  1. If your Domme friend is someone we know, then please tell her "hi"!
  2. "It's a Trap!" (This would be more entertaining with a meme of Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars, but I am holding back due to something the Mod said! Quartz? I think it was Quartz.)
  3. That sounds like we need multiple solutions (also because there is no "one size fits all" solution as is being discussed).
  4. I had no idea being a shill was so hard. I blame the thread.
  5. Select "Ignored Users" under the menu that comes up when you click the arrow by your name. You will get a dialog to enter users that you want to ignore.
  6. It would, but it would also break all mesh content. Really? Even if it were the most simple solution, a physical garment attachment that could indeed be derendered?
  7. That usage of "panels" sounds like an extra, physical layer. Perhaps that is what LL means all along? It solves the BOM issue..
  8. Just realized I'm slacking on this thread, my posts make up for less than 10% of all replies. (This is an example of self-deprecating humor, and is not intended to actually be a "humble-brag".)
  9. Next question: If a non-BOM body supports "appliers", can't appliers be used just the same as "BOM" - meaning, nobody can "de-render" the applier layer, since it is a texture and not physical clothing? (And yes, I saw the post someone made earlier about how a bad actor could use "texture switching", which is an extreme edge case.)
  10. Yes. The "Opinions" don't really help (like with the "my avatar looks young" posts). Unfortunately, our interpretation of the TOS changes is mostly "Opinions" too, at this point!
  11. If you stick around the Forum, you will learn a lot of internet / slang acronyms! These should help if you don't know them already: OTOH = "On the other hand" IIRC = "If I remember correctly" AFAIK = "As far as I know" ETA = "Edited to add" OP = "Original Post" / "Original Poster"
  12. Mine is 3 pages long. I just put someone "back on it". It's no loss. I just thought they were nicer!
  13. I wonder why? OTOH (On the other hand), I don't blame them. I'd mute us too.
  14. Ouch, that color really hurts in Dark Mode. @Rowan Amore, since Codex above says "Please stop and read the F'ing TOS.." I kindly refer his quote above to you, as I was quoting you. Otherwise, I won't be responsible enough to reply as a gentleman should. 🙂
  15. Yup, a tiny clarification would help SO much. People wouldn't need to fear whether their bodies / skins get updated, etc.
  16. Thanks for quoting this again, people keep conflating the new modesty panel requirement and the "must not be nude" requirement to mean, "must always wear modesty panels". I suspect the truth of the "modesty panel" requirement will be something simple like, "creators are required to supply modesty panels as an OPTION so that avatars will always have a way to not be naked". In other words, "free underwear" that you don't have to wear, but owning it means you don't have any excuse to be naked.
  17. Maybe only kids need to worry about it, is my honest answer. Of course, you can't do it in RL so it may not occur to a lot of people to do it that way. In the context of SL, if you do it that way, nobody would know if somehow you forgot your modesty layer (or it "broke" or whatever). Just an idea..
  18. I was referring to changing in private, so I guess- if you KNOW noone is around, it should be safe to change in private at home without going through all those steps (add new, remove old).
  19. But you won't be nude, because you'll have your modesty layer on. That will protect you from anyone trying to make a fraudulent AR against you. At some point, child / teen avatars will need to "change clothes". If they are not / cannot use the new "modesty layers" due to their body etc. then, as I believe @Rowan Amore suggested earlier in the thread, they would need to change clothing in a specific order so as to "never be naked": Add the new clothing, then remove the old clothing. (Hope I got that right.)
  20. By saying random things doesn't mean I will understand easier, now you have 2 things to explain. "IYKYK" is an acronym which stands for, "if you know, you know". The meaning of this is, "if you already know, then you understand". "Free-balling" is a colloquial/slang term meaning, "without underwear" (applied to males).
  21. Well I wasn't really thinking in terms of the TOS to be honest, it was my own personal opinion on where the line is for me, I fully accept that said line will vary according to the individual and isn't representative of LL's current TOS. Cool. I was just taking what you said, and explaining how it indeed applies to the topic 🙂
  22. Ughh.. here we go, let's argue the definitions of words that have been clearly defined and agreed upon, and most people know what it means. Coffee is usually more insightful and intelligent than this, even if we rarely agree on things, this is bothersome to me. Come on. She did acknowledge the beauty pageants, which is a symptom of the issue.
