Hello Leila I am not an expert at scripting or sim crossing issues, but I fly a lot of hours and drive a lot of vehicles in SL and I have a lot of planes and vehicles, so I can tell you what I experience. First on the camera angle change on sim crossing - I have found this to be, at least in part but see sim crossing later, script specific, i.e. it depends on the plane maker, so, planes made by some creators have more issues with this than others. In fact, some makers have managed to sort this issue out completely. On the problem where you end up losing control on sim crossings, I think this is mainly down to lag, i.e. you are moving OK in reality but you can't see the crossing and what is going on in your viewer because of lag. So, don't wear any scripts other than what is needed for the vehicle. You should check out your avi script reading, because its amazing how many clothing items are scripted without us knowing ! Also, it seems to depend on the sims, so one version of a sim server, say Le Tigre, crossing to another, say maint server affects the time it takes for the crossing to register in your viewer. I know there are lots of other things that affect sim crossings, but if your sims are not on the same server version, I think, if you own them, you can ask LL to change them to the same version. Finally, LL are working on threaded sim crossing, so the sim crossing issues are known and being worked on. I would suggest you take your planes and try them in the Blake Sea area to see how your sim crossings work there, that will give you an idea of how good the plane scripts are. I am sure some of the experts here can explain better some of my points because I am more of a doer than a techy, but don't give up on the tanks and planes ! Mal ps Karen was posting the same time as me and her point is often talked about by multi sim owners and they have done what she is suggesting and seen the improvements she talks about.

I am having rez problems too and I have seen lots of others with the same issues. It does seem like it's a bug and started with either the big crash the other week or the last inventory maintenance which was about the same time. I have found that I can rez when I first log in, but that doesn't last.

Hiya My inventory is behaving strangely either since the big crash last week, or since the last inventory maintenance and sorry, I cant remember at which point it started as i think they were both quite close. I have done all the cache clear stuff by the way ! What I notice is that my inventory loads after log in (I click on recent to force a full load) then everything is fine. After rezzing 1 or 2 scripted items, I can't rez anything else. I can attach but not rez. Also, I get the timer thing up again on inventory as if it's still loading. Mostly, I can rez something if first I wear it (yes I know it's so embarrassing wearing an object). Then if I take it off, I can rez it, I have to repeat this for anything else I want to rez, but eventually this work round stops working and I have to relog before I can rez anything again. I have rezzing rights on a lot of different sims both mainland and private and it doesnt make any difference where I am, same problem. I am using the latest version of Viewer 3. Since I updated to the latest release of viewer 3 and since the server updates of last week, which may be connected, I have found that I crash regularly and especially on Le Tigre sims. I am not sure if this is a viewer or server issue, but wondered if anyone else is having this problem? I didnt crash much at all before last week. Mal

1) Is there a way to turn off left double click in inventory which attaches an item automatically to an avi ? I find it so easy to attach non clothes items when all I want to do is rez something and at the moment it seems all items will attach even if they are objects and not real attachable things. 2) Is there a way to turn off double clicking on the main map which tp's you to somewhere ? Again, when dragging the map to look at a place out of view, it is so easy to accidentally TP to somewhere ! I realise that actually, I may need therapy to cure me of my accidental double clicking problem, but until I can find a specialist to help me, turning off double click seems the only way ! A while ago I tried Firestorm Beta but now use Viewer 3. I noticed that in my Current Outfit Folder in my Inventory I am wearing #Firestorm LSL Bridge V 1.7 (broken link). I did uninstall Firestorm before I installed Viewer 3. The inventory items cannot be taken off or deleted with right click in inventory or directly from my avatar. I have checked the other posts on this subject but they don't seem to fit with my problem. Questions - Does this matter ? Am I carrying extra scripts or items that cause any lag with this Firestorm item ? Is there any way to delete this either in-world or directly from my computer ? However, although they may give you the number of users logging in from Malaysia, they certainly wont give you any in-world names as this is private information.

What Peggy said is the best answer, probably your inv didnt load properly, but it is very unlikely that you lost anything. Thing is Isa, loads of people in SL say they are going to do things or generally destroy your SL world in some way but they can't, so just mute and ignore them. Also, if you are going to mute someone, just do it, don't tell them, then go somwehere esle if possible. Have a lovely time in-world. Hugs.

There are caps for receiving IM's when someone is offline, but the only limit for IM's being sent that I know about is the 5,000 per hour from any object. Do you own something that is sending out IM's automatically ? Maybe the definition of "object" includes avatars ?

Yes, mine has been a bit bothersome too, but I see that there has been an issue, reported in the grid status listings with a reference to a jira, so maybe its that. It says its fixed now so maybe if you set it to display one more time it will stay.

We are all looking out for the next alien invasion and it seems they are using your land as a landing point. These are aliens from outside of our galaxy and yes, they are collecting information for their invasion of earth. Of course they don't answer, because they can't yet speak any earth language. The reason for wanting to invade the earth is quite simple. We have chocolate and they don't.

I muted someone a long time ago because I kept getting commercial group invitations that I didnt want. I have started receiving the invitations again despite the mute, which is strange. The only difference I have noticed is that they have added, to their original avatar name, a display name, which contains lots of strange symbols that makes it impossible to copy. Anyone know why the mute doesnt work anymore and if necessary, how to reactivate the mute or is this just a temporary issue that will get fixed? Thanks.

There is a complication with YouTube on copyright in that some vids will not play in all countries, so even if you can see it from the country you are in, some wont be able to.

LoveAngel is correct, but also most vehicles come with changeable camera view options. You need to check the makers instructions to see if that applies in your case.

Presumably, you mean US$. For EU based members of SL, there is VAT charged on these transactions, so in your case that will be 20%. Also, yes, there is a commission charge.

Voice has been down in some sims recently, but this seems to be getting fixed. If it says no speakers though, it really does sound like your pc/laptop settings need to be looked at.

Some "body parts" wont come off. You have to replace them with something else, so get another hair base and wear it and it will remove the newbie one. Usually, if you buy hair it comes with a new hair base.

If you edit your question and give more info on what messages you are getting on failed log in and at what point the log in fails, then you can get more precise help in this forum.

For quite some time there have been sims all over the grid that are giving very poor performance and usually these are the ones that have been crashing frequently. There is a hardware fix coming up which has just been posted on the grid status report. You might just find, if the fix works, that this issue goes away if it is not any of the other issues highlighted in the other replies here.

Some you can't, unless you are able to delete the bling script, but that you can only do if the item is modify. Otherwise, try off or bling off in open chat without a channel number or using the favourite ones of 1 or 99, eg /1 bling off or /99 bling off
