  1. 12 years 3 months. I knew about it 2 years earlier though. I was bored on 12/31/2005 (yes New Year's Eve), remembered this odd thing I had read about, and gave it a try.
  2. Late to this topic, but just yesterday I found an entire sim of games. Must have been about 100 or so games and tables. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dragon Nest/97/139/31
  3. I do have to agree with Prok about trying to keep your own handmade folders to a minimum. I had some and they were all pretty, with folders made with special characters for dividing categories, and lost no copy items twice. Near as I can guess, it may have had something to do with the way I made my dividing folders, but anything that was in further folders under them that was no copy, disappeared. After the second time, I took them out of those areas, moved them up to my Objects folder till they are further sorted, and nothing has disappeared in that fashion since.
  4. I spent an entire week or so making subfolders to presort things into, then another opening vendors boxes, deciding what to keep, what to pack up and what to just trash, filling those presort folders as I went. Now I work on uploading the items into my Wardrobe. The stuff I can wear gets special treatment. That being said, you do have to develop a method to control the madness. You might just need to get as far as my presorting, you might need to get further. But take it in chunks, the most overwhelming thing you can do is look at it as all one gigantic mass.
  5. *waves to Buttacwup Pwincess. I use the same tool, CTS Wardrobe. I've eliminated my need for links (they really can bloat inventories) and have an visual reference to everything I've uploaded to my page so far. If you use it with RLV, you can get dressed from your page. Feel free to take a look at my profile picks or everythingbutta.net to see it in action. It does make you think of what you use, how much you use things and how to improve your sorting. Like Lewis above, if I don't need an LM, NC, script, animation calling card or sound, I get rid of them. I do get rid of the sizes I don't need if I have the vendor box and the item is copy. I can always pull another size from the box later.
  6. You might also try EMO-tions and Analog Dog. I'm not sure about the Analog Dog hairs, but I have been able to make tint changes to the EMO-tions hair that I own.
  7. I see you have golf listed, I highly recommend it. Most of the time you can rent the golf clubs for about 10L for a few hours of use. Many of the courses are really quite nice.
  8. My new place, still have landscaping and knickknacks to do, but like how it's coming along. The house is from Trompe Loiel.
  9. Apple Fall has a spectacular, working set up. Unfortunately, the in-world store is currently closed while he rebrands and I can't find it in the MP, which sucks. The board is plenty large enough since the pieces are nearly as large as a standard avatar.
  10. It's like really, really bad sex. In, out, in, out, but no one is enjoying it.
  11. Even worse one in I think was in 2006 or 2007, took the entire grid down for a week. added: was a griefer attack back when one griefer or group of them, could spam the entire grid at one time.
  12. It might log you out anyway. I was just trying to play a gacha when it sent me out.
  13. DDoS does not have to be specific to Second Life, it can attack the servers that SL uses to connect different regions. Edited to add: One happened a few weeks back, can't remember which city, but I wasn't able to get in living in Denver, my friend in Montana had no problems.
  14. It's not up yet, not completely. Wondering if this is another DDoS attack like the others we've seen recently.
  15. I'm not that active on the foums anymore, but glad I checked them today. My sim is having the exact same problems, and starting in another sim did the trick. Just can't go home till a reboot.
  16. They might be allowed, I can't see any reason they wouldn't be, unless too many people use them and lag becomes a problem in your sim. However, the property of the Linden home you may own is very small and usually doesn't extend much beyond the house. Also if I remember correctly, the Linden home covenants do no allow for skyboxes. So if I'm correct, you might be able to have the horses, but you'd have to leave them inside your house. Your house would also be your stable.
