Do you happen to know builders (furniture and houses, most importantly) who build as 1 real life meter equals 1 Second Life meter, please? I'm trying to compile a list of sellers who sell stuff sized to real life instead for the 7 foot tall avatar. I know a few places, but not very many. Thanks
I became an SL member in 2007. Outside of some random visits over the years, I really have been out for so long that I don't remember what style my shape is, and it seems that things like shoes are not fitting. My foot size is a 0 (cuz apparently I am now Amazonian size compared to everyone else - but I love my shape), and none of my shoe alphas are working properly. None of the new shoes I picked up are lifting the heel. And in the pictured example, when I put on any alpha in these shoes, my feet are disappearing. I assume I am a legacy shape, but even answers for that are not correcting this issue. If anyone can help me wear shoes/heels/boots normally, I would be forever grateful.
I know there are a lot of little bits of topics on mesh, so please bear with me. I've been away for about four years and I almost feel like I am forced to switch to a mesh body, which really upsets me. I worked hard on my "classic" system body, and it took years of tweaking to get it where I like it. Now I come back and there are almost no "classic" system layer clothes to be had. Most all clothing has moved to mesh. My issue with mesh clothing is that it forces you into a pre-defined size. This is actually a less minor issue for my girls than my male avatar, as the women's mesh clothing comes in a variety of size options. But my guy, he's a BIG DUDE! He's based on someone I knew RL who was BIG! I can get him a mesh body and adjust the sliders to keep him big, but all of the demo clothing I've tried force him to be a fekkin' skinny-mini. As if tall and thin were the only male body type. He's not a huge fashionista. He doesn't need wardrobes full of clothes. I just need some basics that fit his Viking-sized body, and finding decent classic system layer clothing is hard. I'm having to go back to the oooooold freebie stores, and, just, ew! So what am I missing?
Hello! I've been learning Blender for a couple of weeks now, and I finally got the basics when it comes to making mesh, rigging, weight painting, and exporting. The question I have now is how do I make mesh clothes that I've created fit the different mesh bodies? I made some mesh pants using the Slink dev kit and Marvelous Designer, and I finished the mesh completely and uploaded it to sl with textures and all. Now I want to adjust those pants to fit the Belleza and Maitreya bodies. I have the developer kits, and I even tried to rig the Slink-sized pants to the Lara body in blender to see if it would snap to that body once I turned it into fully fitted mesh, with no luck. Another thing I did was manually fitting the pants on the body (resizing, moving, and rotating) and it looked alright until I went to rig it. This is the pants on the Slink body compared to what it looks like when I manually fit it to the Maitraya body (obviously not as smooth and pretty) After I fit it manually, I went to rig it and this happened: There has to be a better way to do it than what I've been trying. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me.
