  1. That's partly the angle it was taken. The camera's not perfectly 90° on either the body or the prim, and is slightly higher and pointing downward than it should be. It's very very close looking from the front.
  2. In my store, I just sent you a copy. On a phantom prim that's resizeable.
  3. I'm starting to suspect that what the issue is under the skin is that whatever passes for a spine and coccyx in the rig (?) isn't long enough and the top of the butt curve is too high for that reason. Look at this side by side I just took ... while the butt sticks out a touch more than I'd like it's the overall shape that's not correct. There's no gentle curve into the roundness from the top down (where you spine curves out), it just balloons out very suddenly. That's not how human bodies look, the curve into your tush has a downward slope not a sudden outward jutting. It's like the angle on the tailbone from the spine is too aggressive. That's my issue, almost more so than the actual size. (Also need to lengthen my arm by 1 or 2 to get the wrist in the right spot)
  4. Fiddling now (technically writing up a report for work, but with my PC at my side hard to resist). 🤷‍♀️ Not flat, I am still looking for some obvious but tamed curvature. Right now I have what I call "booty", I'm just looking for some tush (yes, yes, cue the ZZ Top meme).
  5. Well then it's some other combination of sliders working in tandem because I can't get anywhere near flat no matter how I try. I've gotten my proportional shape back (my 8:1 artists ratio re: torso length, hip width, breast height, etc) everywhere else, and the shoulders are now much better, but that curvy tush is maddening. I'm told it's cute, but maddening to me.
  6. Yes, almost everyone has a noticeable, soft curvature in those spots in the arch of your lower back. But they are almost always that, gentle wider curves, not the deep small divots that the triangles are showing in various lighting. If I were Maitreya, I'd soften those quite a bit to more of a realistic, less harsh shape as a first update.
  7. Yup, same. I can not get my tush anywhere near as flat as I could with 5.3. And 0 is also the smallest for me, I can adjust the sliders up towards 20 and see the butt increase in size. No idea how @Orwar managed that nicer looking tush pictured previously. I swear if the butt stays like this, and I can't tone it down, I'm either permanently sticking to 5.3 or exploring Legacy (shudder).
  8. This is roughly the shape I'm looking for as well. Still not getting it quite right. Too rounded yet for me (I'll be posting in the naked pic section as example to show off my current freckled tush). https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/489954-tastefully-naked/page/57/#comment-2662745
  9. Yup, but does that save the new alpha to the clothes, or when I put that same outfit on again will I need to repeat this? There's supposedly a way to create and save a new alpha setup into the clothes using the /95 method.
  10. Anything well done captures my interest and imagination. North west Pacific coast rocky shoreline. Urban. Cyberpunk. Smokey small club with good jazz. Desolate isolation. Thematic environments and well done sim residential areas. Even if I don't like a specific type of decoration or overall theme, I can still admire and praise it for the effort, beauty, and overall effectiveness.
  11. I haven't tried setting up a new AutoHide with am item that already has one in it (will it override the existing one?) as described at the top, it's this part at the bottom that seems to not work ...
  12. Re: Lara vs LaraX clothing ... Can someone either explain in very small, simple words and steps how to do the /95 [part of the outfit name] delete trick to me to get the auto hide alphas or scripts or whatever out of the handful of favourite outfits I want to try to wear so I can just manually alpha using the HUD? Or point me to a relevant video tutorial? I try it and nothing seems to happen. Thanks!
  13. Find me the name of the CXO, the one in charge of the overall direction for user experience. Their UX team, their UX researchers. As someone in that field for 30 years, that's someone I'd like to know a lot more about.
  14. The Lara HUD has a re-delivery button so no need to go to the store unless you also have Maitreya Petite. Either way, people are being very good and the store is crowded but not difficult to get into. People are mostly arriving, grabbing the re-deliveries, and then leaving, thankfully. One thing I have noticed are the better elbows in most resting positions. In 5.3 you could sometimes see what I'd describe as the end of a 1x2 stick joint poking back, now it's much smoother.
