  3. yeah ... At least its an answer.... but not enough for making me jumping up and down.... First, Commerce Team Linden, you are late for your answxer ! Ok, better late than never, but you have zero skills for a good communication. This is not enough to come here after 4 silent weeks... what you say to us now, you was able to say it earlier. Second, i m really intrigued by you skills of reading. Obviously, you missed a lot of other point we told you. What about these points ? (wrong pic displayed, notification for reviews, better search engine, fix the relevance classiification, and even more, but i wont do your job here, if you read carefully again all the thread you will see you missed a lot of points....). On top of the list i would now place a better communication with merchants ! You have to give us updates more often ! Dont think its enough to come here saying nothing new except highlighting some points and tell to us you are working on it. We have precise questions and needs. We need answers and deeds. Its not like if we started this thread yesterday. This thread started on the 8th of october. So one month before. You needed one month to finally give us only 2 final answers regarding the merchant group and the backlog.... for the remaining of the list its pure fantasy... in you last 2 updates, the list is different and miss a lot of points, and still the same answer : "wait, wait wait"... ok, we are waiting. but till when ? Can you tell us at least a projected schedule ? Can you tell us what kind of priority you put to every point ? Nevertheless, thanks for this update. I hope we wont have to wait one month more for the next one. Read again the thread and build a correct list of points to fix. No matter your answers, we need to know what are your plan regarding the whole list. You have still a lot to do. Its a start keep on this way.
  4. If the item you purchased is Trans and no Copy, i dont see anything bad in the fact you resell it. You bought your item with your money, the merchant has been paid for it and the item is your own now. Since its no copy, you only will be able to sell your own copy, so i dont really think this will cause a dammage to the merchant. You can also keep it somewhere in your inventory for a future gift to someone you care :-).

What im saying is that its not honnest to strip SL of its possesions in the purpose to build others activities. As several other forumers mentioned, he laughed when someone talked to him about SL. He laughed at SL face, and so at our faces. I really dont think he look carefully after SL for now. Since now 2 monthes there are major issues at least one time a week, and often more. Servers are not in good health and i really doubt he offer to them a good maintenance and updates. Yesterday, i felt like we were still using prehistoric servers... bec obviously, SL is generating money, but the money is not reinvested in SL maintenance but for new products. And this i dont agree at all. This is irrelevant for the SL pp that generate its benefits (producters and consummers). He can do all the new products he wants, i dont care at all... but not to the detriment of us, since we are generating the money he is using for his new games. As for the shareholders.... I wont start here a discusiion about capitalism with you. But what creates weathes and economy are the producters and consummers... its their work and money (earnt with work) who create the economy. In any case shareholders... shareholdes are, for me, parasites of our economy and the world will be really better the day we will understand this. So no. SL economy is generated by OUR money and OUR contents. If we stop giving our money, you will see if shareholders will stay and give their own money..... Who generate shareholders money ? Us. I m caricaturing a bit, it would be too long and too complex to explain in english here, but here is the main of what im thinking about shareholders. Sorry if its not really subtle. Another point that is really irrevant for us. If i consider the numbers of interview he gave to introduce his new products, Rodvik seems to be really likely to communicate with everyone else is not in SL and about other subjects that our concerns while is really less likely to communicate with us and to give us updates he owes to us. Yesterday, a bug that has been 8 hours long and no, zero, peanuts, nada, que dalle, updates during all this time. Same here in this forum... So yes, Rodvik must be too busy to answer interviews for his new projects and we are nothing for him but coin purse. Irrelevant !

