Oh that's a great idea - to check other dresses' alpha layers - thanks! And yes...I love mon tissu. The pencil skirt and the mini skirt are system clothing layers with mesh panels.
-
Thanks, Ariel; I have plenty of flexi dresses which are fine....and I do have a few mesh dresses which do not make me completely invisible underneath when wearing the alpha layer. I'm looking for more designers whose alpha layers do not completely erase the body from waist to mid-thigh. I've tweaked and tweaked to be able to NOT wear the alpha layer, but with little success.

Does anyone know of any designers whose dresses/skirts do not render you completely invisible underneath? I've come across a few dresses, which are marvelous! I mean...what's the point of having all this lingerie? :) (Sorry if this isn't the correct board/section...point me in the right direction) Thanks!

Greetings me hearties! I hope thee fares well this fine September day. Did ye known that today is "International Talk Like a Pirate" Day? There be a festive gathering of sorts this evening, 6 pm SLT, at the Forum Cartel Hangout: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Allana/165/40/34. Our very own buccaneer, Ghosty Kips, will be djing for some (or all!) portion of the festivities!

Ooooh, I don't think I've been to Forest Floor...thanks for the suggestion! And *waves to Kylie* yes, I agree with you - if the shop owner goes to the trouble of seasonally decorating...it would be great if they would continue that throughout the year! (I would note that some could argue that since it's Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere...the store/sim is now welcoming to SL'ers from that neck of the woods.... *grins*)

Flamers, Trolls, Dramaqueens and Spectators

I am not a dramaqueen, but I am a dancing queen. -
I'd say about two weeks ago, I started experiencing serious lag spikes. They are occurring every 10-15 minutes, for about 2 minutes. I'm at work, so I don't have my computer specs with me, but I haven't changed anything on my desktop PC; eg., .nothing new installed..etc. etc. Last night, while inworld, I pulled up the stats window to check the ping rate. When all was well, it was around...120-130. But when the lag spikes hit...it was up to 2000-2500! :smileysurprised: It's not just happening at home (estate land)...but when I am out and about in SL. I know this isn't much to go on, but...any suggestions? I should note that I don't have any connectivity issues while navigating from webpage to webpage - which is often what I've ended up doing during the periods of lag. :( Thanks!

Dear Madame, I am writing to complain about the atrocious lack of complaints NOT filed here in the past five weeks. I ask you...where are standards? -

Happy Rez Day, Charolotte!!

Ohhhhhh...it was the Festival of Charolotte yesterday? We could have had a cake at the Hangout! Hope you had a great day, Charolotte. -
I was, and am, fortunate to have wonderful parents. When we were growing up, they were totally focused on the family, without being ...what's the expression these days?...helicopter parents. Amazing homemaker, short order cook (since 3 of her 5 children were in sports and came home at all hours), homeroom mother, Girl Scout volunteer, champion carpool driver. A shoulder to cry on and a firm hand (literally and figuratively) when we needed it. Outrageous sense of humor, patient, grounded. I couldn't have asked for a better role model. Mom has Alzheimer's now, and I feel as though she's being stolen away from us, day by day. But even on her hardest days, there are moments when her personality shines through. Her smiling face still lights my life. And to see the love and care in my parents' faces as they gaze on each other, after almost 59 years of marriage....is a gift beyond measure. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

NOT an April Fool's joke :p (and sorry...I wasn't sure where to put this) ADudeNamed Anthony has been tinkering around and has built a new underwater lair/den. He's going to have a ...would you call it a lair-warming? :p tonight, April 1st, from 6 - 8 pm SLT. Cali Souther's going to spin some tunes, disco and otherwise. The place has a disco feel to it. Stop on by and get your groove on! Warning: Part of the dance floor is two feet under water, so be prepared! :D Dang! I can't find the slurl! :( Will find it a bit later - or perhaps someone who is inworld has the LM? EDIT: SLURL: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Silvercreek/139/224/22
