  1. I finally got around to checking out Utopia after reading this thread - and I'm impressed!
  2. I'd suggest checking out BadAzz. They've just launched a male skin. I think the face looks great. The body's muscles are a little over emphasised for me. Biut each to his own. Well worth a look. If you're prepared to splash the cash, I'd also suggest taking a look at Sophistishapes. You buy the shape and receive a notecard to enable you to buy the skin, hairs, eyes, etc. to achieve the look that the shape compliments.
  3. It's perhaps worth pointing out that if you're a premium member you can get your 512 in the form of a Linden Home. The building which is the home doesn't count against your prim allocation leaving you with the full 117 prims still to use.
  4. Thanks Val! I forgot to add to my earlier post that those pics are very much just to be taken as examples. The places mentioned tend to offer quite a choice in terms of collar styles, neck-tie styles and colours, and waist coat colours. This thread reminds me that I need to take a pic of me in my Aoharu suit that I acquired following a recommendation in this forum. Even if I say so myself, I look very dapper when wearing that!
  5. I love dressing up in formal suits. In addition to the places mentioned, I'd recommend that you also check out: SF Designs (see below by way of example) Gabriel (see below by way of example) Aoharu Styles of Edo (see below by way of example) Hoorenbeek Of all those listed, the suits I have from Gabriel are perhaps my favourites, in particular because of the way in which the jackets hang and lining of the jackets. Come back and post a pic for us when you've made your choice.
  6. I'd just like to say to all you old girls out there who find that you've crossed Nike's fine line - "Don't despair!" If you'd care to send me a RL pic and I consider that you've retained your looks, I might be prepared to add you to my friends' list notwithstanding the age issue. :matte-motes-sarcasm:
  7. Hasn't the relative scale debate been resolved yet?! You do all realise that whether my little man boobs are an A-cup or a B-cup turns upon the outcome, don't you?
  8. Whilst you make fair points, Penny, there is no escaping the fact that in SL, notwithstanding avatar height, doorways have to be wider and ceilings have to to be considerably higher than in RL to allow for ease of movement and, in particular, movement of the trailing camera. From this it follows that other objects also have to be larger than in RL in order to give the impression of filling the space between floor and roof. Further, it's impossible now to turn back the clock. Objects have to be created and animations made to accommodate the majority of avatars who are oversized. In truth it would perhaps be best if the SL metre was formally "devalued" against its RL counterpart. The way SL has developed over the years means that it's not now credible to argue that a SL metre is the equivalent of a RL metre.
  9. Tsch - it seems that my inability to add a little bounce to my little man boobies is going to impact adversely on the launch of my career as SL's first bearded, dwarf, shemale lap-dancer.
  10. It may, I guess, be some incompatability between the latest V2 and V1 TPVs, as I'm using Kirstens S21 (so in effect an up to date V2). However, seeing as I think V1 TPVs are now long past their sell by date, I'll learn to be proud of my boobies so as to make a point (or 2, as the case may be)!
  11. I'm not sure my new look is down either to my own viewer or the viewers of those seeing me. My impression is that it's some sim servers struggling to process and transmit data in much the same way that they struggled to process and transmit display names when they were first introduced and many of us saw "????".
  12. Not only a dwarf shemale, Majestic, but one with a beard and body hair too! SL being SL, I'm assuming there's a market for my new look.
  13. Over the last 2 or 3 weeks I find that I'm frequently being told that I appear dwarfed and have sprouted little boobies. On occasions, I'm sent pics to prove this. Should I celebrate and embrace my mixed sexuality by using avatar physics to give my little boobies some bounce?
  14. Ahhh - so my suspicion of confidence trickery is perhaps misplaced then. I hope that's so. I've now noticed, rather oddly, that his forum profile bears a creation date later than the date of his first postings and his last time of logging onto the forums. It seems forum stats are somewhat unreliable and confusing!
  15. I notice that the creator of this thread, James Tasman, records a post count of nil despite his several postings here. Does this indicate that his account might have been closed? I hope that in alerting us all to this potential scam, and then apparently verifying for our benefit that it was not a scam but a legitimate "new system", James Tasman was not himself party to a scam directed at grabbing SL usernames and passwords. If my hope is ill-founded, and the creation of this thread is, indeed, part of a scam, then it seems to me that the whole thread should be deleted forthwith so that no-one is taken in thereby.
  16. Wow - this thread has been an enjoyable read! Initially, I was tempted to respond in a light-hearted manner, but then I read Rhonda's post. Having read Rhonda's post, I would just like to say that I think her advice perfect and I struggle to see how her suggested approach could be improved upon. That approach will, however, take practice to carry off and so don't despair if you find it hard at first. I think that in due course you'll know you're saying the right things and asking the right type of question when you have her responding with comments like: "You'll perhaps hate me for saying this, but you're so sweet" "I don't know what it is about you that makes me open up so much"
  17. If the letter is for real, then for the purposes of buying L$ I see no problem in providing the verification "password" if requested by your card issuer and don't really understand why anyone would want to "bypass" this sensible security measure. However, I foresee serious issues arising if it transpires that verification is in future required in respect of automated payments such as tier and premium membership. If those payments are initially declined without verification, what happens to the status of your account or landholdings if you're, say, on holiday and unable to make the payments manually within a day or so or even a week?
  18. This issue does seem very prevalent right now. I even saw a male Linden a couple of days ago who had been "infected". If I'm told I'm dwarfed (which usually also causes my avatar to be "enhanced" with a pair of manboobs), relogging usally cures it. The bug doesn't seem to discriminate between viewers used. Users of any viewer seem able to fall victim.
  19. Marlette Whilst I stand to be corrected, I'm pretty sure you'd be welcome at the Wild Coast Naturist Resort regardless of skin colouring. I know fairy wings not to be an issue there.
  20. Thanks Suella. I'm running Kirstens S21 RC7 which should be the same as the V2 viewer in respect of avatar physics. I will have another look when I next log in, although I can't imagine that it's a feature I'll use save, possibly, for a laugh. The principal male anatomical feature which might perhaps benefit from reacting to the pull of gravity obviously isn't catered for.
  21. I have an additional question. I'm running a viewer with avatar physics and yet cannot find the function. Is it the case that it's particular to the female body shape? Is it a "no no" for male avatars to wobble, ripple and sway?
  22. Easter weekend is here and that means it's that time of year to inflict "bunny boy" on the poor residents of SL!
  23. Be more positive, Valedric! Self-confidence is an attractive quality whether misplaced or otherwise! Over my time in SL I've met lots of nice and pleasant women in SL bars and other social locations. Stand back at first and listen to the local chat, get a feel for the personalities of those present and then contribute. May be follow up your local chat contribution with an IM saying that you found what a particular contributor said interesting or that you share similar views etc. If nothing comes of it, so be it. I doubt anyone receiving such an IM is going to jump down your throat. On the contrary, in my experience the typical SL woman will be only too glad to receive an IM which doesn't make some shallow comment about appearance or ask for sex. Just let the amount you chat with a particular person build up over time. Take things slowly. Make getting to know someone rather than a relationship your aim, and then see where things lead.
