I put in a cancellation request for several weeks now, and my account still exists. Why?

Question

I've been struggling financially, so I decided to cut Second Life out of my budget. Along with that decision, I also don't plan to return to Second Life and don't mind losing my inventory. I've already sent an account cancellation request, but after a week or so, it's still active. Does anyone know why? Do I need to contact linden lab or someone else to confirm it? I would like to know. Thank you.

If you a are a premium member,  your account is prepaid. If you cancel before the end of the period you have already paid for,  the account will simply be marked as Pending Downgrade. You will continue to have premium benefits until your time runs out.

to add,,, :)  you can reactivate your account... even deleted, at any time.
