  1. I want to live here! sl, rl, both! lol. Right now I have a houseboat but if I could get lucky, I'd let that go for a spot here! *squeals*
  2. I was surprised to find they had ceiling fans and chandeliers that were free in most of their store displays, just have to click on everything to find them. I agree about the no copy thing, but as long as the store is up I guess we get to keep coming back and get as many copies as we want. I stocked up a bit on those slats hehehe.
  3. Thank you 🥰 I love those slats, they're very handy for creating space, blending uneven walls, and framing focus points in a room without making it feel cramped or obstructing your view of other areas. They're a one prim/no copy freebie from prim possible http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/1 Prim/101/120/111. The stairs is from ZOMBIE Xstar, Xstar store on the mp.
  4. Its funny that you said that because I kept thinking to myself that I use the same items in my designs over and over. 😄 Pretty much lifted the entire living room set & foyer items from the stilt house I did prior to this and used the same bed, side tables, and lamp for the bedroom. The other stuff come from rawage, dutchie, fancy decor, loft & aria, architect, prim possible, mudhoney, rebourne, bensen, ariskea, hive, and Chic Aeon's very handy 8 prim kitchen which I also started using at the previous home. The decorative surfboard is from what next and the rug is from candydoll. I forgot to add blue sky, madpea, drd and XED DESIGN for low prim plants too.
  5. Moved out of a stilt house late January and into one of the houseboats region. It's small and a little hard to take photos off but I had a lot of fun doing this project. I didn't know if I'd like staying in a houseboat but I love it! I love being this close to the sea, with access to open water to boot.
  6. Giving love & romance a chance . . . celebrating Valentine's day in sl for the first time.
  7. Thank you. That's what I was going for - tropical and beachy
  8. Well crap! I tried editing my other post and it didn't work. On the upside I finally got the photos down enough to post them only it didn't let me. So just going to post them here instead. Thanks Cyanide Pixie, Leora Greenwood and LittleMe Jewell for the helpful tips. Resizing it and saving in jpeg worked. Now hopefully I don't forget how to do it again in the future. View from the entrance Makeshift foyer View from the kitchen side Small kitchen Living Room Patio Patio And ... more patio! View from bedroom Bedroom is a bit sparse but oh well Can't have a house on water without loungers to soak the sun in I'm lucky to have a neighbor who loves trees Wide shot of the deck
  9. Thank you! I missed having greenery and colorful flowers in the stilt homes so I made sure I had them all over the house lol. Thank you for that tip I've been trying to resize the photos into smaller percentages in paint but they end up being too small to see. I'll try to remember that for the next time!
  10. I seem to have forgotten how to upload a lot of photos in one post without making them too small to be visible. Tortuga's Open Plan Room Deck Area. My most favorite spot in the house.
  11. Been playing with the Lelutka Evo head that I bought from last week's Black Friday sale and this is what I ended up with. Photo is taken in ultra mode using one of those studio windlight settings included in the Firestorm viewer and Lumipro projector for lighting. No editing except for image cropping. This is the first time I've come up with a portrait that looked this clear and good. Is it the head, the skin or maybe I was just in the right mood for taking photos? I was super sleepy and fighting to stay awake when I did it.
  12. Oh wow! I didn't know that. That's very generous of you, thank you! I'll definitely have a look around. Yay! . This has been a really fun challenge and I've been trying to get my friends to join in on the fun too since I learned about it. Two got the last skybox that was available last week.
  13. Thank you, I'm glad . You and Marianne have been an inspiration when it comes to decorating and maximizing prim usage. I've learned tips just by reading forum posts here. My prize was knowing that I could do it and the fun I had in the process.
  14. So this was a fun challenge that turned into a prim scrimping obsession for me. For days since I started, all I've thought about was how to save on prims and still have that full living space look. I didn't know if I could pull it off but here it is. Total prim count use is 39 prims. I might add more later on or not, but only if I find good low prim holiday decor. Suggestions would be much appreciated if you know of any good ones. 😋
  15. My shape for the new Catwa Freya mesh head. Loving it!!! Thank you so much for this very generous gift ♥ ♥ ♥ Freya head with a Freya body.
  16. lol when I saw it was on sale I was like whaaaat?!!! I bought one set recently for full price too! I guess now this means I can get the other color version for much cheaper, but I really have no more prims to spare as I'm reserving what's left for boat rezzing. Decisions, decisions!
  17. I'm not Eleanor but I know where you can get those things from. They're all from laq decor, at least I think the sink is too but certain that the dinning set and bed are from there.
  18. I was imagining what it would look like if it were in the real world. A few filters on pic monkey did the trick
  19. Hi Laurelrose, the curtains are from OPI mesh curtains and pillows - http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/IceDragons%20Playpen/136/139/21. They're called "Crochet Lace Curtain for KItchen - 2 sided".
  20. Thank you, Nika. 😃 I was using the colors that came with the house until I learned that you can actually make your own colors via the panel. I'm not in world right now but I believe the sink is from apple fall. The mirror is a separate item I got from the madpea spring hunt though.
  21. Sharing pics of what I've done with the Verne house. I love decorating and I had a lot of fun doing this one! Thank you to everyone who posted helpful links and photos of their homes, it gave me ideas and inspiration on what to do. I ran out of prims to do more with the outside but that's ok. I will get some of those prims back when the season is over.
