If Kona was a senior citizen I'd make her wear a hearing aid, but alas she's a 20-something in prime condition. A fellow Flickr user pointed me to a few haistores and I found his hairstyle from Wasabi: Wasabi - Madison It's fairly close to the original style, so success!

Recently I upgraded my ALT Kona Falconer to a mesh head and found an irritating problem. Her primary hair piece from Truth cuts through her ears: The hair (Yelena) is rigged and cannot be modified at all. To remove the offending section I could either slide the head size to 100% or shrink the ears to 18%. Neither option is desirable. Looking like a Talosian or a Minbari is not an option either. Is there some other trick I can try? If not, can anyone recommend a similar hairpiece from another vendor?

I came across this Deep Fake video in my feeds today and it made me come up with an interesting analogy. Going from a system head to a mesh head and continuing to use the original skin is similar to a Deep Fake video. A deep fake is when you plaster a face onto someone else's head. The video below features the face of Clint Eastwood plastered over Paul Hogan: It's Paul's voice, body language (AO), main body, hair and ears that remain the same. In SL the transferal is less precise, but when done properly you are recognizable.

Big thumbs up for the new Maitreya Lara body update (v5.0)! It has allowed me to tint my tattoo so it looks more muted like a RL tattoo.

I discovered early on that a Space Navigator puck does not produce a Look-at cross. -
Took the dive for a mesh head and this is what I've done so far! I can certainly say that the skin really makes the face and can accommodate changes beneath it. That being said, I think my eyes and mouth can use a bit more tweaking.

It was a Friday afternoon, 10 November 2006 and I was creating this account. I scanned the names and stopped at "Racer." At that very moment a GEICO commercial was playing on TV: I was like, "Sure, why not?" , and GoSpeed Racer was born! I worried that my name would cause me to be laughed at, until I spotted a lot of names sillier than mine! Only recently I've changed my display name to GoSpeed Rasere as I use that name for a character in my self published novels.
