  1. ^^ that link was in the link I provided, too
  2. Try the Answers forum. Here is some information: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Linden-Dollars-L/premium-membership-benefits/qaq-p/1662751
  3. You must be kidding me. Just in case you are not: NO!
  4. Have you tried asking in some of the modeling groups such as SL Illustrated Models? I used to model in SL, trained models, and did alot of runway work. If you are looking for just anyone, you will have to train them to do it properly unless you just want them to use their AO. Anyway, good luck!
  5. It sounds like you have alot of DJ experience and I would encourage you to apply as a DJ with the Ambrosia Entertainment Group. The AEG is comprised of four clubs: Ambrosia Dance Club (the flagship club), Rez Nightclub, Grind Modern Romance, and BAD (music of the 80s and 90s). I will pass an application to you inworld. Complete the app and follow the instructions to send it in. If the owner likes what he sees, he will as you to take a set (2 hours) as a tryout. Payment is 90% of tips. I have DJ'ed at Ambrosia for nearly six years. DJs at AEG are expected to 'entertain' the patrons. In addition to playing music that brings them in, the DJ is expected to talk more often than every 4-7 tracks. In fact, nearly every track you will be welcoming patrons, commenting on things, etc. You will not work alone. There are normally at least two dancers and perhaps a bartender there. Anyway, good luck in your search.
  6. Well, I do not use Shoutcast. There are many other alternatives.

How is this going to effect Shoutcast Djs in Second Life? I'm assuming all will need to migrate to Icecast or similar media servers while Shoutcast make plans but the majority of SL vendors sell Shoutcast hosting and media boards. Will SL create its own solution? Shoutcast and icecast are stream providers. Winamp is an app that some DJs use to organize playlists and (using shout/icecast) stream into SL. Many DJs use apps other than winamp. DJs using winamp can still use it after 20 Dec. New DJs who have not downloaded it by that time will not be able to use it. In answer to your last question: 'SL' will not create a solution.

I will take exception to the tone of your first post in this thread. You say that you commented only on the feet size on petite avatars but closer read shows you also commented on the hand size. I know that some non-mesh shoes, once resized to 'fit' the leg' *do* look larger than normal even on avatars who are not as petite as is Keli. My experience, however, with mesh feet/shoe combos is that the size is much more normalized. That is, it looks proportional. I believe in this case, it was perspective of the camera shot and not the mesh feet/shoe size that deceived you. Apparently the second photo Keli posted did not convince you that you were seeing things. I believe that Keli selected the correct mesh foot size for her avatar and then the slink-compatable shoe 'fits'.

I am not at all happy with this. Some of my things are not copy so have lost them too, special my little kitty. In RL I am an OAP & dont get much money to live. SL is my pleasure, i love creating. Nasty people who dont give a damm about others, they must have known when they took my money. Must have known your RL situation? Not unless you told them. As has been posted above, 'they' cannot do anything with your stuff. It is yours. They can leave it in place but it eats up their prims. The most logical thing they can do is return it to you.
  11. Unfortunately, these kind of disputes happen. LL does not get involved in resident-resident disputes. You do not say if you tried to contact the landlord about the rental money but I would try to appeal for a refund. The stuff on the parcels, if owned by you, cannot be stolen. If you can get back to the sim, they are probably still there and you should be able to pick them up. If they are not there, they should be in your Lost & Found folder as a coalesced item. You will need to go to a sandbox to unpack it unless you have land elsewhere. Good luck.

How can that happen since there is such a wide variety of genres offered both in RL and SL. One need only to crank up SiriusXM to hear the variety. I suppose if you force yourself to listen to something that doesn't appeal to you. But, why would you do that? Or maybe the response would have been more clear: "Washed up DJ's who think no ones knows the true meaning behind their posts." There, I think that sums it up much better. You are psycho, er, psychic? Maybe both.
  14. Leanisa wrote: Seems to be habitual of that poster. Wow, it is known that many post here where English is not their native language. So about the scripts, BTW your post was clear regarding your question. I always make copies of hair, clothes, anything that may have a resize/recolor script and remove the scripts from the copy. It only takes a moment and I think that most people can do it if they want. It isn't hard or confusing IMO. I think many people may be lazy or some may want to keep their inventory lower. Those are my guesses. People that wear a large amount of scripts should be banned sim because it's an easy fix so it cuts down on lag. I think as Orca mentioned, creators could be more concious too. What is the 'habit'?
  15. When I saw the header of this OP, I thought perhaps it should have been posted in the Lifestyles/Relationships Subform. Updating. As in Up Dating. Well, you know there are people who post here for which English is not their native language. Anyway, I thought you were going to start a discussion on the pros and cons (if any) of up dating. You know, dating someone you think is from a higher socio-economic level. I do not know why that would be important, but people like to post all sorts of things in this forum. I can think of all sorts of reasons why one might up date as a strategy. What reasons could those be and of what benefit would it be? Is it all positive? Humm. The mind ponders. Okay, glad I got that out.

Gos and N-Core shoes are this type. Gos and N-Core also sell bare feet (flat and arched) but these feet do NOT fit in the shoes. They are intended to be barefoot or with worn with flip-flops. 2) Those that are intended to be used with Slink feet. One purchases the Slink feet and then matches them either by using a HUD applier sold by the skin creator one wears OR via a HUD skin matcher. Many shoe designers are making shoes to go with the Slink feet. Slink sells shoes that fit their feet as do many other designers. Those other designers will make it obvious in their adverts by showing the Slink logo. One can also purchase shoes that fit neither way above. I hope this helps! TMI! I want to purchase shoes, not roleplay a t-girl! *howls OK, then NVM! :smileytongue:
