  1. Darrius Gothly wrote Do like I did... So I went and talk with both of them last night.. but I was overwhelmed. I mean two voices against one?? I was outnumbered really. It's like reading those commerce and CTUG transcripts... plenty of conversations but very few discussions.
  2. Is that V2? I have no idea we could do a Beyonce too??
  3. On the subject of being alone.... I'm not sure which one is the worst... Being alone because you are alone or having someone or more and still feel alone? How do you know if you are lonely or is just a loner?
  4. My alts are too demanding!! They're like small children always screaming to buy them this and that... They've been extorting money from me and threatened to 'out' themselves if I don't buy them clothes or jewelry. One of these days, I might just hire a hitman to end their lives or loose a few meshes or two... I mean look at me, I'm paying all those mainland tiers like $10 a month, so these alts can have a home to log in and I can hardly buy new shoes anymore. Just the other day the male alt told me that he needed one of those Ryu like Street Fighter chinese costume to match his wife's (who is also my alt) new black Cheong Sam. It wasn't cheap at all.. I spent like $5 a month on these two idiots! And now with the new parcels as their play ground, I have to take my monthly stipends and more to buy full perm textures, sculpts, scripts and animations for these alts to jolie around, like monkeys. I spent a lot on textures that I think I might just need to start dating a graphic artist or texture creator so at least I can pay textures with uhmm... my affection. I think I may already have someone in mind ... (/me smiles knowingly...) So, I believe and I have not count it all in detail without having a Defib next to me, I have been spending around $100 a month on lands, my self and my stupid alts...
  5. The worst: /Someone-someone looks at the succulent young lady standing just opposite of him and says... "I'd like to pour some honey on you while I lick and devour you in ecstasy"" Place: Dolcett sim (...I didn't know!!)
  6. I've seen a few good ones complete with texture animations. I have bought one before and used it for the heavy downfall effect in my skybox. You could modify the speed setting of the textures to match your rainfall. I'm currently at work now so I can't did into my inventory to show you. i'll do it later tonight.
  7. Has it changed? Buying lands and developing it certainly gives more sense of accomplishment in Second Life. I had risen from a 2 incarnations so I guess I have to use that to summarized my current one. My first one was a party goddess ... I spent hours at my favourite hangouts listening to DJs after Djs ... flooding the local chat with gestures and "oOOOOhhhh I love this song" responses. I've made friends and not only that I was a social 'butter-flirt' :smileytongue: as well. It was fun going out on dates each time a different one... but amidst of it all, I'm still searching for the real me and found that it wasn't the life I want to have in SL... so I ended my previous life and reborn into my second one. My second life was more focused on an intimate relationship with a guy. I still frequented many clubs but I had less friends. To make that story short, and indeed it was a short story (I only lasted a few months with that account), it turned out that one particular guy with whom I decided to 'settle down' with wasn't that faithful at all. This was also about the same time I realized that Second Life had affected my Real Life in a negative way and was affecting my performance at work which ironically the one that introduces me to Second Life. I ended up this life too... only this time, I was less cruel to the people I came to know... I IM'd them all personally.. told them I'm living Second Life and if I ever come back, I will certainly go looking for them. I gave them my email so they can continue to reach me beyond SL if they want so. I went cold turkey for months after that and getting caught up with my Real Life and works which i had neglected before. My third incarnation, which is the current one has more sense of accomplishment and direction of what I want to be in Second Life. I know I want to be more than just hopping from one party to another... I know that I don't want to have just another casual chat on local chat but a meaningful conversation of the person I am with at that time. I do not frequent clubs and hangouts like I used to but I am exploring the grid albeit alone most of the time. I have a real close friend that I wouldn't trade for anything just because he was there in my previous life and has been a loyal friend so far. Apart from him, I've made some friends too... but they are not many. I've learned in the past... you can fill up your friends list and only a few of them are actually meant something to you. I have also become quite discerning as to what group I should be associated with. This gives me enough time to focus on something that I have always known I'm really good with... inter-personal relationship. I'm more at ease talking to the person at a person to person level than, say, saying something quirky and witty at a group conversation... This has made me somewhat aloof in the eyes of my peers but it doesn't really matter to me anymore because at this point of my life in SL, all that matters are the ones who values me enough to have his/her time spared to spend some time in getting to know the real me. For that, that person has my devoted attention and loyalty.
