TOS Not Allowing Me To Read It or Agree

Hello, I open SL and it gave me the usual "you need a new viewer" so I got it. When it opens they want me to read the new TOS but it has no text in the box. I also can not click "agree" button, (not lit up) nor the "continue". So the viewer will not allow me to login to SL.

I deleted the viewer and got a new from SL's official page as per support suggested, still no difference. I know it's not my anti-virus or firewall as they both allow EVERYTHING SL to open/work properly, (and always have).

Anyone out there have any ideas of how to fix this?

Try agreeing to it in your web backend account. Both work.

You do also need to scroll the entire thing on the viewer for the accept button to activate.

I'm always logged.out of my dashboard when I shut my browser so logging back in also brings up the ToS agreement popup.

That's not completely true. My alts didn't scroll and agreed just fine.  I am using FS but wouldn't think that makes a difference.

It did when I logged in my alt to check when it first appeared.  That was on the SL viewer.

Yeah well, you knows who's awesome? Chic Aeon is. that's who! It worked, as soon as the SL web page opened they asked me to accept tos, I did and boop, I could get back inworld. Thank you so much!

Hi Rowan, the text in the tos box wouldn't load so I couldn't scroll either, it was just blank, (I could and did use the cancel button tho). But you're right it is something not right in the SL viewer.

A few years ago something similar happened to me but the other way round; the TOS would not load in Firestorm, but it did load in the official viewer. So I think it's a veiwer issue. Maybe this time it loads in Firestorm better than it does in the official viewer.

I can't even find the ToS in the official viewer. Be neat to have Terms of Service under help menu?

I opened the viewer, clicked login and a little box opened in the middle saying I must accept tos automatically. So yeah I don't know where tos is in the viewer either, (that never happened before). Also there use to be a web page in the viewer's start page with SL destinations but I never see that any more either. The update recap window never loads either. I do have an old computer though, maybe that's why. As long as I can get inworld I'm ok.
