  1. Many thanks for all this, Marianne! (I had tried resizing via Stretch first - will take a closer look.) UPDATE: That's really odd - I'd tried re-sizing the lamp via Stretch twice, with no result when I first rezzed it. Then, as I'd mentioned, added a resizer script with no success either, so removed the script. Just went back to the same copy rezzed in my photo and there was no problem resizing it via Stretch at all! And I've adjusted the strength and color of the light - very pleased!!!
  2. I tried to resize the lamp, even tried with a resizer script, but nothing happened How did you manage to do it? (I bought the green background lamp - maybe they have different settings.)
  3. A favorite of mine - the pastel version of Zerkalo's Calcutta sofa is on sale again. 8 LI, $75 for PG or A. (I think only the PG version has been on sale previously.)
  4. These 3 LI lamps are on sale for $75 each at Midwest. There weren't any demo models, at least not in the immediate vicinity, but I decided to take a chance. While the light is too harsh for me, I like the way it looks (for now), even though it's replacing a 2 LI lamp in my Victorian bedroom.
  5. I like these chairs at Bricolage... but they are 10 LI each. Still, if you can find the spare LI, they're $75 each, PG or A, 3 texture-change options for the pillow and several color options for the throw. The table with decor, rug and framed art is also $75. [I noticed the Physics Shape Type was set to Prim, so bought the chair and changed it to Convex Hull - alas, the LI remained at 10 )
  6. Now this is cute - a 1 LI stereo unit with 10 dance animations (including the Time Warp, shown below) - just $75 this weekend at Home Style. And this 5 LI console table with all linked decor items is also $75. (Looks like you get unlinked decor items as well.)
  7. This 11 LI autumn scene from TM Creations has couples animations. $60 PG, $75 A. Also on sale is this 11 LI rustic swing, with singles and couples animations - $60 PG, $75 A.
  8. De Casa is offering another 2 LI sideboard (with some decor items that are 1 LI each) for $75.
  9. Free sleeping corgis (all 4 colors), 1 LI each at Jian.
  10. On sale at Nutmeg - 7 and 11 LI versions of the fireplace included, pumpkin crate 4 LI, $60.
  11. This 9 LI futon-sofa from Chez Moi, also at Cosmopolitan, would really suit a Sakura home! All colors included, PG $360, A $559.
  12. I love these pieces by Insurrektion at Cosmopolitan, but they are higher LI than I can use right now. The wardrobe is 14 LI and $300 and the dresser is 5 LI and $200, or you could buy both for $400. (Note: the wardobe doors open.)
  13. I'm not biased against non-sale items (I have and am currently using 3 rather pricey kitchens, from Hive and DRD, and have bought lots of non-sale stuff from other creators), but as your post lacked some of the info usually included in this thread, and I was interested, I thought it worth checking out. Personally, I consider 18 LI good for a kitchen, it's the peripherals that I thought were overly heavy as I've seen alternatives that looked just as good or better for fewer LI. And the cost was certainly worth mentioning as the majority of items here *are* sale items and people might reasonably assume, as I did, that this kitchen was as well.
  14. The structural bits are linked and total 18 LI; the decor inside the fridge is 8 LI and various other bits are very high LI (each turkey is 5 LI, the stuff in the sink is 7 LI, frying pan is 3 LI...) so it would be best to use decor from elsewhere. But... PG is $758 and A is $1250. No bargains to be found here!
  15. On sale at Jian this weekend for the Secret Sale - hedgehogs! $50 for the ones on the left, $50 for the ones on the right.
  16. This 7 LI sofa is on sale at Black.Sand. For $60 (a bit less if you wear a group tag) you get PG and A sofas in all 3 colors. No texture change options, but you can tint the lighter bits.
  17. THS - The Home Store has another fountain on sale this weekend. The Relax Fountain with sparrows is 13 LI and $75. But, I've unlinked it, removed the urn at the top, a couple of the birds, a branch, one bit of ivy and the butterflies and been able to reduce that to 8 LI. (I managed to keep the water sounds, but lost the bird sounds. As it's Copy/Mod it's easy to experiment.) Other autumnal items are on sale as well.
  18. Unfortunately, it's not possible to unlink that grouping of 3 frames
  19. At Insurrektion - some sale items and a new, pricier item. The Grandma Kitchen Plate Rack is 4 LI and $200. (Billed as an exclusive for Farmer's Market.) Nice texture on the porcelain pieces, and texture-change options for the wood and the textiles. The 2 LI spice rack is $80. There's also a mixed bag of items, pricewise: the 3 LI wicker chair (A) is available for $75 at another location (don't buy it from the photo, which will charge you the full price of $499); the 3 LI wicker hanging lamp *will* be on sale next Tuesday for $25; the small 3 LI wicker table is on sale for $30. Oddest of all, the 2 LI tea set is on sale for either $60 or $75, as it's being offered as part of two different weekend sales. If you're interested, make sure you buy it from the SL Home Decor poster!
  20. If Nutmeg's entryway bench is too big for you, take a look at the one on offer at De Casa - 3 LI but it is decor only, $65. (PS - In case anyone's wondering, no, this can't be unlinked )
  21. Available NOW for Trompe SuperFans - each set only $50 with a group tag! I haven't stopped by Trompe in a while so I don't know how long these sets have been available for this price - if you're interested, don't delay! (Quite heavy LI, but the smaller pieces make it worth spending $50.)
  22. On sale at Nutmeg this weekend: the coat rack/bench is 8 LI and $75 with texture options for the jacket and maybe the leash. The garden clutter is $60 - wellies 1 LI, watering can 1 LI, apples 2 LI.
  23. I would think that the reasons for not pursuing the idea of 'skybox' homes, or underwater homes for that matter, are logistical rather than to do with anyone's 'vision', problems with parcel boundaries among them. (I believe that Abnor discussed a different set of logistical reasons for not providing an urban, brownstone-type theme a while ago.) As to the Fantasy theme's entry point, seems to me that's entirely in keeping with the theme!
  24. There's a Vic on the LP right now. (Vic *and* Trad on the LP for the last 5 minutes.)
