  1. I was so tempted. But the designer support just isn't there.
  2. ...it is such a shame, as these are the type of fairly realistic curvy body shapes that many of us have been begging for. When I saw that the body is on sale, I really dug into the weekend sales to see if anyone was offering clothing. The pickings are indeed slim.
  3. Erfe Design has two kitchens on sale this weekend. If you head into the showroom and walk to the back, you can see both of them. They are sized so huge, my avi (sized to be 6.12 ft/1.86 meters) looks like a child. Fortunately you can resize.
  4. In cause you're still hungry for kitchens, here are a few more on sale this weekend:Atelier Burgundy - this one was at an event not too long ago at full price. Now the kitchen is on the Saturday Sale, as well as the individual color appliance packs. All the cabinet colors are very retro.
  5. Thanks for the reminder! I've been looking for some rugs with more nude/beige/rust tones and this was a good place to check! They don't have a lot of contemporary rugs, though...if you're looking for something along those lines, a place like Fancy Decor would likely be better.
  6. A modular kitchen available this weekend from Legma - $L66 each for upper and lower cabinets. No appliances included.
  7. Cheezu has some really cute items. Some are really kawaii/schoolgirl style but there are others that are not as obvious in that direction. I really love the new Dear sim. I feel like I have stepped into an oceanside town in South Korea. It even has an iconic red lighthouse at the end of a walkway that has appeared in many KDramas, and one of those pop-up bar/restaurants that you often see in KDramas too. The other shopping sim that is having 50% off sales this week is The Sign. Unlike Deer, it is a nightmare to navigate at ground level. Use the sign at the landing point to teleport directly to stores. Spectaclechic and Wings are among the stores participating.
  8. And once again I am reminded that even Trompe's prop kitchens included in houses have so much better texturing than almost everyone else making kitchens. I really wish Trompe would get back into releasing stand-alone kitchens with animations.
  9. Another thing to consider...creators were very good to us SL citizens during COVID for a number of reasons, not the least of which was increased usage of SL. Now things are more "back to normal"...
  10. I have that Bazar kitchen - I think the reason why I don't use it more often is that, unlike their Arizona Kitchen, the textures are really flat.
  11. Nika, that's not bad, either. Texturing is still fairly realistic. It doesn't include natural woodgrain colors, although I suspect it could be tinted. But what is it with all these islands with the countertop texture wrapped around on the sides? I can't think of ever seeing that in real life.
  12. This is another of my recent favorite modular kitchens - the Consignment Tegan Kitchen. Although, I'm trying to figure out what that weird thing on the right of the island is supposed to be. On the left there is what appears to be a bolt flush with the surface.
  13. I think the best choice I've seen for woodgrain in a modular kitchen at this point is the North Oak Slimshaker White Oak Kitchen and Miller Upper Cabinets. Unfortunately it's not inexpensive. The pricing goes like this: White Oak Kitchen, Lower Cabinets Five texture pack (light or dark wood), one hardware/handle type (cup, knob, cylinder or bar) - $L595 Five texture pack, all hardware/handle types - $L995 Miller Upper Cabinets, five texture pack - $L595, 10-texture fatback $L995 Ezra Refrigerator (woodgrain) - five-texture pack - $L595, 10 -texture fatback $L895 (personally, I didn't buy the refrigerator because I think woodgrain-door refrigerators in SL just look like cabinets) Complete collection fatpack $L2995 They do have a texture picker at the store so you can try things out.
  14. Wow, what a nice group gift! I believe Avani's group is free as well!
  15. How many do I have today? Zero. Decided to try to find my ideal Newbrooke lot. Abandoned the last one, thinking it had been 24 hours, and it had not. Now I have to wait till I can roll some more picks.
  16. I think maybe you're right, as far as the exaggerated curvy bodies with big chests and rears, wasp thin waists and little stick arms.
  17. Another idea for keeping track of inventory is to use an online database like Airtable. That way you're not taking up space on your computer and you can structure the database with categories like the folders on your computer. It might also be a good idea to use keywords/tags so you could for example search for a blue top or Christmas candles. I've used Airtable very successfully for things like sewing patterns, where you may end up with a whole lot of them but want to view visually or search by item.
  18. 2, but only got the second for a month for Halloween decorating. My main home is typically a stilt, newbrooke, or possibly a sakura, and that didn't go well with Halloween, so my alt went premium for a moth to get a log cabin.
  19. Plus, the styling is a nice change from the more stereotypical cottage/shabby chic items found in the typical Scarlet Creative Saturday Sale packs!
  20. I think you'd be able to add space in the back compared to existing Traditional footprints without upsetting any landscaping, and Traditionals is the theme that really needs a larger model or two.
  21. I know this is waaaaayyyy off topic but...I've had one of those air-fryer/convection ovens for almost a year, and I love it! It's great for anything frozen, like waffles, egg rolls, sweet potato fries. I can do a rotisserie chicken like I'd buy at the grocery store, and it's the best way of cooking meat, poultry and fish that I've found, other than. grilling outside. And it doesn't heat up the kitchen like the regular oven.
  22. Ison Marlena Dress and Clawed Gloves, from this week's Fifty Linden Friday. G0thic0 Lace-up Boots, from the Nightshade event. Gupa Desire Skin in Dracula. Exile Calliope Hair. Fishnet Stockings and Fascinator are older items from my inventory.
  23. I'm all for sprucing up the Traditionals - clearly one or more larger floorpans are needed there.