  8. Randall Ahren wrote: I just purchased my equipment today. Would you like to help me try it out? Wait, Randall? Is that good or a bad thing? :smileywink: the reason i asked, is because I just asked someone randomly last night to try those couple pose balls for my new parcels build and I had no one with me. He refused of course.. :smileysad:
  9. I have a few bests and worsts. The best: Hey good looking, I like your style. The worst: ... He was a bot! :smileysad: The best: after reading my real life profile.. "This is not your paperclip I pulled from my carotid artery is it?" The worst: after reading my real life profile.. " I, too, killed someone in RL" (she was serious!) The best: The house is nice and pretty, like you The worst: My house was in a mess The best: If you like, I can show you my **beep, beep, tuuuttt** (there mods, I bleeped if for you) a lady friend gave me The worst: It was the Freenis.
  10. the short answer is , no. You are entitled to one piece of land which is 512m with 117 prims allowance. If you choose to have a Linden home, you'll get the house, the 512m and the 117 prims with no extra charge.
  11. Mog, Love love love the textures! I was there too. I don't know what you can do with the extra 12 but at least you can have 5 of them taken care off. What if you put puddle of water to reflect the rain?
  12. Geez, where's the Kudo button when you need one? Thanks Wilhiam... it works now...
  13. I was able to do that with my previous version V2.4. I was looking at my debug setting and the only thing I know that might work is to remove the Sound UUID. I couldn't tell which one is for animation. KB search result provides nothing either. To the Lindens: The search Key I used were these ones; Snapshot, Sound UUID, Camera, Snapshot Animation, How to turn off Snapshot sound?

  15. Oii... ! /me points to the tiny and furry rabbits community... eat them! I just gave you Tem! /me turns into giant Rottweiler...
  16. Well, Lia... Welcome Back! Good to see you around again. @Everyone... Great posts and stories so far. I've seen or encountered far more rudeness before. I was tolerant of him because it wasn't that long ago, that I was newbie myself. Having never rezzed in an Orientation or Welcome area ( I was rezzed in my RL work sim)... I was left fending for myself and if it wasn't for the Sidebar Destination Guide, I would not have known any other place than that sim... Nevertheless, I was lucky enough that I chose Faery Crossing and Bookstack as my first real Second Life experience. The residents in those places were kind enough to explain how to use my viewer. I've had my fair share of ejection and pushes ... not to mention shouts from residents to go away. I didn't understand at that time why until I walked into a sim once and immediately ejected out into the nearest info area. That was when a guy followed, chatted and took me to his place. He was my 'First' introduction into the sexual side of Second Life... which also explained all the Security Orbs and Ban lines. My point is, I am not surprised that he was confused about Second Life and it can be quite lonely for a newbie especially when he was given the impression that the only way to enjoy Second Life was to be with someone. I would have grab him by his ear and make him sit while I gave him my 30 minutes lecture as to why Second Life is not just for romantic relationship. But like Wasted, he was adamant that he is right. That, and the part where he said that I was 'Pretty enough' to be his gf was my trigger point...
  17. Speaking of roadkill... here's another type of rodent you could use if its cuter cousins aren't enough.. :smileyvery-happy: **sorry.. I just couldn't resist!**
  18. Have you attended any of the inworld classes? NCI and Caledon University both provide business classes for beginners. But I can give you one basic lesson that you will need : Be Patient! Starting up from nothing with the least amount of knowledge is the easiest thing you can do in SL. Making it work is another beast to handle. If you don't have the patience now, I have a feeling that you'll be coming back with more rants. IMs may not always received by the creator especially when he gets more than 15 IMs a day. Try sending him a notecard instead. By the way, I had a problem with one of my items I bought before and it took the creator about 72 hours to reply. Good service is optional in Second Life I'm sure you'll encounter more in a few weeks time...
  19. My avatar seems more at ease when dressed plainly and relatively conservatively: . I beg to differ... I think Tristen's latest photo on the third should look really good on you. All you need is to find a brighter inside t-shirt to compliment your dark skin.
  20. in addition to Dres.. You may also need to make sure your Search window has all the contents checked if you are looking for adult sims. BTW: Passport doesn't work for some people.. mine as well. I had to use my country's social ID to be verified and make sure you have the address matched in your verification process to your ID.
  21. Ok, I take back my words from the other thread... You are the best dresser I've seen in this forums.
  22. Thank you mainlanders and well wishers!
  23. Oh... as the typical Virgo, I filter my potential partners through multiple layers even before they knew they wanted to be with me. So the one that finally got through will be exactly the way I always want a man to be. On the good side, I don't have to tell or force the guy to 'mold' into my type, he comes with the package... on the bad side, no one might be able to pass all the 'tests'... which is why i'm still single.. lol! PS: His appearance is part of the 'layers' that he needs to pass!
