Question

Desires Guests - Owner Master M and Miss Nese:

Group Information on 2016, 28 of June
Private VIP Group for Burning Desires.  Access to ALL play areas and slaves.  Members will also be able to attend special VIP only events! TIME membership fee.  Full time access 24/7.

membership costs: 1500L$

KarinSegundo Resident is a member but banned from this sims where VIP members should have access 24/7 as the group information say.

My issue with this is: being a full member of this group I am still banned from the land. Reason is never mentioned by the owners to me.

Asking for an explanation to the Owner: Master M:

According to Community Guidelines, you're not allowed to post names of companies, groups or individuals to this forum.

You need to remove all of that - you're breaking the rules and may see your content removed, and suffer penalties against your account.

To answer your "question": landowners can ban anyone for any reason. Some people are dumb, go to better places. You're not entitled to any kind of refund, or any kind of explanation. And... no Linden staff will read your message.

please remove all names from that message asap before you get reported for it you are in violation by publishing this. And risk more than just a ban from a group.

This looks like a resident to resident issue, LL will not get involved. If they don't respond there's nothing you can do. Take your loss and move on.

Not a great experience but things like this happen.

Quoting the scripture of the TOS here (Sect 4.8) with my added emphasis: "You may permit or deny other users to access your Virtual Land on terms determined by you."  A landowner can do anything she wants with her property as long as she isn't violating the TOS.  That includes ejecting or banning anyone at all.  No explanation or apology needed.

Freya is quite correct.

A landowner can ban anyone he likes from his land for any reason, or even for no reason at all.

A group owner can eject anyone she likes from her group, for any reason or for no reason at all.

Furthermore, I have to tell you that anyone who pays $L1500 for a group membership is being pretty foolish.  There are actually some scammers who create groups that charge huge joining fees for the sole purpose of scamming unwise people.  If you feel that this may be the case, you can submit an Abuse Report against the group owner by using the Help/Report Abuse link in your viewer.

Posting their names, and your dispute, here in this public forum will not produce any results and is actually liable to get YOU in trouble.  Posting IM logs without all parties' permission is also a Terms of Service violation.  I recommend deleting your post.

Dear Karin

You sent a whole load of individual messages to a dude that was offline. No wonder they threw you out of the group.

For the future you may need to consider the following.

1)   Before you jump to the conclusion that someone has banned you from their land or club or whatever, consider their land or club might be temporarily closed.  There might have been a group notice sent out. Always remember to check the group notices for announcements such as the likelihood of a closed venue.

2)  There are rolling restarts that happen during most weeks. Usually on Tuesdays, sometimes on other days though. And this can mean when you try to teleport to a venue or sim you are denied access.  Always it is wise to check the grid status page to see if this is a likelihood.

3)  If you need to contact a land owner or sim owner or venue owner, rather than bombard them with multiple IMs as you have done this particular land owner, write your plea or problem onto a notecard and send that to them instead. Be humble rather than confrontations.

It takes many kinds of people to make up a world.  My guess would be that the owner of the land that you thought you were banned from is as reasonable as the average Joe, but if they are Master of all they own, they will take even less kindly to your rants at them and throwing you from group without a refund would seem perfectly in order.

Go forward from this experience and learn something please.
