  1. It's actually something I should have done long ago.. It's not safe to post on your account here or other places, as people who disagree WILL cause you problems, aim to destroy you, and even haunt you from platform to platform - all over simple disagreements, ideological differences or some perceived slight. Something to consider if you want to continue on these forums.
  2. Can't get sauerkraut with my Costco smokie anymore 😞
  3. Me.. putting my State approved undies on. Only have adult avatars, and don't visit A regions really, but better safe then sorry, and it's kind of funny NOTE: Default Avatars have these undies apparently already.. I'm just using the default skins
  4. Yes, even after all the tedious, lawyeristic and very specific words they use, and even for those of us who bother to slug through it all... at the end of the day, this one phrase means everything else is moot. Another related virtual platform also had the same clause within their TOS. The TOS is followed only when convenient, when it doesn't take too many staff resources, and whether or not the platform benefits by looking the other way on many violations. In practice, they could ignore their own TOS to suit their favourite users, who would vocally declare how proud they were of breaking the TOS, and they remained intact. But other individuals who were deemed unfit to continue in the community were simply banned - with NO actual TOS violations - and of this same clause. A staff member further went on to say "Well we're all guests here, if you don't like the party, there's other parties (platforms) to go to". So yeah people who cling too hard to the TOS, or want to argue every nuance are wasting their time. That one clause pretty much says it all. So users either make the best of it or leave. And if they leave - tell everyone they know why they left - until the only people left on the platform is 5 people. Most users though, the average users having fun, won't have to worry about that clause. It's just a coverage clause so they don't get lawyered out of doing anything about offenders on the platform, especially those who like skirting the rules, but are causing great damage. It's the worst, when users skirt the rules and make stabs at people who they know can't respond without breaking the rules, or say a slight then 'wish you well' sort of stuff. Some are really good at it. We're headed that way, and in only a few years you will get what you wish for.
  5. Is there any relation between Avatar Complexity points and poly/tri counts in a mesh? Does 1 material vs 8 materials on a mesh affect this score? Does the addition of scripts? examples; Donning a cigarette + particle scripts adds 1800 to score. Older boots add 5800 score (because they might be high poly but hard to tell), etc I've read the following but it doesn't mention any methods of optimizing mesh, attatchments and accessories and such to help keep complexity down, as it does not describe what attributes it takes into account to calculate the overall score - (which they should add at some point to encourage creators to create optimal items) Thanks
  6. Now you're getting a taste of what I had to deal with explaining things to people. Glad to have you onboard In other words, read your TOS and stuff instead of clicking on it, and if you refuse to do so - then you could suffer consequences out of ignorance. If you read the TOS you agreed to when you log into Second Life, but are confused or have more questions, it's best to contact Support, as coming to the forums about those topics will never get you a straight answer, because noone else reads the TOS and policies either so will lead you astray.
  7. @nieru You nailed it. Not that hard, to know what is a problem, and using the same avatars
  8. See.. not that hard, 1000 pages and 10,000 panic'd posts later.
  9. Not to be back and forth, but it is my opinion that it is you and others who are confusing the issue by showing pictures of maturely developed females for the most part, who don't qualify as 'child-like' for the most part.. I didnt see any avatars with lollipops, teddy bears, and Hello Kitty blankets... All your edge cases are ridiculous. LL isn't coming after you. It's going to be clear cut cases where all of us can say "Oh yeah, that is a child!". But yeah keep 'interpreting' and 'lawyering' all the words. If you read the TOS and Policy in their entirety, it's all in there. In some cases there may be an element of subjectivity as to whether an avatar (or other image) appears to be a minor. Objective factors which will be used to decide include whether an avatar has childlike facial features, is child-sized, has clothing or accessories generally associated with children, and whether, based on the circumstances, an avatar is speaking or acting like a child ("My Mommy says...").
  10. Cite your source and how you are arriving to your opinions on anything. If you haven't read anything you shouldn't even be arguing Please read: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Clarification_of_policy_disallowing_ageplay https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000173097-child-avatar-faq/
  11. No, they're actually serious and posting their maturely developed avatars worried that they look like children.
  12. Well that was nice of you. Nice accusation. I am laughing and will continue to laugh at those who seem to have to ask what a child avatar looks like. I've also read the TOS and Child Policy, and it clearly states the criteria - and it's not so hard.
  13. That's because you can have the same avatar with curved hips and boobs like a sexually mature female, then you can lower the percieved age by suddenly putting on Disney Mickey Mouse Ears, put a lollipop in your mouth, wear piggy-tails, accessorize with a teddy bear, and a blanket with Hello Kitty on it and it changes the overall... But to ME, it would just look like an adult woman carrying around kids stuff, totally out of place, and if I was governance, I would have to take that into account anyway - as that person would then be trying to (successfully or not) to present as a child... It's not just the face or some small change, but the overall picture, but MOST OF ALL, the situation and behaviour one would be participating in ALONG with everything else. Objective factors which will be used to decide include whether an avatar has childlike facial features, is child-sized, has clothing or accessories generally associated with children, and whether, based on the circumstances, an avatar is speaking or acting like a child ("My Mommy says..."). Note: Merely having a childlike avatar does not violate this policy. It is not our intent to banish childlike avatars in and of themselves. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Clarification_of_policy_disallowing_ageplay

  15. If you're still confused and making excuses as to why you can't recognize what a 'child' looks like, then we're all lost... People can't decide on anything. You could have understood by the 'spirit' of it, but now you want to argue meshes... Wow. JUST WOW. That's fine. It's when I think of 'child' avatars yours is exactly what I think about, and is the most common age seen. Goonies era avatars by names that start with L and friends, can be found on multiple platforms, including VRChat. Avatars all around 10-12 'presenting' age.
  16. Some truth to that. Don't ever change. The world needs more straight-shooters.. and especially SL and its forums.
  17. I'd be more laughing because you had to check, when your avatar is clear lol
  18. @Koyomi Yoshikawa Pretty sure there isn't going to be the Panty Police out there. Pretty sure such investigations won't be happening and it's like anything else: Attract attention to yourself by doing something against the TOS inworld, then yeah people might have to investigate.
  19. The 'CHILD" Avatar is what is of most concern to many.. LIke you said, after that from teens and up, I don't think most people care really. As far as LL is concerned: In some cases there may be an element of subjectivity as to whether an avatar (or other image) appears to be a minor. Objective factors which will be used to decide include whether an avatar has childlike facial features, is child-sized, has clothing or accessories generally associated with children, and whether, based on the circumstances, an avatar is speaking or acting like a child ("My Mommy says...").