  15. Re: the bum dimples (aka Dimples of Venus, thanks Michelangelo 🙄). It is really dependent on the BoM skin you use. The included Velour ones do accentuate them, while both of my TheSkinnery skins really make them far less noticeable. See the photo below, wearing my usual BoM from TheSkinnery. I've also found that a lot of my looser clothes (for example, a recent sweater and shorts set from Neve) fit fine with only one or two extra alphas needed.
  16. I've found that "LaraX" gets correct (if currently much fewer) results. "Lara X" with the space gets literally Lara + X, hence everything with Lara and Belle Gen X, sadly. And wow, the Lara Friends group is a very active place indeed. Apparently Addams is already updating some of their stuff.
  17. Ysoral's already updated some of their jewellery. Yay!
  18. I still don't understand how to remove the built in auto hides from clothing (that whole /95 trick does not seem to do anything), and would be happy to do that and simply alpha out on the Maitreya HUD where needed to wear my current wardrobe and LX. Until I sort that out I'll tweak LX into the shape I want (including a LXPetite shape as well) and stick with 5.3 and buy my fave clothes as they become available, making the switch to LX full time when there are enough clothes. Very happy that the new LX is easier for clothing folks to rig for. Now get making clothes!!!!!
  19. Small tip ... try some of the Legacy sizes if you have them for clothes that clip a bit. Someone in the DD group just mentioned she's had some luck with some outfits that way.
  20. I noticed that and had to dial the hip with way down to get back to suitable proportions. I will be spending a few hours just tweaking sliders to get exactly back to my previous look below the shoulders, but have made decent enough progress to save a new shape. Petite's breasts never get round btw, and the same smaller breast issue persists with regular Lara; dial the breast size down too much and it looks distorted flat.
  21. Just go to the store and click the redelivery terminal. Voila, new LaraX.
  22. Yay, among my faves!!!! EDIT: I have just redelivered all eight of the things I bought there and none seem updated. They don't have a LaraX size in them at all. Here's the Notice from the group: Will old releases for lara 5.3 be updated to lara X? There will NOT be a systematic of old products created for Lara 5.3 to Lara X. Unfortunately I can not afford to add more working hours to my current schedule, with 8 years of past creations to update I am unable to commit my efforts for the enhancement of old products. I might sporadically update older products, there is not a schedule or list of products, these updates will happen at my discretion. Moving forward all Dead Doll releases will ONLY support Lara X and Petite X. Given how popular she is, this makes total sense. I assume many other brands will follow suit, given the enormous amount of work it would take to re-rig older clothes. Save your Lindens girls, it's shopping time soon! We really should start a list of the major brands that have started to update their clothing.
  23. Yes, very much so. Even without the Velour and using my normal TheSkinnery BoM skin, they're too sharp and harsh looking. This is, thankfully, about the only flaw i noticed on the new body though, but does need a fix. May have partly been the lighting/EEP though to some degree, this morning with my TheSkinnery skin was less harsh looking. Will post screen shot later.
  24. Got in faster than I expected, people seem to be coming in, grabbing the update(s), and leaving. That's polite and thoughtful! I agree with @Vanity Fair. Hips and thighs see some outfits not working, and the autohide on a piece of clothing does do odd things. but the shoulders look soooo much better and even my current skin (TheSkinnery) looks okay. Now, to try every single favourite outfit on Also first quick comparison from an artist's perspective. The shoulders drop better for sure, but oddly enough they are also set less wide based on the same shoulder width slider. So my proportional shape will need the shoulders widened out to match my current proportionally correct shoulder width. Need to also look at Petite again and/or fiddle with the breast sliders to see if I tweak myself slightly smaller while still retaining a round shape overall (instead of the flat shape the skins always started looking as you went to a small B cup with the regular body). Happy so far. Now gimme clothes!!!!!!!!!!!
