from what im told, they used someone's license to register, and LL didn't accept the email address as proof.

One of my friends accounts got hacked, they got LL to lock it but couldn't verify that they are the owner of it.... so what options do they have?

My oh My, the over inflated ego of the OP, jesus H christ. All I got from this was "I know computers better than you, therefore you suck" Old or not, the internet never forgets Anyways, there is in no way in hell that the phoenix viewer would ever screw with the bios, period, at all. the only thing the bios does is check your hardware then tests too see if it can boot, then it passes that along too the OS, unless you were updating it with some infected file as a bios update, nothing can really screw with it (software wise at least) Just to take a piss at something I guess.

Your ping is really high, it takes almost two seconds for a round trip communication with SL, and for stuff like that, that's slow, alos you being able to browse the web doesn't tell us much, SL uses a lot of ports to comminucate, browsing just uses one and that always works.

Hit the windows start key, type in "cmd", you'll see a black window, type in "ipconfig /flushdns", let me know if that helped.

go here and install it, run it and wait for the list to build, find your SL installation, click uninstall at the top then select advanced, it'll run the uninstaller then scans your hard drive for left over folders and registery items, select them all then delete them. Restarting the computer is not required but is suggested as windows cannot remove files until restarted sometimes, generally the only left over thing would be the settings file, you could uninstall SL as mentioned then delete the secondlife folder in appdata (search for a program called run then type %appdata% )

My customers get product updates and that's it, I might include an optional notecard or message with it, but rarely do I update anything (I need to poke around for stuff to fix)

This account was banned for about 3 months, calling yielded no results and one day on my alt I got fed up waiting so I contacted a few lindens directly, they then told me the reason, which was I was crashing sims, I replied with "I was weapons testing" (I probably overdid it) the linden then told me to wait a few hours and lo and behold my account works.

Im having that problem, but heres the scary thing, my alt logs in fine

Wow, just.... wow. First everyone is trying to explain to you why it happens, then try to offer some help. Second is that, yeah your pissed, its not a license to be an ass by telling to STFU, you wanted answers, you got them, but don't be a total dick if it's not what you're looking for, it's not called for. EDIT: My home, with no caching at all, after 1 minute of loading on a low end machine, with draw distance stepping starting from nothing and stopping at 100 meters, this is impressive in my book.

Fun fact: most games already have the textures that you need when you install the game, take team fortress 2 for example. Now take SL, where every texture is stored on servers and have to be sent to you a few at a time. You can make the textures load by playing with your draw distance, in phoenix this is done automatically with distance stepping, you tp in and your draw distance is set to minimum, when time passes it'll gradually keep raising your draw distance until your set distance is met, this is a type of queuing.

Notice here on SL's main page that my email, this is my current email. Problem here is that in the lower picture, my old email is being used, with no option to change it Before anyone points out the differences in my name, one uses my display name, the other uses my login name. But this is kind've annoying right there, it uses my old email with no option to change it.

The prim part doesnt need anything fancy, a few lables as to what does what and a couple of buttons with minimal screen realty used as possible

since this was a bit of a flop, im gonna ask if someone can build it, IM me for details and price negotiations. EDIT: the hud is supposed to display my weight, it recieves input on how much ive gained via a script that goes into a prim and either figures out how many lindograms the prim weighs (then converts it into pounds) or asks the user how many approximate pounds it should be. Your weight can be displayed in hovertext on either the hud itself or a titler. after getting to a certain number, the hud outputs a user defined message onto a channel, in an example: at 350 it would say /12 change 5 1.2 after not recieving input from its food script, it starts to 'loose' weight. an optional feature is gas expulsion (were mature, so i'll just say fart or belch) to make you loose weight faster. I know something like this existed and worked, but it was a titler, and the creater was a bit of a drama magnet and fell off SL, what im requesting it a similar device but more expanded upon.

If someone can build an RP hud that's full perm (the main scripts don't have to be as long as the hud can be given away and have moddable prims) that I can share with friends, I'd appreciate it, I don't have alot of money but im able to work something out if it sounds reasonable, IM me in-world for details (I honeself didn't know where this post sat since there's no request or hud category from anywhere that I see)

heres what im wanting, a hud that comes with a script, the script goes into a prim food item then figures out how many lindo grams the object would output if eaten in RP the output goes into the hud and the hud displays my body weight, the hud also has the ability to talk onto a channel like for example "/12 change 1.2" and... maybe the ability too... i guess burp and fart or something to loose weight

is there seriously no button to make a new thread?

other than its a 100% headache at first i guess its fine, my only complaints are: no general discussions, cant find a "start new thread" button, and working the new stuffi s a bit hard