  7. Dear Rodvik and LL team We are today the 4th of november 2012. Yes the 4th november 2012. i insist on the day we are because of some reasons. Because, honestly, if i was only considering SL and not my calendar i wouldnt have probably never guessed we are today. And this for some reasons im going to explain : -- your last answer in this thread has been long time ago yet and the last business team update has been in the 19 th of october. Nothing since this day. Again your answer was the same list you serve to us since some monthes, with a " we are working on it"... OK... so how many centuries will you need for working on this and give us updates and fixes ? -- my marketplace displays 4 wrong pics since march 2012. Let me count ... march, april, may, june, july, august, september, october and now... november ....1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.... yeah.... 9 monthes already ! pfiew !!! times flies so fast ! 9 monthes and you still didnt find how to delete some pics on the market place website that shouldnt be there. Sighs... -- Today has been the "ponpon" (like we say in France)... your servers that you seems to look so carefully after, had a major issue.... it took me 4 hours to be able to log in SL, and 8 hours to be able to log in the website, and in the market place... of course in the meantime, i didnt even tried to rezz anything, because im bored to loose items after your unsheduled rollbacks.... So ive lost 8 hours of work on my business... but yeah... i have a full time job already, my sl business needs at least a full time aswell... but yes... 8 hours for fixing a server issue in US and in 2012 sounds something really reasonable....no ? yes after all... this is not like internet was existing since 20 years now and USA wasnt a third world country ..... why did i thought the contrary ? i was just conviced that yes we are in 2012 and SL is a US company... but where is my mind ? Today, i felt like i was in 2000, trying to log in a metauniverse that was owned by an third word country company.... but well... who cares ? Surely not you, since you didnt even thought necesary to give us updates all this 8 hours long.... No... no updates during all this time... Of course ... why giving us updates about the bug and the fix in process ? This is not like there was thousand of pp trying to log, or hundreds of creators that needed to know for planing a new schedule for their sl work. no... nothing of this... indeed. As usual... When its a matter of taking my monthly money, there is never glitches... When i buy l$, you want to have answer from the credit card i use. You surely wont give me the l$ without an answer from it.... I pay every monthes for l$. I pay for a service. I want to have updates when it s needed. You owe to us updates.. It can be about the MP points we told you here in this thread, it can be about server issues and unschedulled maintenance.... we need updates and you owe these ones to us. This is your company, and you manage it like you want, indeed, but we are customers, we pay for a service and its legitimate we ask to get what we pay for . I guess if you go in a restaurant and you dont get the food you ordered and paid in advance you wont be happy with the service. Even if we are only customers of your services this is not a way to treat us...I read here often pp complaining about bad custom support from sl merchants, but i start to think that even bad these ones have still better than yours. Since 2 monthes now, there are periodical major issues, on marketplace with the enhancement billing issue, and inworld (almost every week, and sometimes several times in a week !). This starts to make the SL business really really hard, and discouraging.... i buy L$ every month with my rl money. i never take back any SL money in RL. i always reinvest what i earn in sl. so i dont owe you anything. Im not working for you. But i pay you for a service. You owe me a service that i pay for and at least, if you cant provide the server bec of tecnical service you owe me updates. This is the less im asking for. You know Rodvik, im really sad to see how you dont care about us... how you (and your team) are so careless to let us know about the things we have asked for here. I dont think and i cant believe your purpose is to treat us like this... but you have to hear it... its how we feel it on the other side... So please, tell us when what is ur planed schedule for the improvement we asked for in this forum, tell us when you will finally be able to delete these wrong pics in our market place stores, tell us if we have to wait 9 more monthes for this bug is fixed.... and when a new major issue will happen inworld, no matter the time it will take for being fixed, ask your team to give periodical updates in the grid status page.   10. something i miss also often in the mp search engine, is a feature that would allow me to search within a MP store. Like i know the name of the item im searching, but a lot of items have this name too. So i go in the store i know they have the item im looking for, but wow, they have tons of pages.... but... grrrr... one time im in the mp store, i cant search for the name im looking for bec if so, it gives me again the whole long list of items that have the same name whatever store they are from. In short, id like to be able to make crossed search....(im not sure for the english translation of this, maybe cross-browsing is better but what i mean is id like to be able to search by name AND at the same by store, or whatever can be the datas).
  11. yeah, ive also checked this, and nothing there either. :matte-motes-smile: id just like to add, in way noone misunderstand me, this happens with business and friends ims or inventory offers. i rarely have complaints about my items, but i have a lot of help asking about how to adjust them or whatever else regarding my store and items. People knows im always glad to help, so this must be why i have so much asking. It can be also about hunts teams ive joined etc...or simply about friends... so this has to be considered as well.. it can be taken for a way to lie and cheat about my custom support, bec its not and it s affects all kind of ims and inventory offers pp send to me..

