  1. First try waiting until the second week. I went then and the sims were almost empty. They also have "cam" sims, where you can get in more easily and cam to the shops you want to shop. Do join the Hair Fair demo group. You'll get almost all the demos as well notecards with the actual Slurl for the shops so you can map them and get a beacon to the shops you want to cam shop in.
  2. There is no specific place though you could try NCI. Basically, check the destination guide. Also look for groups in things you're interested in that have active chat. You'll get to know people just talking in the chats.
  3. Are you trying to use shoes/boots for a specific foot/body? A lot say Slink/Belleza/Maitreya, etc. If you are trying to wear one of those with the system feet, they won't work. Boots, you can find alphas or use one from other shoes that will alpha, ie make invisible, your system feet and you shouldn't have a problem with them. I usually take my mesh feet off when I put on boots.
  4. Kemono should have a developer kit. If you made the texture for the skin, you may be able to use the kit to make an applier for it.
  5. What viewer are you using? If you aren't using the standard SL viewer, try logging in on that one. Usually, that takes care of the problem. Then you should be able to log back in on the other viewer and have your inventory there. That usually fixes it for me.
  6. Open your listings info. It's where the arrow is pointing in this picture. https://gyazo.com/1fe011161e013cec5432d62c491d68b5
  7. The filters are odd. Still haven't figured out why one of my listings in my shop is mature. The wording isn't any different than any of the others. I did have a listing go to adult because I listed the sizing as XXS. Had to redo it as Extra XS to get it back to general.
  8. Imprudence hasn't been updated because they released a new viewer, Kokua.
  9. You actually can't and shouldn't compare SL to a regular video game. In a video game, like Call of Duty, all the textures are preloaded. In SL, greater than 95% of what you see is resident created and has to be loaded to your cache as you see it. Some creators don't make the best choices, like using a 1024 texture on something like a ring. Stuff like that takes more resources. But the better creators are more careful. The ARC isn't any different now than it was 3 months ago. We've just been made aware of it with a new shiny.
  10. You can't or at least shouldn't compare SL to a game like Call of Duty. They use all the same Textures that are optimized for the game. SL, however, has user created textures and items. Firestorm has their default set depending on the level you have your graphics. I have mine on high and the default is at 80K. I rarely wear jewelry but I wear various mesh bodies and heads. Unless I'm geared up for the place I RP in, my render rate is around 40K. When I put on my gun and melee my ARC jumps up to 60K. I did put on a pair of shoes today that added 10K complexity and it was just a few straps and the heel. I quickly took them off and deleted them. I have others similar at lower complexity. I've spent a lot of money over the years to get my avi the way I want it and I've kept my computer updated. I like the way I look. If someone has an older computer, jellydolls are a godsend for them since they can still play in SL without laggin because of rez time for them. Smiles....no ARC shaming here, please....
  11. Probably has to do with the script in the item. You're temporarily going to the 0,0,0 point on the sim you're on. Not really anything to worry about.
  12. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Viewer-managed-Marketplace/ta-p/2854226 Directions are there.
  13. Rhonda, there actually is a Bento viewer. It's on the experimental viewer page. Still not perfect but a beta release.
  14. use the router hud in the Omega kit and choose Eyebrow only. One point though, if that doesn't work, just make a copy of the Omega head makeup layer, apply the eyebrows, take that layer off then put on the other and apply the makeup the put the eyebrow back on. Some older Omega appliers don't respond to the router so that's the workaround
  15. Amethyst Jetaime wrote: One reason I decided against getting the Maitreya Mesh body was there weren't as many mesh clothes for it. I got SLink since there were more clothes available for it and I was also able to wear most of the standard size mesh clothes I already owned with it. So Maitreya lost a sale to me because they want to maintain such tight control. Maybe they are afraid some of low quality clothing being made for it, but IMO the market will decide that. They should take a lesson from PC vs. Mac. The reason PC's are so much more prevalent is the ease that companies were able to get the info they needed to develop them and the software vs. Mac. Exactly. TMP has fallen into that trap. They are so exclusive almost no one wants to design for them.
  16. Some of the bodies you can get the mesh developer kit fairly easily. Others with the more established bodies are more difficult. They chose to give the mesh kits to established shops rather than some just getting started. Belleza now has their weights for the updated bodies available
  17. Something that occured to me after watching some anime with my friend. These kind of outfits are frequently seen on "young"-ie 18-22 or so, male in those, especially the post apocalyptic type. That particular avi those clothes are for are frequently used for anime based avis, who tend to look younger anyway.
  18. When you attach an older prim ring, it's actually attaching to the underlying SL default avi, not the mesh. Since it's not rigged, it's going to move around like your default avi does. Take off your mesh and your alpha then watch the hands on your default avi. They move around a bit. The alpha just hides it.
  19. For what it's worth, the mesh have been retired and back to fairly decent starter avis that have the default avi with mesh clothing and hair. Here's what you do. Choose one of the regular avies. The Mesh say mesh after them, stay away from them. Drag the folder onto your avi. That should clear out everything. Don't add or replace. Just drag the folder and drop it onto your avi. Now you're fresh and can go from there.
  20. The pixel sex in the open in a moderate region you should have AR'd them. That activity is only allowed in the open in an adult region. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Maturity-ratings/ta-p/700119 For your friends, just tell them that unless they don't mind that activity, to keep their maturity rating at General and Moderate and they, unless someone is breaking the rules, shouldn't have a problem with activities.
  21. It probably has to do with this https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/Unscheduled-Billing-Maintenance/ba-p/3053321 since you have to choose premium or basic and it sets up your account with that billing info. Wait for the all clear and try again
  22. There is a segment in BDSM play know as femboi. The character is over 18 but is androgynous/feminine. The avi those are made for is aimed at the femboi community, not child avis. Pink Fuel even has the tat for the femboi to use with their skins to look a bit more masculine rather than like the Japanese anime meme of females with male parts (there's specific name for this type but the name escapes me at the moment).
  23. When a transaction fails, always check the grid status first https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/Unscheduled-Billing-Maintenance/ba-p/3053321?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+SecondLifeGridStatus+%28Second+Life+Grid+Status+Updates%29 and https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/RESOLVED-Unscheduled-Billing-Maintenance/ba-p/3053108 for yesterday. If, after the all clear is sounded, your transaction still hasn't processed, give them a call.
  24. Contact Slink Resident directly. She'll be able to help you.
