to Imagin, but I've not yet been able to pin down enough of a "did this, caused that" to really write something up about it.
  18. Rachael Pang wrote: I don't think these morons know what the hell they are doing. How many restarts do we have to go through in a damn day. I got work to do. Shouldn't they have a region that can be a test region before they do this? I'm sure your calm and reasoned response will assist :-)
  19. They are not officially sanctioned bythe lab, but were part of an initiative put together by me and a couple other kids back in 2006 to find locations that would be kid welcoming.
