  1. You are not alone. This thread could help - It will, at least, give you a good place to start. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Your-Avatar/AVATAR-keeps-on-rezzing-and-de-rezzing/td-p/1142069 and another http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Your-Avatar/AVATAR-keeps-on-rezzing-and-de-rezzing/td-p/1142069
  2. According to George Orwell... Yes. Some animals ARE more equal than others.
  3. Where were you when you tried to rez these items? You must be in an area that allows rezzing. Most people locate a 'sandbox' and rez their items there. If this is not the issue, let us know what else you need.

Similarly, residents are not paid workers, and the suggestion to temporarily halt their own voluntary efforts in a show of support is not deserving of punishment. It my firm belief that silencing these statements sends the message that LL considers resident helpers as an unpaid workforce, which are only tolerated so long as they fulfill the express purpose of easing LL's burden of providing support to residents. This is not a message I can support. I am not seeking an apology, or even a reason, but rather a change. I also hope that a change is made. Thank you, Void, for putting words to how I was feeling when I found out that thread was pulled. I received the exact same letter with 'flaming' as the reason even though that was never the intent. Since it was posted as I was leaving, I never knew what responses were given. You have been helping the residents of SL for much longer than I've even been logging in and your reputation precedes you. THAT is the kind of help that you can not hire. It comes from a willingness to give up a small amount of your time just to give back to something you believe in while expecting nothing in return. There are countless scripters out there who you have advised and I hope you continue to help. Your experience is invaluable. Thanks, Cinn

  6. /me smiles... Your answers/responses will be greatly missed, Venus (even if you don't respond to this). Enjoy your vacation! Cinn
  7. It is a little odd that one group has been singled out to get extra attention. Everyone else had to find the forums, find the role-play section and post themselves if they wanted people to join their roleplay. Does anyone know if this is just a temporary sub-forum? Maybe next month they will focus on a different sub-culture within SL? Temporarily drumming up a little support could be a good idea as long as it is done fairly and not just to advertise certain merchants or products. It was created to increase roleplay interest, right? Cinn and now Cato is permabanned too?
  8. *sighs* I work entirely too much, but having the late night munchies I made peanut butter power balls... Go ahead giggle at the name, but they are good. Some are rolled in coconut flakes, some are dipped in dark chocolate, some rolled in powdered sugar and the special ones I made just for Maddy were first rolled in motor oil and then fresh clean kitty litter (to give them the proper crunch.) Enjoy and late-night/early-morning hugs to all:
  9. Eye of newt, and toe of frog Wool of bat, and tongue of dog Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing For a charm of powerful trouble Like a hell-broth boil and bubble Who's hungry? Happy Halloween to all my friends (even the ones I haven't met yet)
  10. Vampire: Anne Maundrell Known in some parts of the world as "Haunt of Gypsies" - A traveler of travelers, of good humor, but dangerous. Fairy: Nettle Icewand She protects the vulnerable and brings justice to the wronged. She lives in brambles and blackberry bushes. She is only seen when the seer holds a four-leafed clover. She wears purple and green like berries and leaves and has icy blue butterfly wings. Mermaid: (cats in water? Okay, I guess some of the bigger cats like water) Green Shore Cat (viridans litoreus) Has brown hair and a vivid green tail. The hair and dorsal fin offer good disguise in weed beds. A friendly variety, fond of children, often seen playing with swimmers in the shallows, though one should always exercise caution due to its unpredictable nature. Note: Curious, lively and fond of play, this subspecies has many cat-like qualities. Witch: (YEAH!!!! I love this one) Angelica Cockroachtickler She tickles cats and she likes to eat your leftovers! She is covered in warts and carbuncles!

