Those sim crossings are the WORST.

Tough day at the track yesterday after some technical issues with my laptop kept me from being competitive; today it's time to unwind on the water.

I was able to get logged in finally, at the region where my parcel is at (Fivepenny). But I wasn't able to log into the spot where my marina rental is. So now me and the neighbors are just kinda standing around wondering if we should do anything at all, or just keep standing here.

I have to admit, today I'm just kind of looking...disconnected from the world.

There's some that are good for driving, some that are good for show. I can give you the info if you ever want to know where to get 'em.

One of the groups I race with in SL released some car updates over the weekend; time to start thinking about test runs to get a handle on the new vehicle physics so I don't make a fool of myself next time I show up for a race

So I have spent the last few days helping some old friends get reacquainted with SL. Since I recently went through the process of the mesh head upgrade, they turned to me for advice. Because they were both apparently sitting on piles of unused money, they immediately went for the Bento heads at catwa. This turned into a comedy of errors as I attempted to explain to them how everything worked and confusion reigned supreme. We eventually got them sorted out though, and I'm sure they will be burning their way through lindens in no time. Not wanting me to be left out, and as a thank you for my assistance, one of the ladies decided to foot the bill to upgrade me to Bento as well. So I tucked away the basic Paul look, and now I will be tweaking Daniel for who knows how long.

Nice chair BTW, my friend and I visited a place you might know. Ever been there?

The best friends I've made in SL, I made when I wasn't even trying. Much like real life, when it "just happens", that's when it happens best. I know that doesn't sound like a good answer to the situation, but just being in-world and being willing to meet and talk to people that you randomly run into leads to eventual success. You or anyone from the forums here are welcome to track me down; if I'm on and at the keyboard I'm almost always up for a chat, or for hanging out somewhere if I'm not busy. Also - IM'd you in-world.

Not a complexity issue, but a friend of mine who's been away for some time recently asked me if I could help her figure out why areas with script memory meters were booting her out. She came in at 277 scripts, 5.8MB memory use. I brought her over to my place and rezzed my own script counter and we went through her stuff one by one as she was wearing all classic items. Turned out to be the shoes - her heels accounted 267 of the 277 scripts shown by the counter, and without them she was sitting at a mere 10 scripts. I told her it was time for some shoe shopping.
