  1. I find Facebook to be a very effective source. Make a page for your business if you don't already have one and make sure you keep it up to date and interact often to build up an audience.
  2. Pirates and Fae signups are now available. http://richmondsurvivalcampsl.blogspot.com/ Also feel free to read Chapter 1 of our epic storyline. http://richmondsurvivalcampsl.blogspot.com/2016/05/chapter-1.html
  3. The sims that have such skyboxes make it possible because each skybox is placed on its own individual parcel and then having the privacy settings the others here have described turned on. If your skybox is not on its own parcel then anyone inside that parcel no matter what distance they are at can cam to your avatar. Just thought I'd point that out.
  4. Here's another option for you if you really can't get a real computer running windows but it will cost you an arm and a leg. https://www.brightcanopy.com/
  5. Google gives you a Happy Birthday Google Doodle at least
  6. Claro que si, solamente si el objeto tiene los permisos No Copia/Si Transfer.
  7. Hello folks, For the 3rd year in a row Richmond Survival Camp is putting together a summer 1 week long role play adventure for the SL kid community. Our summer camp is aimed towards child avatars as an alternative to the more traditional summer camps that happen on the grid around summer time. RSC is completely FREE however, run through donations from sponsors. Because it is completely free we rely on volunteers to roleplay certain characters needed to make the role play experience enjoyable. This is why I am here today. About RSC: Richmond Survival Camp is Second Life's newest yearly camp for child avatars. It is a FREE summer camp to give kids of all backgrounds, ages, and with different skill levels of role play a chance at an unforgettable experience. Whether you are a store owner or not, have many friends or not you will always feel welcomed and at home. Unlike other camps on the grid, RSC takes a unique approach in role play. At this camp you will not find normal sleeping cabins or what most would expect from a summer camp. At RSC nothing looks safe! it is almost...deadly and your goal is to survive!. In 2014 Richmond Survival Camp took place in a lost island infested with hungry kid eating dinosaurs. All kids except one made it home safe and we can proudly say that for such unique type of camp it turned out to be a great success. In 2015 camp took place in an abandoned military island full of deadly zombies. We are happy to bring this camp back year after year with new adventures and each time bigger and better. Here are some videos and pictures from last year's camp What we need: Pirates: -These will be adult characters -You should have proper pirate attire -Pirates will mostly be interacting with people role playing children ages 7-12, these are usually poeple with higher role play skills and require a more immersive role play environment where para rp is very likely to take place. Fairies/Pixies: -These will be teen/young adult/adult characters -You should have a mesh tiny fae avatar -Fae will mostly be interacting with people role playing children ages 2-6 and the adult caretakers, these are more relaxed role players where para rp will almost never occur, you can expect to go ooc a lot and you should be okay with this. RP level here are low to medium. This massive role play takes place for a whole week and it is a 24hr each day event. Dates are still to be determined but it will be at the end of July or early August. If you require more information please feel free to ask on this thread. If you would like to volunteer and be a pirate or fae please contact Landon Edenbaum inworld. I cannot say much about this year's theme as we like to keep it a secret as much as possible :D but here is this year's poster and you can pretty much guess. Thank you all for reading this long post!
  8. Don't mind the people who would laugh. A lot of people don't have the money to buy higher end computers. What matters most is that YOU are happy with it not anyone else. Yes, I'd give that SLGo a try and 9.95 a month is still a lot less than 400+ dollars on a stronger computer.
  9. It seems so yes. [Posted 9:41 PM PST, 09 March 2015] We are currently performing unscheduled inventory database maintenance. During this time, some residents may experience login issues, inventory loading issues and an inability to rez. Residents inworld may also be logged off. Please refrain from rezzing no-copy objects and making L$ transactions during this maintenance. Please check back here for updates.
  10. You could always sign up for SLGo so you can view SL on Ultra graffics without putting too much strain on your computer that way it will last longer.
  11. As others had said the DSL option is better for you because a 30gb cap is not enough 30gb will be gone in less than a month. I used to have 1.5mbps speed and SL worked just fine.
  12. You're still trying to run SL from Chrome OS it seems. Chrome OS cannot run SL there is no chrome app that I know of for SL. EDIT: Ahh I didn't see you had downloaded the tarball. Which method of running Ubuntu are you using?
  13. Check this link out might help you. http://http://www.linux.com/learn/tutorials/795730-how-to-easily-install-ubuntu-on-chromebook-with-croutonwww.linux.com/learn/tutorials/795730-how-to-easily-install-ubuntu-on-chromebook-with-crouton
  14. SL go is for android if you are able to use android apps on it and they are not found on chrome webstore (I don't even know what chrome webstore is). Chromebook seems to me like its a web browser on a machine? I am sorry but your only option other than buying a laptop is to install Ubuntu on it (meaning you'll have to install a whole new operating system on it), or to test it out you can run it from a usb disk if chromebook allows. You can check out this video
  15. Judging from your attitude, I am glad you are unable to enter the "game" as you want to call it.
  16. Actually. If you can install something like Ubuntu on it that might be another route as long as the system specs are enough to run SL.
  17. Can you install android apps on it? If so then there is SLgo. Other than that you are sol.
  18. Does google chromebook use android? or can you install android apps on it from the google play store? If so there is SLgo now. SLgo has a 7 day free trial so you can see if it works out for you then after that it is 9.99 a month I believe.
  19. Probably the very popular avi bent over with head on crotch glitch. Just relog, usually does the trick.