( I do have a TV, it is a bit dusty and is currently just used to hold a potted plant, but I DO have one) "heehee heehee... She said butt" Oh - and this will not impact my SL at all (there, now it has to do with SL) On a side note, I used to like watching music videos. It is too bad Music Television no longer plays music on television.
  12. I liked this one (and you can get it with and without pubic hair) I am sure you can find your own polyester suit and curled blue hair. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/MaranDesigns-skins-Skin-shape-grandma/247671
  13. Hippie is always positive, encouraging and generous. A true asset to the forums and SL, he is one of the first to say 'hi' to the newbies and offer lessons or help in-world. (((hugs))) from the opposite coast, Hippie!!!
  14. YYAAYY!!! @ Val - Mad is right! There are some amazing creations in that store. I just can't decide what I like best. The chocolate dress is nice, the meat dress made me laugh. @ Storm - We all value your eye for fashion and judging by your badge picture, it is sorely needed by us all. Your points are still redeemable and have no expiration date. @ Sylvia - I can dress up if I HAVE to. I have been told I clean up well... Let me dig down deep into my inventory and dredge up something more formal and we can both wear our newly fitted hats and hairs. @ Jesica - 100 pts - That is amazing. I was not aware there was animated hair. Does it work in regions where you can't run scripts? I will have to look into how to drop the script into a different hat and double check that I am buying mod items. Awesome! @ Keli - I will check the hairs I have to see if I can use bits and pieces in other styles. I do tend to wear the same hair colors most of the time. Now I have even more reasons to check if things are mod. @ Venus - I am sure at times that may be the case. I try to keep attachments to a minimum, but I almost always have an AO attached. Next time I am missing a boot (a wardrobe malfunction I can handle) I will try tp'ing lighter. @ Love - The maitreya hair I have now is similar. I will give the store another visit. I love that longer style and the hat is cute for summer! @ Dee - 200 pts - I need a hippiestock hat! Cute! At some point (sooner than later) I have got to spend a little more time playing with all the editing menus. I have never looked into linking and unlinking. I like the idea of making a single item from a hair and a hat that didn't come together so I have more flexibility. @ Maryanne - 50 pts - Because you dress yourself like I do (with a minimum of effort) Both hats look good and that tiny bit if hair pithing you off in the picture isn't really that noticeable. @ kattatonia - 1000 pts. (but you have to share them with Marianne Little) That was some great information and one of the best answers (next to Storm's idea of just going bald). Now that I am making sure I have modify rights on my clothing and accessories, I hope it will get easier to put together a few combos that work. It looks easy and I like the idea of using a hair that is already made for a hat. Thanks for pointing out that thread!!!! *All points can be redeemed in-world for a dance at your favorite venue or a kind word when you are feeling down. The choice is yours.
  15. I promised to hand out points... @ Chelsea - 50 pts. - it was a great suggestion and the hat looks awesome - it is too bad they are no longer around @ Sylvia - 50pts - PITA is right - this could take some time and several copies to get right @ Dillon - 60 pts - the bob is a good suggestion and it looks nice with the hat you have on. I may give this a try with a few demos @ Ceera - I was tempted to take away points because of the sad news, but I won't shoot the messenger - 40 pts - for reminding me to make copies before I mess with the editing. @ Griffin - 50 pts - I may not buy very many hats if I have to adjust a hairstyle for each one, but some hats are just too good to pass up. I can forgive a few fly-away hairs when I move. @ Ellyn - 50 pts - You reminded me of a nice smooth maitreya (sp) hair I already have. I am going to give it a try. The low ponytail seems to be harder to find than I thought. @ Love - 60 pts - I am going to try a demo of that hair to see if the bun is low enough - looks great on you! @ Sylvia(again) - 1,000,000 pts - What? I'm a girl... Sympathy with my hair plight goes a long way. @ Storm - 100 pts - for reminding me of just how sexy bald can be (I hate to say it, but that IS the perfect solution to my hair sticking through my hats) @ Kelli - 60 pts - I had thought of the hairbase and even found some bangs (hair not included - LOL) on the marketplace. I am going to try in-world for more options. I did not see where you could get just a ponytail or bun attachment without the entire hair. Is that possible? @ Venus - 60 pts - I will have to try that one. It seems way easier than trying to move a bunch of individual hairs. The only draw back would be hoping my hat makes the tp with me. Yesterday every time I tp'd I was missing my left boot when I arrived. @ Val - 50 pts - I will put it on my fieldtrip list. I am always up for something creative and mad!!! Would you send a landmark my way? *All points can be redeemed in-world for a dance at your favorite venue or a kind word when you are feeling down. The choice is yours.
  16. Thanks to all of you. I have seen the hair/hat combos in a few stores. Of course, they look great and I even have one or two. I was hoping for more flexibility in choosing hats - there are so many great looking ones to choose from. /me stretches, cracks knuckles and takes a deep breath I will attempt the editing of individual hairs. If it looks okay, maybe it will end up in the vanity thread... Kisses, Cinn

  18. I know almost everyone here is a hair collector. Does anyone have any suggestions for hair that can be worn with a hat or hood? I have the worst time trying to keep my hair from poking out of anything I put on my head. Bonus points if that hair doesn't have a high rendering cost and more bonus points if you can suggest a longer hair style. Thanks! Cinn
  19. Knowl Paine wrote: If Given a free Region; would you want it? What would you do with it? Can you think of any reasons why you should get a free Region? I would accept a region if it was offered. Do I deserve one? Probably not, but it would be fun to have an area big enough to really play in. I wouldn't have to pick up my toys, I could spend a few months building the perfect forest, then wipe it out and spend a few months building the perfect desert or city or alien planet. Would this free land come with a private tutor to teach me all the tips and tricks I would need to know? Why should I get one? Just because I want to learn and create - even if I know I will destroy it and start over again. I don't have one either and many are not being used by anyone anyway I agree with the privacy part - not everyone needs to witness my learning curve
  20. Maddy - Loooooove Shel Silverstein!!!! We have most of his children's poetry memorized in this house (his adult stuff is fun, too) I still feel the need to cry like a sap if I read The Giving Tree (pun intended). Sylvia - I had no idea that poem was about you, but if Maddy is deepfrying some of the mess, I request some deep fried icky, sticky bubblegum. /me stokes the fire and sharpens the roasting sticks hoping that someone remembers to bring marshmallows for dessert... HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE
  21. Oooohhhhh!!! Beautiful autumn pictures everyone! Here is where I was this weekend: And this is who I went with (the 2 on the right with silly expressions and the inability to focus are mine, the 2 on the left I am dog-sitting) :
  22. Very nice badge, Dazler. The theme is perfect for your elfish avatar and I personally like that you can see your name over the top of it. So many are impossible to read a name on without highlighting it. Nice job. I also used that same thread when I first started using this new forum software. It would have taken forever to figure it out without that tutorial. Cinn
  23. Aww... Big hugs for Lillie. Extra strength and positive thoughts are beaming your way. I hope your family is pulling together at this time. Cinn P.S. I miss seeing all you guys in-world and miss my SL... Darn RL is taking up too much time lately.
