  1. It took me forever to get the inspo to post this, cause honestly I was in this rut and have been since the latter part of last year as well. But I finally got the inspo to post this. I hope you all enjoy ♥
  2. People who don't put out demos for accessories and stuff. Especially skins and ears, I know a few people who don't do it. I really like the product, but I am not gonna take a gamble on how well it fits my look or body, if there is no demo to test it out.
  3. I was raised to be kind and help, so I think that if I were to see someone who just came on or was having a difficult time trying to put together their avatar and they ask. I will help. Does that mean that automatically we are friends, no. I am just doing a good deed and moving on with my day. But yes humans do have preferences and will choose who they talk to based on certain standards of their own. That is not snobbery, that is just a human being a human. I don't have to be someone's friend or partner if I don't want to. So this post is kinda redundant in the first place.
  4. But there is a big difference between body shaming someone's actual body. To what it equates to in SL. Basically in a place we can be whatever we want, we have invested a tonne of time effort and money into a virtual representation of ones self. To me that is not body shaming, that is just being cynical towards others.
  5. Yeah you are telling me, most of the assets at the sim aren't loading in so all I see is the land and nothing else. When I try to teleport out, I just wind up crashing.
  6. SL pet peeve, when sims are totally messed up and you crash just trying to get the freak out of there.
  7. However there is a big difference between a rude comment and constructive criticism. Like saying someone looks like a child, therefore must be a pedophile that is a rude comment. Someone saying hey, if you fix your arms a tad bit that is constructive criticism.
  8. I think a fine example of standards and rules is in the sense of an RP sim. The owner puts those rules and standards out, so the people there can fully immerse themselves in a world. Fine example you wouldn't want to see someone wearing modern clothing in say a medieval sim. That all being said, to me snobbery is defined as someone going out of their way telling a person who took the time to put themselves together whether they be mesh or standard. And tell them they need to look a certain way, at say a sim that is come as you are.
  9. I literally thought she was posting about pixel food, until I read the post.
  10. I would have to agree with you on this point 100%. It's something we call preferences, and yes we all have them. If the OP expects me to lack preferences, since somehow it is wrong in her eyes. Then she is wrong.
  11. Btw just wanted to point out. Snobbery is spelled with 2 bs not one b. I read it as pixel snowbery when it first popped up in my emails.
  12. Also to maybe add some better feet and hand meshes. So they don't look like they are from a PS1 and Xbox Era of game. That and introduce walks and jumps, instead of having to look like you have something jammed so far up your butt that you walk like the avatars without AOs on.
  13. Yeah and they are adding work by having to rig for the daz body and to render an image to take a picture of said Daz Model.
  14. Apparently someone released a new body, I saw it on my FB wall. At least they were talking about it.
  15. You do realize how long it takes to rig for each body. As they are built totally differently right. I wouldn't call it a lazy merchant, it does take a fair amount of time to rig. As consumers we have no idea what they do behind the scenes to get their new item ready. I know the basics, they create the mesh, then they have to bake, and some have to retopologize it. Then they have to make the texture, whether it be through photoshop or substance painter. Then they have to rig to each individual bodies. Then they have to upload and create the graphic for the HUD and make the ad photo. That all takes time. So yes I totally understand why they drop bodies.
  16. I am not saying morphs in general, just ones that stores use on their ad photos. Like if you are doing morphs for personal reasons, I am cool with that. And that morph right there is absolutely adorable btw. But if it's for an ad, I want to see an inworld ad pic taken.
  17. I can totally understand where you are coming and I am no creator. But I can see where the creators are coming from and why they drop bodies. As new bodies hit the market and more people want that body, they tend to drop other bodies. So they aren't burning themselves out. So I wouldn't say it's being shafted, they are just lightening their load.
  18. I don't know if I brought this up or not. Ad photos that use morph or Daz 3D to represent their product. I feel like a lot of those ads falsely represent what you are buying and well they need to start taking photos in world and doing some editing. To me it feels like those commercials you watch for fast food products and it shows a burger or some other food. But when you buy it, the item does not look like how they represented it on TV. To me I would like to see a true representation of the product you created. Or at least put a disclaimer, what you see in the ad photo is not a true representation of the product shown. Honesty in marketing creators, please do it.
  19. Pet peeve, when a topic keeps on going for days and days and you are going. We got the point, what the person said was offensive. So let's move on. Also it's partially my fault for that whole post going south. I made a comment, then people jumped on the bandwagon to defend me. I like the defense, but after she explained what she meant. I was not really offended anymore, and just moved on.
  20. Well I am on the autism spectrum and I can't tell certain social cues from a hole in the ground. Lol. That all being said, you could have used a better word. Here I am about ready to fight you in forums, and well you explained yourself. So I gotta put those digital fists away.
  21. Wait wait what, do you have an issue with having a conversation with Autstic people, or what is the deal?
  22. SL has been like that for years, but I think many of us wanted this one look. As it seemed to be the most comfortable thing to do. I still know many people who use one look. Now me, I am very fluid in how I look. I have many looks for the many facets of my personality. And I love that about myself, I think I have like 2 female looks and 2 male looks.
  23. It is hard to even find a decent sized one story house in SL, everyone wants these big expansive houses they can decorate the crap out of. And here is me, wanting a bouse just to decorate to look nice and be liveable. Lol
  24. It is an Ice Cream place. Used to be owned by Tim Hortons for a little bit actually.
