  1. The regions were running on the following distribution of server class @ 2 September 2012 Class 501 7.7% Class 502 2.2% Class 503 26.1% Class 701 38.0% Class 703 14.0% Class 801 12.0% http://www.sluniverse.com/php/vb/virtual-business/8523-new-sl-sims-past-week-77.html#post1627701
  2. Maybe it's all that funny type face stuff you are using that stops the search actually recognising your name and opening your profile ?
  3. I haven't been in world today, but I noticed last night some of the "system" stuff, like friends, profiles, was so slow. There is a bug that is triggered when you change sims, which can cause permanent fetching of inventory. There is a workround for it until LL fix the bug, but I have lost the jira link to it, so maybe someone else can post it.
  4. Yes I get the same sometimes and as you say, it comes and goes. I have seen others talking about it in the forums too. I do exactly the same as Rolig and right click to bring it back. Not sure what is the cause simply because it comes and goes rather than being permanent.
  5. I get that sometimes. It's like although you are logged in, the connection hasn't completely worked. Logging out then relogging fixes it for me. However, there was maintenance being carried out and if you tried to purchase at that time, it may have been that.
  6. I have noticed, since the last unscheduled SIM restarts, so that was last Friday I think, that a number of SIMS have been down and still are. The ones I noticed are around Nautilus and the Blake.
  7. People are still having problems with Marketplace since the maintenance - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Technical/Can-t-search-the-Marketplace/qaq-p/1631133
  8. The pinkish skin thing is what I see as the textures I am wearing load, but it then goes, like in a second, so it does seem your textures aren't loading for some reason, as Charolotte is suggesting. Mal
  9. I use ie9 and never had problems before with Marketplace, but since the last maintenance that was done on it the other day, I also have the same problem. I have found that if you click on any item on the first page, then expanding the list or doing more searches works. Mal
  10. First check if the sandbox allows rezzing scripted objects, if what you have is scripted. Otherwise, it could just be the SL bug, in which case, go to the sandbox, then log out, then log back in to the sandbox, ie not having TP'd from anywhere else and try to rez again the objects.
  11. For a long time after the update, I couldn't get past the 1st search. I enter a word to search, then get a response, but then to go to any next pages or increase the number of items shown returned an HTTP error message. It has only just started working again for me, but how many hours lost is that ! Certainly if I encounter problems, I'm not going to risk buying anything. I noticed on answers, someone else saying the same thing. I use ie9 and some say that is an issue for Marketplace. Mal ps I just noticed this on Answers too - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Shopping/Marketplace-shoppingcarterror/qaq-p/1628827
  12. Maintenance was carried out on Marketplace. When that was completed there were then some new issues. The status says that these have been resolved, but there seems still to be occasional issues, but not all the time. Refreshing sometimes clears them. If you wait, it will all be resolved, but for now, I don't think it's a good idea to try to buy anything ! Mal
  13. Yes, I also heard that there is a SL bug that affects some sit animations at high altitude, for example, in your skybox. It doesn't affect all just some. I don't know anything more about it.
  14. Lots of excellent advice from the others here Markus. On the in-world shop versus Marketplace subject, a lot of people use Marketplace to research stuff, but they often wont buy if they can't actually "touch" the stuff in-world. So, even if you dont sell from your in-world shop, it can help merchants to make sales by providing a place to show their items from Marketplace leads. With long established or well known creators, this is less important as they will have built up a reputation. Mal
  15. It would also be helpful if you filed an abuse report to LL when you find out the Avi's name who planted the push script there. Don't forget to ban them from your sim too. Good luck and I am really sorry you have had this problem, mets.
  16. This happens to me sometimes. Seems like although you are logged in, the system hasn't quite connected you to your account. I just relog and it clears it.
  17. I want to comment on toasters and I cant find the topic anywhere. I have so much to say on toasters, but this topic isnt the right place for it. Am I too late? Did the toaster topic get removed?
  18. I don't know what you mean by "my other profiles", but if you are having issues with SL, always check the grid status first. Currently, this message is posted there and it indicates issues with profiles in SL - [Posted 9:25pm PDT, 29 June 2012] We’re working to re-route or restore some of our Web services. The Second Life Wiki is the most prominent outage; however, profile retrieval and related services are also failing for some Residents. We’ll keep you posted.
  19. This sounds like a serious security issue, so please do what Lindal says and open a Jira. Thanks.
  20. Sometimes I get more crashes than usual. It is mostly on high graphics, high scripted sims or busy sims and usually during LL working hours.I usually experience more lag at those times too. It isnt a permanent issue for me, so I put it down to LL doing work on the Grid as it always goes away later ! I just avoid the sims that crash me until things get sorted.
  21. If you are having issues with SL, always check the grid status first. The Second Life Wiki is the most prominent outage; however, profile retrieval and related services are also failing for some Residents. We’ll keep you posted.
  22. Oh it's OK. This isn't an adult question. I had lessons at school about this when I was 11.
  23. I don't think you have been scammed. Claireschen makes a reference to what seems to have happened. The service agent you talked to thought you were referring to WoW. She gives a WoW link and talks about availability on a server. The big global region servers used by games like WoW ties in with what the service agent was saying. Maybe you should try going back to them and explaining that there was a misunderstanding and you were talking about SL and the service agent thought it was WoW.
  24. Seems like your'e not alone with this problem - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Server/Server-1-amp-VFS-Errors/td-p/1553235 Yesterday, LL was doing a rolling restart also some unscheduled maintenance. Could be this will clear itself if you wait. Others here may have some more things for you to try though. Hope this gets sorted for you soon. Mal
  25. Actually Tamara, I had similar problems to yours on my sim yesterday. All it took to resolve them was a sim restart, so if you can get that done it might solve your problems, otherwise, there is a rolling restart underway now, so if your sim is a main one it will get restarted today anyway.
