Is it a violation of the TOS in any way to ask a resident for their RL ID to prove their age?

What concrete proof does anyone actually have that any models or actors are of legal age?

Technically, all porn shot in the US in terms of legal age and actors giving consent falls under what are known as the 2257 Regulations, more formally known as 18 U.S.C. §2257. At a federal level, it requires that the primary producers, distributors, studios et al., maintain documented and complete records that confirm an actors legal age and willingness to be filmed in explicitly sexual scenarios, among many other details. These can be requested and inspected at any time by federal authorities without warrant, as it is a system of checks to ensure illegal things don't happen that all studios opted into and helped create.

Do they? Of course things still fall through the cracks, either through deliberate messing about or by mistake. How hard a studio/producer checks into an actors age, for example, will vary from studio to studio. The major ones will be really, umm, hardcore (see what I did?) about it because the penalty and stigma will be too much for them to properly manage and mitigate. So you can be 99.9% sure that the video from someone like Vixen is on the up and up. The smaller studios pushing the envelope of some of the nastier stuff? Fairly sure still. You don't really want the Feds on your door. All primary producers should also be displaying that statute and information on their site, btw.

But yeah, concrete proof (evidence, btw, not proof; proof only a valid term in math and logic) as in 100%? Nothing is 100% in life, and that field is no exception. Last big scandal re: age I can remember was Traci Lords back in the 80s, though something in the early 90s as well but name and details escape me.

Exactly what I was pointing out, but with much more detail!!! We have to accept the proof that is legally accepted.