I do state this if forced to write a notecard to a merchant, that I want the return response in the form of an IM and NOT a notecard, because it's more efficient, I get them offline, they aren't affected by any cap. So lets be clear, IM's to email DO continue past the 25 message cap, they are not dropped. (I tried very hard to stay out of this thread, very hard) AMEN. So i have to admit here, you seems to be right indeed. Althought that for inventory offers from Avatar to avatar, i really cant see where is this added in the SL wiki. So after reading your post ive took some clear informations from some informated person, in particular some moderators from Firestorm support group. So yes, i aknowledge the fact you are right, ... in theory. bec this is not at all what is happening for me. So before telling the pp who says to me that they imed me or sent me smth that i never had in my mailbox (despite the fact i have my "send to my mailbox" checked), and neither in my inventory when its a matter of inventory offers, before telling them they are liers, (because, im not schizophrenic, and since i dont recieve what they say they sent to me, i wont think im the lier), i ve made a test. ive loged with my alt, while my main avi was offline and sent to this one, 30 ims (sentences copied and pasted from the forum, to make ims a lil long) and 30 objects (textures, simple objects, and notecards) So ive sent them in a reasonable waiting time, to not cause a flood. and this took me quite a whole morning. While i was sending this, i was also checking what was happening in my mail box. in a purpose to not mess and know precisely what whas recieved and what was not recieved i ve put a number from 1 to 30 in each ims , and same for objects, nc and textures. So here is the result of my test : IMS : 1 to 3 : nothing in my mailbox, neither inworld when i logged them BUT i found them in my ims window when i logged 24 hours after, despite the fact, ive logged several times before. 4 to 7 : dropped in my mailbox and i got them inworld at my next logging 8 to 12 : nothing 12 to 28 : ok in my mailbox 28 to 30 : nothing INVENTORY OFFERS : got them EXCEPT the 17 , 23 , 26 , 27 , 28 , 29 , 30. So yes, you are right about the non 25 limit in the mailbox, indeed. but can you tell me what happened to the number i didnt had ? What do have i to say to the pp who sent me the ones i never had (lets imagine indeed, they dont come from my alt) ? Why are some received and why are some not ? Ok, SL glitch, but so, how can we judge a merchant for having a bad custom support if he/she s victim from this glitch ? Needless to say that ive also checked my spam folder in my mailbox. my mailbox is well settled and none of the sl notifications comes there. So there were no sl notifications in my spam folder either. Well, i dont feel personnaly concerned, bec i know i provide to my customers a great custom support, but yes, i cant help being afraid about non delivered ims or inventory offers and so i cant answer to them. This happens often to me. My regular customers are aware about this fact and they usually ask me again when they see me online. I just hope that they know im in good faith. What you said is right, but i cant take this as a rule, because its not what is happening to me, and i dont have a so big ego to think im the only one exception. I see a lot of other merchants complaining about the same as me., Ive also found an old Jira about this. Sorry to have taken so long to answer and admit my mistake, but ive been busy, and wanted to test it by myself before coming here.

If the pics and nc were in your trash folder this mean only you discarded them Or you have recieved them while you were in unvailable status and so they were droped automatically to your trash folder. The message on the notecard looks like an ad slogan. Nothing more. This doesnt mean at all, someone logged into your account. Its Halloween season, and well, maybe a photograph shop took these pics to show you what they can do, or could be also a simple lover. anyway i agree with Steeljane, i wouldnt never dare to go with such complain to the police of my country bec they would laugh to my face. Since these items have been droped to ur trash folder, i dont see where is the pb bec there are many good reasons and not worring at all, for this happened. If you had still doubts, first the better things to do would have to contact the sender himself, second, you should have asked LL . I know really well what is fear, rl made me a real suspicious persons, but in this case, i would have investigate before within SL before.
  14. another thing to check : when you clik on the texture proprieties : who is the creator ? if someone logged into your account, and put this pics in your inventory, this person has to upolad them himself with your account. so you would have been charged 10 L$ per pic and u can easlily check this in your transaction history. and you should be displayed as the creator of these pics Otherwise, this has been sent by another avi. And again, who can be so stupid for loging into your account on the purpose to only accept these pics in your inventory OR to leave so stupid evidence of his logging into your account ? Really, i think that there are more obvious reasons that are not for worry about to explain what happened.

