  1. Highlight Transparent has been moved to the Build > Options menu so it is available to anyone without the need to enable the Advanced menu. I also want to call out the handy menu filter in the top bar, just left of your L$ balance, where you can type "transparent" and all relevant menus remain visible.
  2. Sorry for the late reply, but the first thing I would check is to verify Preference > Setup > Willing to update to release candidate is checked. If it's unchecked it will try to update to the Release viewer.
  3. I am not able to reproduce this bug yet. If anyone has more details about how to trigger this bug, please leave a comment on https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-230789.
  4. Nahimic is virtual sound software and is preinstalled on some systems. You'll need to look for the folder mentioned in the last comments of BUG-227725 bug or look for a Nahimic service running in the Windows Task Manager to know if it's installed.
  5. @Fredz Faulkes Some things to try: If you have more than one monitor, see if SL will start on one. Unplug any additional monitors, and see if SL starts. Work through https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000056230/intel-nuc.html Try adding the SL viewer to Nahimic's BlackApps.dat list as mentioned in https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-227725
  6. Clearing your viewer's cache should fix this problem. Open Preferences with CTRL+P, or Me menu > Preferences. In Preferences, go to The Advanced tab & click the "Clear Cache" button. Then relog - the cache will be cleared on the next login. Does this fix your problem?
  7. This seems similar to https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-227725
  8. Please file a Bug at jira.secondlife.com and also attach a screenshot to the bug with the More > Attach files button.

  11. Thanks Flor. I see Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.1.1 was released on 1/21/2021. Can anyone else confirm this driver fixes the inverted colors?
  12. @ZuriHartleyCan you paste in the 2 lines for "Windows Graphics Driver Version:" and "OpenGL Version:" from Help > About Second Life ?
  13. I'd like to get more information about which video card driver(s) is affected. If you're seeing blue, please post the following 3 lines from your Help > About Second Life: Graphics Card: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics Windows Graphics Driver Version: 27.20.11044.7 OpenGL Version: 4.2.13596 Compatibility Profile Context 20.10.44 27.20.11044.7 (This is from https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-229727)
  14. Thank you for the update. Did you get a different card or just a newer graphics driver? I am curious to see what video card and driver combination is working for you. Could post the top few lines from Help > About Second Life? These lines: Second Life Release 6.4.11.551711 (64bit) Release Notes CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5930K CPU @ 3.50GHz (3497.98 MHz) Memory: 32680 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit (Build 19042.630) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1080/PCIe/SSE2 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 27.21.14.5148 OpenGL Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 451.48
  15. This sounds like an known issue https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-5852 "Projected light with high Ambiance setting causes textures containing transparency to render too dark." If you set the Ambiance value to 0 on the projector lights, it should work as expected. If it does not, please consider filing a Bug in Jira so we can take a closer look.
  16. Just a heads-up for those that are making EEP clouds, the cloud textures are currently rendered backwards - https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-228840. This will be fixed in an upcoming release.

  19. The part of the Second Life viewer that renders media in-world is only compatible with Windows 7 or later. The Second Life viewer uses CEF/Chromium for media integration and CEF/Chromium dropped support for Windows Vista. The viewer at the bottom of this page may still work on Vista, but no promises. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Alternate_Viewers#Obsolete_Platforms
  20. Hi Leander. The media_plugin_cef plugin is required for displaying Search, Profiles, Marketplace and other web pages within the Second Life viewer. It's possible a web page on a prim triggered this failure. If this error appears again, please file a bug in jira.secondlife.com and attach the SecondLife.log file. This page tells you where to find the logs folder: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-report-a-bug/ta-p/733545#Section_.3
  21. If you are experiencing this problem and haven't yet logged into Second Life since accepting the Terms of Service on the website, I'd like to ask for some help in finding the cause of this bug.
