  1. The cloud form is an old problem. Usually the character test will get rid of it. From a previous post in the forums: Enable the Advanced menu in the top bar with CTRL+ALT+D. Then navigate to Advanced/Character/Character Rendering Tests/Test Female (or Test Male). That will give you the default newbie avatar. From there, put on your normal items one at a time. What viewer are using? I recommend Phoenix or Imprudence.
  2. Why don't you try Kuula? Search for it in places. You should only get three results. Teleport to the location with the most traffic. There are usually a few avatars there. If you're feeling a bit more adventurous, search for infohub and teleport to the heaviest trafficked ones. Be forewarned, some of the people can be a bit mischievous at infohubs and there is not much in the way of adult supervision.
  3. If the items have transfer permissions, have your previous avatar give them to your new avatar. Why don't you just use your previous avatar?
  4. What do you recommend visiting in Sansara? The Great Second Life Railway I know about and that is certainly worth a visit. What else do you suggest?
  5. What's your favorite mainland continent? I would think Hetorcera Atoll would be the favorite of many. It has several points of interest: The SL Railroad;The Great Wall; andHighest Mainland Peak; The main drawback of Hetorcera is that beach land has an unpleasant yellow color.
  6. That depends. If you're wearing a hud and the other avatar logs in wearing a hud, then yes. The other avatar's hud can send a signal to your hud so that you know the other avatar has logged in.
  7. I am trying to script an object to move a few meters on touch, but when I use: llSetPos(llGetPos()+<0,4,0>); it always moves in the same direction, no matter what the objects rotation is. However, I want it to move based on the objects rotation axis, i.e. depending on the direction its facing. What you're doing will always move the object along the y axis by 4 meters. I think you want something like this: vector dir = llRot2Left(llGetRot()); vector pos = llGetPos()+dir*4; llSetPos(pos); The foregoing should move the object along the object's y axis by 4 meters as oriented relative to the SL world.
  8. I have a piece in SL that I think is notewothy. It attempts to express the idea behind Andres Serrano's controversial photograph of a plastic crucifix in what appears to be a yellow liquid. If you would like to see my expression of this idea search for my name in the SL Marketplace. However, you must be logged in to see it because the work is rated as pertaining to mature subject matter. It is not the intent of my work to show hatred or disrespect toward any particular religious beliefs. The intent is to show that freedom of expression is even more important than religious beliefs. This is not a solicitation to sell copies of my work. If you would like a copy, I am happy to provide it to you for free.
  9. You can get a free racing sailboat in the SL Marketplace: the Elyd 50. Looks like it takes a crew of three. I have solo sailed it a little bit around the Ferry Terminal at Barbarossa. Seems to really move. Might be fun to get a crew together and race around Half Hitch from Barbarossa and back again.
  10. That's strange. Just delete the happy face. It's in the comments section. Any line precedecd by "//" is a comment and may be deleted.
  11. You don't need any script. Avatars can sit on the horizontal surface of a sofa. Typically though, builders will use a sit script to position the avatars. You don't necessarily need pose balls either. Pose balls are just there as a visual cue. But if you would like to use a pose ball, rezz a sphere and put this script in the pose ball and put it on your sofa: // CATEGORY:Poseball// DESCRIPTION:very basic poseball for sit// ARCHIVED BY:Ferd Frederixdefault{state_entry(){llSitTarget(<0.25,0.0,0.35>,<0,0,0,1>); // forward 0.25, up 0.35llSetSitText("sit");}}
  12. What are competing products selling at? I'm not familiar with gestures, so maybe your virtual goods are optimally priced. It may be however, that the the products are priced too high relative to competitors or that there is not a lot of demand for gestures. Perhaps you could initially experiment with the pricing and see if there some price point at which your products sell best.
  13. I did Spanish for you. How much do I get? Entrenamiento Canino Perros Salud Los perros de caza Los perros de la Guardia Protección Personal Alojamiento Web El artículo de escritura Volver Vinculación
  14. I've never advertised in-world. I don't think it would be very effective. Most places don't seem to have much traffic. Where were you thinking of advertising? MGK has a lot of billboards and so does Rez Ads.
  15. WhiteBoi360 wrote: Thanks. But I mean, what should I set the resolution setting to in photoshop? And what about pics for actual use in-game? Concerning Photoshop, I've never used it so I don't know what resolution would be best. What do you mean by actual use in-game? You want to put the image on a cube containing the gesture? I don't do that either. For my items, I typically use a crate texture and mark the cube with hover text.
  16. I believe the photos need to be at least 512 x 512. I just made your photo a little larger and put in the markeplace here https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Sailboat/2251656 (zoom the images and look at the last one - that is your gesture image).
  17. Looks like to me it says egg crackers [ たまごせんべい ].
  18. Where do you think the Donald Trump of SL got her initial capital? I heard it was in escorting.
  19. The broken up icon in you invetory means that the pieces are not all attached. So when you rezz it and move it, you have to be careful to select all of the parts or some will get left behind as happened in this situation. To fix the door, just select it (right click and choose edit) and adjust its position to where you want it to be. Use the arrows to adust its location. You may also need to rotate it (check the choice that says rotate under the object tab when you are editing the door or hold down the control key when you're editing the door). Edit: what the previous poster said. The door was not linked to the rest of the house, so when you moved the house, the door was left behind.
  20. The function is llDie(). See http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlDie for this example script, which counts down from 5 to 1 and then deletes the object that it is in: //Counts down from 5 to 1, then diesdefault{ state_entry() { integer olf; for(olf = 5; olf > 0; --olf) llSay(0, (string)olf); llDie(); }}
  21. That is a couple of interesting posts. The first does not provide enough information, and the second provides too much. A few questions. First, why live in Washington state if your husband is Australian? I would head for Australia. It sounds much more pleasant. Second how is it that your friends list is not already very long? I routinely get random friend requests and I'm a dude. I would expect that as a lady you get many more, plus unsolicited teleport requests to a guy's bunker humper where he has already made himself quite comfortable. I don't think adding more people to your chat-with-you-once-and-never-see-you-again list is going to be fulfilling. Are you a member of any groups? NCI seems to be the most active.
  22. I think what you want to use is llStartAnimation. For a couple of example scripts, see http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlStartAnimation
  23. No creo que sea posible. Linden Labs ha cambiado el proceso de registro para eliminar los apellidos. Todoslos nuevos residentes de un apellido. Que lastima.
  24. The one woman that has loved me all my life for better and for worse, through good times and bad. I call her Mom.
  25. You're question is a bit broad. Can you narrow it down? Are you intending to buy the sim to earn a profit? How do plan to earn the profit? By renting parcels out?