Really, even after reading several time your original post, i dont see what can be the purpose of someone who would log into your account just to drop 3 textures in your inventory and a notecard. You need to check your preference menu and to see if your autoaccept inventory offers is checked or not. another thing that can happen and from what ive recently learnt, (but well, its the way it should work, but not really what im experiencing.), is that the inventory offers you can have while you are not inworld, are never capped but you can miss the message inworld (because this one can be capped), so, since inventory offers(between avatars) are supposed to never been lost, but ims are capped after 25 (and often even before), i guess that you can recieve inventory offers even without notification or accept ask. there is someone in the forum that will explain you this better than me. Did you tried to contact the person who sent the pics, inworld ? maybe he will be able to explain you what happened. i think your reaction is a lil excessive. i understand indeed, your fear to have been hacked, but before calling police, the best is to be sure of what happened. there are many ways these pics can have arrived into your inventory and they are not all illegal. And again, if someone, log with your account when you are not at your pc, i bet that this person wont leave things that will be evidence of the login in your inventory. Except if this person is awesomely stupid i really dont see the purpose of login into your account and just drop 3 pics and an advertising notecard. But maybe i dont understand your original post enough well.
  16. Keyword indexing is something i have to deal with everyday in my rl job (as librarian). This is a process really subjective, 2 differents persons wont index same, and even the same person can index in a different way, in a different day. So its a really tricky topic. In my rl job, we use a thesaurus (huge one) but i dont have really any hope that LL will provide one, one day. A thesaurus would have the avantage to give a norm, but it wont in any case avoid the mistakes or scams. Another way to fix a lil this issue, would be to give the MP a really better search engine. With differents search fieds and fearures as "and" "except" etc.... At least, i think that there is something that LL should provide to the MP. Im still really amazed to this such prehistoric search engine ... A fact is also that not everyone knows how to make a good search. As we say in my job you have '" to question your question itself". This requires a lil thinking on the real purpose of your request and help a lot in finding the relevant keywords. Another fact is that not everyone has skills for indexing with keywords and whatever LL will do, wont never get the pb solved. Its something that is far from being an exact science and that is really subjective. Im afraid that this wont never be solved. So the only thing LL can do, is to provide a search engine that as more to see with our century than with prehistoric ages. We've already asked this to Rodvik in another forum thread, but still no real answer...not a surprise btw.

  18. LL wont get involved in pb between 2 residents. First check in the mp product page if the receiver is included in the contents tab.The fact the price is really different, could mean that even with a similar name, the product you bought is maybe not the same one than the inworld one. So better to check. If the receiver is in the contents tab of the product page : What you can do is look in the merchant profile picks or in the mp store policy, if there is something about how to contact them. you can also in the inworld store and check if the merchant is here orif there is an inworld mailbox or if there is a group support to join. If there is one join it and ask in there about the merchant. You can even try the mysecondlife mailbox and at last if this one still doesnt answer, leave a review on the mp. I guess that this will make react the merchant. in the end. if you still have no answer. im afraid, that you have lost your money, just remember the merchant's name in order to not purchase anymore from this store. But give the merchant a few time, sometimes RL pb can empeach merchants to come online and bring a support to their customers. good luck
  19. oh i use also last version of Firestorm. I even asked in the firestorm support group. All they can say its that its not a non related viewer issue. Its related to SL servers. So well, i understand the limit btw. i d just like this limit is same for everyone in reality. But its the way SL goes : wobbly. I would already be happy if my SL mailbox delivery would have been the promised 25. But its not. i would glady pay for a feature that increase my SL mailbox delivery, btw. But well... not on the menu for now :smileyfrustrated:
  20. notecards are included in the 25 ims/items allowance that SL should normally send to our mailbox if we choosed this option. Over 25, whatever is nc or not, they are not sent anymore to your mailbox neither in your inventory. "When a Resident is offline, up to 25 messages will be stored and delivered at the next login. This limit includes inventory offers, group notices, group invitation and IMs. All messages above this limit will becapped and not delivered." (sl wiki). so since notecards are inventory offers, i guess they are capped aswell, if you reach the 25 messages or whatever else sent to you when you are offline. And well,depending the resident, SL seems to put a different meaning to "25", since some can recieve more and some others less.

