My note is about the use of unconditional cycle. For educational purposes (newbies reading). Not this specific case. You may use if ( llGetRegionAgentCount() == 0 ) Sleep(60); while ( llGetRegionAgentCount() > 0 ) so the script takes longer pauses when the task is not needed. Again, this is not about changing an hovertext but anything to be executed continuously.

Here i am speaking about teaching to write meaningful code. The purpose of high level programming languages is to clearly describe an algorithm (the sequence of logic and action to solve a problem). To clearly describe the actions needed to solve a problem. while ( TRUE ) even technically efficient locally, is a kind of code obfuscation, a code that don't want to tell you what is doing. Like: "Why?" "Because yes." The conditions that should be tested (instead of TRUE) can be found asking the question: "At which conditions this activity become useless or wasteful?" This will make the code clear to understand and globally efficient.

⚠️ This is a software abomination... 🤭 😐 No cycle in the universe should ever be UNCONDITIONAL

This is Blue Willow from Robin Sojourner SL shop: This SL (Aphrodite shop) set looks very similar to my mom artwork (painting on white porcelain):

help with a simple car script
2Tessa replied to Sandrine Vanbeeck's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
The scripts must be adapted to the geometric orientation of each mesh part. For example: a wheel can be set to rotate around one of three axis: X, Y or Z and the script have NO way to know the correct one. Only a script customization can adjust this properly. Same apply to the car body and to the doors, that open with a rotation. Each script must be customized to the 3D orientation and axis of rotation of each mesh part. -
If you have modify permission on the object, to apply a texture you drag it from the inventory and drop it on the surface you want. Else you just put a cube prim on the wall and you flatten it and extend it to cover all the wall. Then you apply the texture to it.

I had my first male account in 2009, then I made a female avatar, which became my fav. I love to work on female shape and is much more visually pleasing. This I have now was intended to be a Scripted Avatar (a remote controlled bot). After I left SL for several years (~5) and when I returned I used as main simply because of the available inventory. I made 2-3 males to work on male shapes but to have a guy on my screen just make me want to log out. 🤭 😆
