How can you do that?

You just wear the HUD and forget to take it off.  After all, you only need the HUD when you're changing outfits or fiddling with your alpha or whatever.  If you do all of that fiddly stuff before you leave home, it won't be adding to your complexity while you're out shopping.

a thing with some head and body HUDs is that animations/poses are included in an all-in-one HUD which encourages people to wear the HUD all the time

while all-in-one HUDs can be convenient for some users, I would like the makers to think about separating their animators into a separate HUD where they haven't already done so