I got what you said about your issue with the 3 merchants you mentionned since my first read, but what bothered me was the way you explained it, bec imho, it can add a coin in the machine to the non rare feeling that ims capped are pure stupidity or false pretext. How do you want pp knows if a merchant use it or not ? pp doesnt know. but according to your question pp will automaticaly think 'ok, this merchant says ims are capped, so he/she's ignorant enough to not know they can use their mailbox feature. 2-you say you have ims capped plenty of time and so this is why you use the mailbox option. i answer to you , i use the mailbox option, and my ims and delivery items still cap most of the time and often since the first im. Does this make sense to you.?   23. yes lol, sorry this is a topic that get me really upset because when someone says that ims capped (or every else items not delivery) is pure lie or because of ignorance about sending our ims in emails this mean that all pp that have the ims capped sentence on their profile are lier or ignorant. And of course, i dont agree with that...Its nice from pp to come here and try to give us lessons telling us "hey ! do you know you can send ims to your emails ?" but thanks, we know already this. and again, we cant be responsable of SL failure. I know some pp doesnt have ims and items capped and even when its over the sl limit. i guess so this pp has more recieving allowance than me. The capped issue is far from being the only one failure in SL. But we are not responsable for this. and all we can do is just complain about it. Btw, of course, this is not an excuse for bad customers support. But despite the capped issue, a merchant can still have a great custom support, at the only condition indeed, he/she's aware of the customer request. Merchants with bad customers support skills are existing indeed, just like in rl. But the prob is really more wide than the capped items issue. Anyway, you wont change them, but you still can avoid them and put them in your "never purchase from" list. Its what i do. Merchants are rl persons, if they behave bad in rl, i guess they do it also in sl. I dont know any fix for this except stoping purchasing from them. :smileywink:
  24. did you thought to save your texture on your layer ? when you edit the layer, and are in the build tool tab, where you drop your texture. you should see on the top a button "save". click it before leaving the tab. or, did you upload your texture as a temporary file, this can explain your issue aswell. hope this help, otherwise contact me inworld, i will help you

SL cap every ims or group notices after 25 sent. this mean that if you have a total of 25 ims AND group notices sent to you after you logged off, you wont recieve anything in your email box.http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Instant_Message. (When a Resident is offline, up to 25 messages will be stored and delivered at the next login. This limit includes inventory offers, group notices, group invitation and IMs. All messages above this limit will becapped and not delivered.) .This mean also, that after 25 nc sent when offline, we cant get anymore. This is the official SL version. Because, in my case, some days, my ims and group notices get capped right away after i get offline. And i ALWAYS have the same message when i log about ims too much numerous and got capped. So yeah i dont get even the 25 promised ones... even for this SL is not able to work good. (But weirdly and also gladly, this doesnt include all the notifications i get from differents objects in my store, like my subscribe o matic, gifts, lucky board, counter, clever info sign vendors etc....since i get all notifications from them in my mailbox. What allow me to guess what is happening in my inwolrd store even if im not online.) Do you honnestly think that we, merchants, do not settle our ims to drop in our mailbox ? Do you think we are stupid and ignorant enough to not do it .? Of course, we know and of course we do. We even answer from our mailbox if we cant log right away to answer sm1 when we get this IMs in our mailbox. BUT WE CANT ANSWER TO SOMETHING WE DONT RECIEVE. Actually even some of the nc that are sent to me or whatever other items are ate by SL.I (before reaching to the 25) This is why, i ask in my profile to pp, to drop a nc in the clever info shop sign i have in my store, that is like an inworld mailbox and where im sure i will get the nc. After this, if pp still want to send me ims or send nc, its up to them, but i wont be responsible for something im not guilty and i dont have any way to fix. (Also note that i even disabled notice from almost all groups i have on my list in order to not fill my 25 emails allowance... and even with this... i dont reach, i never reach the 25 ims and group notices or whatever sent items, but my ims are still capped after lets say 5 or 6 emails) n my case, im connected to my mailbox, wherever i am, almost everyday. I do it from my rl work pc, from my phone, or whatever. i have also a sl client on my phone for logging in sl from it and answer pp if needed. I was like you at first, i always thought that merchants that was writing in their profile that their IMs are capped were somewhat pretentious.... Now im wearing same shoes as them, i see it in a different way. Now. if you know the fix for empeach SL to cap and eat almost everything that is sent to me when im offline, please tell me... i'll be more than happy to know and i can promise i will right away use your fix ! :smileyhappy: ps to Darius : ive indeed saw in your mp you have an item that is made to be able to read nc from mailbox, but i guess nc need to be dropped in an inworld mailbox and not directly to my profile. Ill contact you later to have some more info about it. Be carefull lol, if you are offline and my im is capped i wont have any indulgence hehehhehehehe.... just teasing :smileywink:
