  1. Hi Dillon Had to check my inventory for my eye details: Sensitive Eyes - No. 8 - by Nany Merlin Purchased at Soul Skin
  2. I've always tended to think blue/green works best in SL.
  3. It sounds like a nonsensical form of communism described in that way. Save for seeing a case for restricting access to functions in a person's first week or so in SL (a sort of probationary period), I see no case for anyone being restricted in any way thereafter. Most certainly given the amount of real money I pass across the palms of LL each month I'd be annoyed if I didn't have access to all functions available in SL.
  4. It's great to see so many different styles and themes. The facades of the Tudor Hotel and the railway station appearing above are fantastic.
  5. I'd not thought of it Jugendstil. I had been working on the footing that the ground floor was principally to appear French 19th/early 20th century and the upper floor Moroccan of indeterminate vintage! To be fair, I think SL is better lived outdoors (I love the nature sounds, trees, water/wave effects and birds) and it's the landscaping outside of the main house that is taking me so long to complete.
  6. Thanks Mags. However, I just buy and place objects. The creativity rests with others!
  7. My place has been a work in progress for 6 months now. I need to pull my finger out.
  8. Yes - it could be displayed but based on what inworld criteria? People contribute inworld in so many varied ways. And to what end? Benefits or powers of some kind? SL is full egos (many overly inflated) and the acquisition of rank (whether deservedly or fortuitously) does not bear thinking about.
  9. How on earth could a similar ranking system be operated inworld? The mind boggles.
  10. My own experience is that inclusion can lead to an influx of misbehaving noobs.
  11. I can see that some people might have sufficient training to justify being advisors or moderators but there are some (by no means all) people with the rank "member" whose views are not worth the pixels with which they're enunciated.
  12. I remain to be convinced that the rankings are to be welcomed or serve any purpose other than to raise the egos (in some instances already overly-inflated) of those who rise up through them.
  13. Thanks Mabb. I have seen the JIRA previously. It's been outstanding for months now. I don't understand why if the problem is widespread that an issue which affects so many people (especially men) on a day in day out basis hasn't been resolved after such a long time.
  14. It seems more fundamental than a mistake on the part of the wearer, Venus. Even when pants come with prim attachments they will still often have some "give" in them to give a looser fit effect. I don't see the looser fit effect with the result that prim turn ups, for example, often appear some distance removed from or too big for the pant bottom.
  15. Using Kirstensviewer (now S21) which is V2 based, I've been seeing "tight pant syndrome" on other avatars for several months now. My own avatar doesn't appear to me to suffer from this affliction, although I assume others see me in tight pants. Obviously the affects of this syndrome can be alleviated by wearing pants with prim cuffs/flares. I've a number of questions. Do all viewers suffer from seeing tight pants? Is the fact that you appear to others as having tight pants dependent on the viewer you use? Can I change my viewer settings in some way so that I no longer see tight pants on other avatars? I've raised tight pants in passing in other threads previously. However, my comments have never generated any significant response. This might lead me to assume that I am in a minority in seeing this problem. However, I doubt that to be the case. As matters stand I think it a shame that one can't wear pants without prim cuffs/flares without appearing ridiculous to others.
  16. I'm disappointed not to find myself entitled "Lurker"
  17. The pic is as near as dammit 1:1 but then downloaded as a badge to "small". The pic seems to have been trimmed a little on the right hand side though.
  18. How do I get rid of the white info box on my badge like most others seem to have managed to do?
  19. So this is the new General Discussion, eh?
