Went to do some shopping in the Marketplace this evening and noticed this... " Items and services purchased by United States users are sold by Linden Research, Inc. Items and services purchased by all other users are sold by Tilia Branch UK Ltd located at 11-12 St. James's Square, Suite 1, 3rd Floor, London, United Kingdom SW1Y 4LB." 

Is there information somewhere from LL on this?

ít's a bit vague but mentioned in the TOS

This agreement (the "Agreement" or the "Terms") describes the terms on which Linden Research, Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, including Tilia Inc. and Tilia Branch UK Ltd. (collectively, "Linden Lab") offer you access to its interactive entertainment products and services. ......

Payments made with payments instruments based outside of the United States will be charged by Tilia Branch UK Ltd., which is located at 11-12 St. James's Square, Suite 1, 3rd Floor, London, United Kingdom SW1Y 4LB.

I noticed that too.  The message seemed to appear around the time they were doing the maintainence.

Linden Lab has used a UK subsidiary for years.  For quite a while, ALL payments to LL went through them, and it caused a lot of problems with people's credit card companies denying payment because of fraud suspicions.

As you may notice, to fulfill legal obligations, we have added a notification in some places when making purchases that clarifies which legal entity you are transacting with, depending on the country associated with your payment method.  Tilia Inc. and Tilia Branch UK Ltd are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Linden Research, Inc, and this does not affect how you contact or receive support.
