But there are two different fees associated with (modern) premium accounts:

The regular premium fee, which can be paid monthly, or quarterly, or yearly. It is cheaper if paid quarterly or yearly.

Tier, which must be paid every month, if you own more than 512 m2 of mainland.

It sounds like the poster bought mainland in addition to a Linden house (the Linden house counts as 512 m2). So suddenly monthly tier charges began... 

The other possibility is that the poster has or had one of those very old, very rare accounts that give you premium like status without paying any fee. Very few people have one of those accounts.

Your fees are not taken out of your Linden Dollar Balance.

This is a "cash only" transaction.

And LL does not institute a 'sell order' on your behalf.
