  1. Maybe you were banned maybe not. First try clearing your cache and relog. If that doesn't work then Log off, shut computer off, disconnect the power off your router, then disconnect the power off your modem, all in that order. Wait 2 minutes and then turn everything back on in the reverse order.
  2. First thing you need to do is change your password. Then clear your cache and log off, relog but select your login location to Pooley. After you log in allow your inventory to fully load.
  3. Did you read my response to your similar post from yesterday? Was your original account from the Teen Grid? if so that may be the reason you were unable to log in with it, also the reason why you cannot find any of your old friends. Teen Grid was closed a few months ago. Any accounts from people who are younger than 16 have been put on hold until the person turns 16.
  4. I am not aware of such a feature that will allow the windows to stay where you have put them, they will revert back to the sidebar each time you log in. This is why I prefer Kirsten's Viewer and I haven't played much with Firestorm to remember what they have done to alleviate this nuisance.
  5. There are no Lindens here so I doubt one will "look into it" though once in a while they do lurk the forums. What exactly is the error message you are getting when trying to log in?
  6. You cannot post in content because you are using IE 9, you need to turn on compatibility mode so you can post.
  7. Out of curiousity, was your friend's and your old account from the Teen Grid? Judging from your pic I'm guessing that is the case? If so, Teen Grid accounts that are not yet 16+ are on hold until the person turns 16.
  8. If you know the name use the "forgot password" thing on the login screen of this website. Then just check all your email addresses till you find the one where they sent you the password.
  9. Still I suggest you do a virus scan. Only reason registry gets corrupted is due to viruses (most times).
  10. Glad to hear you got it fixed. And welcome back to SL.
  11. Also, once you have fixed your registry problem make sure you do a deep virus scan. Also if your anti-virus software allows you to run a scan while booting on safe mode do that. Clean any viruses you may have and then also install a good firewall program, and a good anti-virus. Windows Firewall and windows defender are not enough, also if you have Norton ditch that and get a better one.
  12. So as I suspected last night, you have a corrupted registry. You are screwed You can try this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549 Good Luck!
  13. I never install official LL viewers as I find them to be always unstable so I cannot tell you whether or not they are clearly labeled. Try downloading a TPV like Phoenix or Dolphin Viewer 2, those will be clearly labeled on the download pages. You can google them.
  14. Ok, make sure you are installing the 64-bit version of the viewer first of all.
  15. At the top of that window you must select "Select All" then it will highlight everything then you can copy and paste it on here.
  16. As Irene has said, have you actually installed the downloaded file? Does your computer meet the minimum requirements to run SL?
  17. Unfortunately, many merchants in SL tend to hide their profiles from search (bad business practice IMO), and due to the idiotic way that V2 search work you will be unable to find that merchant to open an IM window. Only 2 ways around this: 1) Find an object that was created by that person and from the object information you can open up their profile and then you will be able to send them an IM or notecard. 2) Use a TPV that is not V2 codebase like Phoenix for example, then you can just search their name and they will show up even if they are hiding their profile. Good Luck.
  18. It depends who your market is if you have limited yourself to a certain niche don't expect the results to be so great, not everyone in SL has the same tastes as you. The landowner I rent from has about 100 sims or so and he is doing really well and last I heard he was looking to buy more sims. There are many factors involved, including the level of professionalism you portray as a business owner, for example rude and unprofessional land owners are seeing a decline in business because people rather rent from someone who will treat them well. Get to know your renters and always conduct yourself in a friendly and professional manner. Also Malls may not be doing well because merchants rather rent a parcel where they can deed the land to their group and have control over the parcel and the same goes for people wanting to rent for residential purposes. I never rent land unless I am able to do so by purchasing the land from the about land tab.
  19. They way I handle the list is this: I never ask for anyone's friendship, if someone wants to add me to their list I won't decline, this way I don't feel like I have any sort of commitment to that person to talk to them often and when they delete me because "I didn't speak" with them I can just laugh at them. I don't decline requests because I find it rude. I never delete anyone because I need to "clean" my list, as far as I know there is no limit on the friend list so there is no need to "clean" it. I do however delete those who hide themselves as offline because my point of view is that if you want to hide in a cave why the hell did you bother to ask for friendship. Also I delete anyone who changes their display name to anything annoying and with ASCII symbols, the people who do that are not the type of people I would like to associate with anyhow.
  20. Offtopic: To respond to a post on the thread you have to use the comments thing right under the post.
  21. You can try some fixes explained here http://neilrobinson.wordpress.com/ good luck.
  22. According to some blogs Orange has blocked SL. I'll do more googling and see if there is a fix for you.
  23. SL "friends" are just really acquaintances no matter how much others tend to believe otherwise. If they deleted you, then they did not value your friendship enough to wait. Don't worry you will meet new people.
  24. Thank you Brooke, good job +10 Kudos for you!
